"Honey, I'm home!" Nothing. You tried once again, "Honey, I'm home!" Again, nothing. Nothing but the dramatic music coming from the television in the living room. You slowly crept towards the sound, and there you saw a sobbing Minju in her spaghetti top and sweatpants. Messy hair, tears flowing, a box of tissues beside her. Clearly she had a rough night.
You gently reached out for her shoulder. She got startled but calmed down right away when she saw your face.
"Oh, you're back," she said as she turned her attention back to the movie. "Sorry, I'm a sobbing mess." She wiped a tear from her face and added another crumpled tissue in a pile of those beside her.
She's precious. Your only gem in a world full of shit. Hugging her is an instinct at this point. You had always wanted to make her feel special every chance you got.
Your arms wrapped around her, feeling her silky skin, smelling the fresh scent of her hair, leaning your head on her shoulder.
"Honey," she whispers.
"Yes, honey." You reply.
"Promise me you won't let go."
"I won't."
