“OH THIS F*CKING HURTS!!” I screamed into my pillow.
Veronica laughed and I looked up and glared at her. She instantly stopped and looked away.
I hate this stupid hospital. My room was so boring. All white with only one bed, a couch, and a chair.
“It’s going to hurt, stupid.” she said, chuckling to herself.
“Can’t they give me some medicine!” I snapped.
This hurt so much. The doctor has YET to give me some pain numbing medicine.
Never have kids.
“Not yet.” she sighed.
When we first got here, it was all fine, then I laid down and BAM the pain hit me.
Veronica is all excited to see her little niece and nephew. I on the other hand, just want them out.
Sweat was making my hair stick to my forehead.
The stupid contractions came every 30 minutes and for 10 seconds each time. They hurt.
“You know, I always thought that I didn’t have to push them out…” I trailed off.
“Oh, you don’t have to, just we never really said you wanted to…” she said.
I looked at her in shock
“DO YOU MEAN THAT I NEVER HAD TO GO THROUGH THIS!” I shouted at her.
She flinched back a bit.
“Stop yelling..” she sighed.
There was a knock on the door and then the doctor came in.
I glared at him.
“ How are we doing?” he asked. He has silver hair and bright blue eyes, still looked young though.
“Just swell.” I snapped.
He chuckled and started talking about stuff I didn’t care about.
I rested my eyes and just thought about all that has happened to me.
I got pregnant, my boyfriend -ex- ‘died’, my sister, who was supposedly dead, is alive, my ex is alive, my ex has another dog to mess with, and now I’m having my freaking kids. Great.
“Did you hear what he just said?” veronica asked me.
“What? No.” I don’t care anyways…
“Figures.. Mom and dad are on their way.” she said..
“No way. How?” I asked. They are going to kill me.
“Dad is a DOCTOR, and that other DOCTOR knows him. Duh.” she said smartly.
“Okay, you know what, GO SUCK IT!” I said.
I turned around and laid on my side, this sucks.
I didn’t want to be pregnant… I didn’t want Kyle to leave me… I didn’t want my parents to get into this mess.
I’m a horrible person..
I just stared at the wall, waiting for time to pass, slowly.
Things got more painful, and I become more irritated.
There was a light knock at the door and a shuffle of footsteps.
I heard someone gasp and start crying.
It was my mom.
“Oh, veronica!” she sobbed.
“Hey, mom…” she said awkwardly.
I smiled a bit, she totally deserved this.
“How is she doing?” is was my father that asked this.
“Just fine. She’s been resting a bit. Very cranky..” Veronica said.
“Where is Kyle?” he asked.
“Uhm… He isn’t going to be here…” she said quietly.
“why?” Both parent’s asked at the same time.
“He.. Has.. Another.. Girlfriend….” she said looking around the room, avoiding their eyes.
“WHAT?” my mother yelled.
It made me jump and yelp.
“You woke her up, thanks mom.” she said flatly.
I looked at my parents with wide eyes.
“Mom. Tone it down.” I sighed. I put my hand on my stomach and relaxed.
“Hazel!!” my mom said excitedly.
“Mummy!” I said. V laughed.
“Look, I know I might look like one, but I was worried sick about you. You didn’t come home and I never knew where you went. I couldn’t have even began to think about loosing my last baby.” she said, still crying.
“I know mom, I didn’t plan on going anywhere but to eat..” I sighed.
Another wave of pain hit me, hard.
This time it lasted a tiny bit longer and it hurt so much.
I bit my lip to hold a scream. It hurt so bad.
“I wonder why things aren’t moving faster…” my dad noted. “Usually with twins, things move pretty quick. When did you get here?” he asked veronica.
“About 4 hours ago.” she said, thinking.
“She should have already had the babies by now, or are close to having them.” he said.
“ get the doctor in here. Something must be wrong. Has he been checking her?” he asked again.
“No..” she drifted off.
He instantly ran out of the room down the hallway.
“Okay then..” I sighed, after a harsh moment of silence.
He came back about 15 minutes later.
“Looks like I will be the one to deliver the babies…” he said, angry.
“What’s your issue?” I asked him.
“The doctor doesn’t know what to do. The babies could be dead and we don’t even know it. You have to have them, now.” he said, pacing.
“Dad. You’re funny…” I said trying to move that out of my mind.
“I’m serious.” he snapped.
This can not be happening to me. I can’t possibly be having them now.
“Now?” I asked, my fear rising in me.
“Now.” he confirmed.
