BANGTAN BOMB!
Anyone who was everyone, was excited for the BTS and Halsey collaboration. Once leaked through the press that the artists were collabing, fans went nuts.
Having a western artist team up with them on one of their songs was a huge deal.
Preparing for the music video, the bts members were all dressed up in their outfits waiting for Halsey's arrival. All the members were nervous one way or another because it was the first time they were meeting... although-
There was one person that was a little more on edge than usual... and that was Minhee.
"Hi!!"
"Hello!"
"Wow, you guys look amazing!!" Halsey gushed as she approached the group hugging each member
"I'm excited, really excited-" Her eyes sparkled
"I had to learn the choreography, you guys are so good though-"
In the Boy With Luv music video Minhee's hair was cherry red.
"Minhee!!" Halsey shouted pointing out the female member as Namjoon pushed her forward causing the girl to grow shy
"You look beautiful!!"
As opposed to everyone else that wore pink including Halsey, Minhee's outfit was a light shade of blue.
It was a stylistic choice from the director of the MV because they wanted the female member of the group to stand out and have that contrasting dimensional colour.
"Thank you so much, you look fantastic as well-" Minhee bowed with a shy smile causing the other members to laugh making Halsey now turn bashful
Once they got to the set, Halsey was the first one to shoot her individual scenes, then onto the group scenes of all nine of them.
There were different scenes in the music video where Minhee was in the middle of a circle while all the boys stood around her.
Her and Taehyung together because of her blue dress, his blue hair; red hair matching his pink outfit.
It was a really fun video to be honest. They couldn't wait to see what their fans thought about it.
"Let's have Halsey walk into the shot with bts on the couch-" The director pointed
"Boys-" He spoke as all of their ears sharpened listening to the man
"As Halsey walks by, your attention is focused on her-"
Minhee, sitting on the left edge of the yellow couch uncrossed her legs as her eyes inadvertently began to narrow.
The anxiety in her chest began to flair up.
Um...
Was she a ghost?
She just felt completely invisible when Halsey was in the room. Minhee of course admired the female artist-
Though-
Why... was she feeling this way?
She never had a jealous bone in her body...
"What about Minhee?" Namjoon questioned catching her attention
This is why Kim Namjoon is the best human being on the planet.
He always looked out for them.
Especially her.
"Ah yes, M-Minhee??" The director turned ushering her forward
"Why doesn't Minhee walk across with me?" Halsey inputed causing the directors and producers to think and nod along in agreement
"Let's give it a shot-"
"Minhee, Halsey, start from the left and make your way to the right-"
Rapidly blinking in surprise, it took a minute for the girl to process.
Noticing an open hand in front of her, she looked up to see Halsey's beaming smile.
"O-Oh-"
Accepting the kind gesture, the two girls walked with linked arms together. The clicking of their boots echoed through the set as they prepared for the scene.
The girls were to portray their 'femininity' as the boy were to be 'awestruck' by their beauty.
and Jungkook could not tear his eyes away from his one and only.
Shooting the rest of the music video was a huge success. When it came to shooting the dance routine part of the video, Minhee was then strategically placed next to Halsey in the middle of the boys.
They were all very excited for their new choreography and couldn't wait for ARMIES to see it.
Having a rough start with her emotions in the beginning, it soon faded away once realizing how much fun they were having.
After the single and MV dropped, BTS and Halsey did a lot of promo while they were in the America.
Since they were still on tour for LYS Speak yourself, it was the perfect opportunity.
Currently they were doing press for Boys with Luv as they were in the middle of an interview.
"Halsey!! You can be our added female member!!" Jimin jumped
"Yeah yeah!!" Taehyung boasted
"Oh stopp..." Halsey blushed sitting between RM and J-Hope covering her face with her hands
Suga, RM, Halsey and J-Hope sat on the couch as Taehyung, Jin, Jungkook and Minhee sat on taller stools behind them.
(They sat in that order too)
The boys being too excited for the interview didn't even bat an eye to realize what they were saying. They all were thrilled to be here in America.
While Minhee on the other hand did all she could to not throw up her breakfast from the morning.
"We'd love to have you as our female member!!" Jin placed a hand on her shoulder from behind nodding along causing the rest and the interviewer to laugh along
Hearing Jimin first, made her body go numb. As the interview went on, Minhee sat as quite as one can be.
"Halsey, BTS, thank you so much-" The interviewer smiled before cutting the take.
Minhee was in a complete daze sitting there on the stool as the rest of the members casually conversed with Halsey.
"Minhee-"
"Minheeeeeeeeee" Two hands shook her shoulders letting her mind and body snap back into reality
She tilted her head backward to match the eyes of Seokjin.
"We're leaving-" Hoseok spoke as the rest of the members were all up ready to leave the set except for her
"O-Oh-" She swiftly got off the stool
Pulling her aside softly, a figure blocked her view.
"Is...there something wrong?" His big bright doughy eyes locked with hers causing Minhee to briefly paused for a moment.
"Jungkook, Minhee, let's get going-" Namjoon proclaimed as the youngest dodged her boyfriends question following their leader out of the room.
Somethings up... and Jungkook wasn't the type just to let things go, especially when Minhee was involved.
"Minhee-"
"Minhee-ah-"
"Halsey fits right in doesn't she?" Jimin smiled
"Yashhh! She's amazing~" Taehyung gushed
"She's so friendly!" Hoseok jumped in
It's not that Minhee hated Halsey-
That was the farthest from it actually.
"What do you think Minhee?"
"Minhee-ah?"
She stared forward, completely zoned out as the others were too distracted in conversation.
Pausing, Minhee took a frustrated deep breath before turning around to them with glassy eyes.
"I'M BTS' FEMALE MEMBER-" The girl abruptly shouted
"IT'S ME-" She cracked trying to hold in all the tears she could
Embarrassed due to her confession, all the boys went silent with widened eyes.
There was no need to be jealous of Halsey, Minhee knew that-
Then why-
Why was it bothering her so much?
They all stared watching her silently not knowing what to say as Minhee stood there. Even Namjoon this time was at a loss for words. Did they really make her feel like that?
Now extremely embarrassed, the girl could feel her cheeks flaming red.
"L-Let's just get going-" She quickly rolled her eyes wiping her face charging through the seven boys onward towards their car.
"M-Minnie!!" Jungkook felt the pit of his stomach drop as he raced after her as Jimin crouched down holding his head with his hands.
He felt the absolute worst considering his the one that said the comment first.
Namjoon racked a hand through his hair as Hoseok the rest of the boys averted their eyes down to the floor.
Just as Minhee slide open the door to the van, a force behind her slid it back shut. Looking forward she saw the reflection of the glass revealing a very somber looking Jungkook.
Turning around too embarrassed to look him in the eyes, her head hit his chest as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
The rest of the members soon followed in pursuit noticing their maknae's in the distance.
First was Namjoon wrapping his arms around Jungkook and Minhee-
Followed by Yoongi, Jimin, Taehyung, Hoseok and Jin forming a giant group hug in the middle of the garage parking lot.
"Minhee-ah I-I would n-never-" Jimin began
"N-Never make you f-feel that way-"
Letting go, Minhee turned to look at them.
"N-No... I-"
"I apologize for being unprofessional-" She deeply bowed
"I shouldn't have yelled. That was ignorant of me. Please forgive me."
The girl stood still in her bowed position, eyes clenched shut, unable to move.
She was embarrassed for semi making a scene while doing promo. It was stupid of her. It wasn't right... and due to that she felt guilty in a way.
Like a total idiot.
"Minhee, there's no need for that-" Seokjin spoke softly
"We would never-" Hobi whispered as he stroked her hair
"I think we all got caught up being here in America..." Namjoon told hold if the conversation
"Minhee-ah, you're our beautiful jewel-" He locked eyes with the girl as he held the side of her reddened cheeks with his hand
Taking a deep breath with the anxiety in her chest beginning to waver. She wrapped her arms around his torso as his shoulders slightly stiffened due to the unexpected embrace.
Kim Namjoon... She just has a soft spot for him.
Looking down at her made the leader smile as he wrapped his arms around her once again as his body began to sway.
"Oh Minhee-ah..." Taehyungs' put a hand up to his head
"O-Okay, O-Okay-" She released Namjoon wiping her face
Having enough of the sob fest, Minhee didn't want the boys to hold on to this guilt anymore. Honestly it wasn't worth it. If she just kept her jealousy to herself then they wouldn't be in this family debacle right now.
"Let's go eat, i'm starving-" She crawled into the back van followed by Jungkook, Taehyung and Suga with Namjoon, Hobi, Seokjin and Jimin in the row in front of them
"Minhee-ah you want barbecue for dinner?" Namjoon turned to the girl
Waiting for her response, they all sat in silence. Yup the uncomfortable tension was still up in the air. Someone had to break it-
and that someone was Minhee herself.
"With extra pork belly-"
"Now that's my girl!~" Jimin smiled as he clapped causing the rest of the boys and Minhee to put back in a smile
"Extra it is then-" Namjoon repeated with a small smirk as he gave the driver the address to a near by Korean restaurant
They go through hardships all the time, but one thing that keeps them humble is each other that's for sure.
