honey, i'm healing | poetry and prose

xxxvi. semicolon

because my story isn't finished
and neither is yours and i know
you're tired and you want to give
in. i know your knees are shaking
and at night you cry silently within.
i know you think this life is too
hard and that all you have to offer
are your sins, but darling. honey pie.
if you just wait with me until the
sunrise a whole new day will
rise along with it. a whole new
you wanting to reach the other side
because things might seem bad
for now, but there is so much
more to live for than not
because your story, it's not
finished and neither is mine.
