i'm opening myself up.
what did you expect? radio
silence and the concrete
floor my grandmother cried on
when her husband left her
lonely? no. no. there is
a wilderness inside of me.
i had no interest in being
free until they told me i
wasn't. so happy to be
imprisoned; life is simpler
in a cage. you see, what
would i want with the
travesty that comes with
liberty. but it was you who
decided i needed surgery.
you who left me to heal
badly and there i found the
home of wild things. tucked
behind the darkest corners of
my vocal chords. travel to
the edge of the world. there
you'll find the answer to
philosophy. finally, i
have found me.
