(We start off at Cerise lab)
Ash: you ready?
(Y/N): heck yeah. I'm gonna beat Marshal.
Goh: that's the spirit.
(They head off to Galar as they reach Stow-on-Side stadium and as they arrive they see Marshall as Bea does a bow of respect of sorts before he heads inside)
(Y/N): I'm full of fighting spirit now.
(We cut to the match starting)
Announcer: welcome to Stow-on-Side stadium ladies and gentlemen! Today's world coronation series ultra class battle will be a 3 vs 3! On one side we have one of the elite 4 of the Unova region who has recently travelled and trained in Galar, currently ranked 14th and wearing a dynamax band it is Marshall! (He walks out serious and focused) and his opponent currently ranked 17th in the world coronation series from Blackthorn City and overcoming the odds against Tobias and someone according to records has not lost a world coronation series battle yet is (Y/N) (L/N)! (He walks out ready) and it seems he's chosen a dynamax band for today too!
Goh: wait, (Y/N) isn't using Dragonite though.
Ash: we'll see who he uses it for.
Rotom drone: will both trainers please send out their Pokémon, thank you! In 3...2...1 go!
Marshall/(Y/N): go!/I choose you!
(They both send out their Pokémon as (Y/N) sends out galarian slowbro and Marshal sends out medicham)
Announcer: so the first two Pokémon are medicham and slowbro!
Rotom drone: begin!
Marshal: medicham use zen headbutt!
(Medicham rushes in with zen headbutt)
(Y/N): use psychic!
(However Galarian slowbro is a bit slow and is hit by zen headbutt as the two heads clash but whole medicham does damage it is the one who gets knocked back and slowbro seems relatively fine and clueless as usual as it then use psychic and levitated and smashes medicham into the ground)
Goh: it always was hardheaded (Ash laughs at this)
(Y/N): use surf!
(Galarian slowpoke uses surf as it rides the waves)
Marshal: ice punch!
(Medicham leaps up and uses ice punch and freezes the water of surf and galarian slowbro falls off and in front of medicham)
Announcer: such power! It's ice punch managed to freeze all that water and it seems Slowbro has took a tumble!
Marshal: fire punch!
(In an absolute smooth manner it switches from ice punch in its left hand to igniting its right hand in fire and hitting galarian slowbro with a point blank fire punch and hits it through the ice as it comes crashing through and landing on (Y/N)'s side of the battlefield as it gets back up)
(Y/N): you okay? (Slowbro nods) alright then use surf again!
(Slowbro uses surf as the waves come crashing over the iced up one and hits medicham)
Marshal: now jump!
(Medicham jumps even after getting hit by surf)
Marshal: now use high jump kick!
(Medicham gets ready to use high jump kick)
(Y/N): shell side arm!
(Galarian slowbro gets a serious expression and shoots loads of poison out at fast speeds hitting Medicham and avoids the high jump kick as Medicham is hurt)
(Y/N): now use slack off!
(Galarian Slowbro uses slack off as it begins to heal up)
Marshal: don't let it rest too much Medicham and use high jump kick!
(Medicham jumps back and uses high jump kick hitting it this time as galarian slowbro is knocked back and stops slacking off)
Marshal: ice punch!
(Y/N): use surf!
(Both Pokémon use their attacks as surf hits Medicham but it powers through and hits Slowbro as Medicham falls and is unable to battle as Slowbro smiles until it feels weird and looks at itself as it begins to freeze and we see it's completely frozen)
Announcer: medicham is down but it's left one last surprise before it's fall!
Marshal: medicham return. (Returns medicham) go! (Sends out sawk)
Rotom drone: begin!
Marshal: use stone edge!
(Sawk use stone edge which makes its way towards its frozen target and hitting as the ice breaks as slowbro goes flying and is hurt a lot)
(Y/N): okay so close range is definitely a no go. Use psychic!
(Galarian slowbro uses psychic and slams sawk into the ground)
Marshal: close combat! (We see sawk emerge completely fine and rushes in using close combat hitting slowbro at insanely fast speeds as slowbro hits into the side of the arena and is unable to battle)
(Y/N): oh no slowbro!
Announcer: and slowbro is down!
(Y/N): slowbro return (returns slowbro) you were amazing. Now go! (Sends out his next Pokémon as it towers over sawk and we see it's stonejourner)
Announcer: next up is stonejourner and it's massive!
(Y/N): now we can go all out physical attacking you ready stonejourner (Stonejourner nods and rushes towards sawk)
Marshal: a fighting spirit huh, let's test it. Sawk use poison jab!
(Sawk uses poison jab and rushes in and hitting stonejourner who is not pleased)
(Y/N): stonejourner use rock slide!
(Stonejourner uses rock slide)
Marshal: dodge it!
(Sawk dodges them all with ease and even jumping on some and reaching face level of stonejourner)
Marshal: now use close combat!
(Sawk uses close combat as stonejourner is punched over and over in the face as it stumbles but stays standing and ready to fight)
(Y/N): that's the spirit now use heat crash!
(Stonejourner jumps into the air as Sawk is just finishing its descent to the ground as it coats in fire and crashes down onto Sawk)
Announcer: and what a crash all that weight on top of Sawk will it be able to move?
(We see Sawk is not quite pinned but it's struggling to move as it's struggling to hold one of Stonejourner's feet up)
(Y/N): now stonejourner let's show your special training!
(We see the foot raise off Sawk as we see stonejourner go on one of it's tiny arms for a brief second as it kicks Sawk away as Stonejourner is back on its feet and charging)
(Y/N): now use heavy slam!
(Stonejourner heavy slams on top of Sawk doing some damage compared to a normal size stonejourner's heavy slam since it's a bit heavier than what a normal stonejourner would be)
Announcer: it seems stonejourner has managed to turn this thing around but has it really?
Marshal: sawk use retaliate!
(Sawk uses retaliate as it gets free and delivers a devastating blow to stonejourner as retaliate does double the damage if the user is hit first and even if rock is resistant so it's neutral it'd still a hell of a lot of damage)
Marshal: now close combat!
(Sawk uses close combat hitting stonejourner as stonejourner falls to the ground hurt a lot)
Marshal: after taking so many super effective attacks your stonejourner is quite the fighter
(Y/N): the same goes for your sawk, shouldn't expect less of an elite 4's Pokémon.
(Y/N) thoughts: seems I'll have to use it, stonejourner is almost out of gas and I need it to last as long as possible, sorry excadrill. (He returns stonejourner to it's pokeball as the pokeball grows as he activates his dynamax band) let's raise the stakes, dynamax! (He throws it as stonejourner comes out and it's massive)
Marshal: so you've used your dynamax.
(Y/N): oh yeah, now stonejourner use max steelspike!
(Stonejourner uses max steelspike as it heads towards Sawk)
Marshal: close combat them!
(We see sawk use close combat and destroying it's way through them but eventually it's overwhelmed and hit by max steelspike)
Goh: now stonejourner is even tankier.
Marshal: use poison jab!
(Sawk rushes and uses poison jab)
(Y/N): now use max flare!
(Stonejourner uses max flare hitting sawk point blank as sawk falls to the ground but manages to get up to one knee)
Marshal: close combat!
(Sawk rushes in and hits close combat on the Goliath's legs)
(Y/N): now then let's commence with the ending kick it up and use max rockfall!
(Stonejourner kicks sawk into the air as it begins falling but as the massive rock layer appears sawk manages to land on top of it and balance itself only for Stonejourner to hit it off with one of its little arms as the rock also begins to fall and the layer of rocks crushes sawk and we see sawk is unable to battle as a sandstorm kicks up)
Rotom drone: sawk is unable to battle!
Announcer: that's another one of Marshal's Pokémon down! And dynamax for Stonejourner is up! (We see stonejourner shrink down to it's normal massive size)
Marshal: sawk return. (Returns sawk) you were great. Now I choose you! (Sends out conkelldur)
Announcer: it's his ace Pokémon conkelldur!
Rotom drone: battle begin!
(Y/N): use stone edge!
(Stonejourner uses stone edge but conkelldur just use it's two stone pillars and destroys them all with ease as it takes damage with ease)
(Y/N): okay then how about use heavy slam!
Marshal: use bulk up and catch it!
(Conkelldur uses bulk up as it gets bulkier and blocks the incoming heavy slam with ease with its two stone pillars)
Marshal: stone edge!
(Conkelldur shoves stonejourner off and uses stonejourner hitting it and stonejourner is knocked back as it's taking more damage from the sandstorm)
(Y/N): this is not gonna be easy. Alright use heat crash!
Marshal: use hammer arm!
(Stonejourner and Conkelldur use their attacks as they clash and there's lots of smoke as we see Conkelldur did get hit but is still standing as we see stonejourner standing as it falls to the ground is unable to battle as conkelldur takes damage from the sandstorm)
Rotom drone: stonejourner is unable to battle!
Announcer: the Goliath has fallen! It's now even with both competitors down to one Pokémon! Who will (Y/N)'s last Pokémon be?
(We see (Y/N) sweating amid nervous at first but then smirks, after all what are you gonna do if the odds are stacked against you, your backs against the wall, you've just gotta give it your all)
(Y/N): I choose you! (Sends out excadrill)
Announcer: his last Pokémon is excadrill and Marshal has a huge type advantage!
(Y/N) thoughts: we have the speed and agility, I believe we can do this.
(Y/N): excadrill! (Excadrill looks at it's trainer as one look at each other and they both grin) let's do this and get much much stronger! (Excadrill raises an arm into the air as it then gets ready to battle)
Marshal: conkelldur use stone edge.
(Conkelldur uses stone edge)
(Y/N): use dig!
(Excadrill uses dig and digs underground and avoids it as it appears behind conkelldur)
(Y/N): iron head!
(Excadrill uses iron hesd but without turning conkelldur blocks it with one of its stone pillars)
Marshal: nice try.
(Y/N): my try isn't over yet. Now use drill run!
(Excadrill uses drill run as it drills against the stone pillar)
Marshal: use hammer arm!
(Conkelldur uses hammer arm hitting down on Excadrill)
Marshal: good attempt.
(Y/N): (grins) more like great attempt.
Marshal: huh?
(The smoke clears as we see excadrill on the floor as it gets back and whilst conkelldur is standing one of its stone pillars are broken in half as the sandstorm goes away)
Announcer: what's this excadrill has drilled one of the mighty stone pillars of conkelldur's in two! Now it can't defend itself as well! While it's at a disadvantage it's sure putting up one hell of a fight!
Marshal: most impressive.
(Y/N): we're not done, sandstorm! (Excadrill summons a sandstorm as it can now utilise its sand force ability once again)
(Y/N): now iron head!
(Excadrill uses iron head charging in with iron head hitting conkelldur and making it skid back and it's starting to get the upper hand)
Marshal: hammer arm!
(Conkelldur goes for hammer arm)
(Y/N): dodge it with dig!
(Excadrill digs underground)
Marshal: aim for the ground!
(Conkelldur smashes the ground around it but nothing happens as (Y/N) grins as excadrill then pops up in front of conkelldur and hits it with dig and pops out in its normal non drill form)
(Y/N): now use drill run!
(Excadrill make worsted into a drill and hits conkelldur straight in the chest with drill run hurting it more as it's taking damage from the sandstorm)
Marshal: retaliate!
(Conkelldur uses retaliate)
(Y/N): block it!
(Excadrill takes the attack head and while it skids back we see it's used one of its metal claws to block the attack as it lifts its claw as we see it's face is one full of confidence)
(Y/N): now dig and drill run over and over!
Marshal: retaliate!
(Excadrill hits conkelldur with drill run and digs into the ground and pops back up and hits another drill run as it does it hitting conkelldur from all angles and avoiding retaliate each time since conkelldur is a lot slower from the amount it's use of hammer arm as we see when it stops conkelldur is heavily injured and tired out as it's taken more and more damage from the sandstorm too and the sandstorm finally subsides)
Announcer: it's completely one sided conkelldur can't seem to get a hit on excadrill what's so ever! It must have done too many hammer arms and it's sped has been heavily reduced!
Marshal thoughts: I can't let this momentum continue or I will lose for sure. (He returns conkelldur to it's pokeball and activates his dynamax band) grow stronger and dynamax! (He throws it and emerges conkelldur who has grown larger and dynamaxed)
Announcer: he's used it! He's dynamaxed conkelldur!
Marshal: now use max knuckle!
(Max knuckles is used as a giant fist appears)
(Y/N): dig!
(Excardill tried to avoid it with dig but the fist hits the ground breaking and sending excadrill out of the ground)
Announcer: max knuckle connects and does heavy damage, knocking excadrill out the ground!
(Y/N): drill run!
(Excadrill usesndrill run hitting conkelldur but it doesn't seem fazed)
Announcer: excadrill gets a hit in but it doesn't matter!
Marshal: use max strike!
(Conkelldur used max strike knocking excadrill away and slowing it down as it looks pretty beat up, especially from that max knuckle)
(Y/N): Excadrill! We can do this! Are you ready! (Excadrill nods and is pumped as (Y/N) raises his hands as it glows)
(Y/N) thoughts: it's all or nothing, out all out assault. You've got this Excadrill, I believe I'm you (Excadrill seemed to hear him and nods as we see they're in this little world as they go back to the normal world and are ready)
Marshal thoughts: (sees this) it's just like champion Iris! I may lose because if this but I wanna test if it's power has increases, if so not only does he bare a similar gift to Unova's champion but he'll be more of a big threat in the Pokémon world coronation series than anyone ever thought.
Marshal: use max rockfall!
(Conkelldur uses max rockfall as a massive layer of rock emerges and begins to fall)
(Y/N): Excadrill we'll get stronger and stronger! We'll break through this rock! USE DRILL RUN!!!
(We see both he and Excadrill are grinning as excadrill uses drill run and goes in full force and more as it heads towards the rock and Conkelldur)
(Y/N): WE'LL BE A DRILL THAT CAN PIERCE THE HEAVENS!!! THIS ATTACK IS NOTHING!!! (Excadrill shouts out as it drills through the rock and heads towards Conkelldur) GOOOO!!!!! (It hits Conkelldur in the face and lands back on the ground as Conkelldur falls and begins shrinking as we see it's unable to battle)
Rotom drone: Conkelldur is unable to battle Excadrill wins and the victory goes to (Y/N) from Blackthorn city!
(Y/N): oh yeah! We did it Excadrill! (He rushes over and hugs Excadrill who swirls him around in excitement)
Marshal: thanks a lot Conkelldur have a nice rest (returns Conkelldur)
Announcer: and that's today's battle folks! Our winner today with a heaven piercing drill and it is (Y/N) (L/N)! He's progressed further in the ultra class!
Rotom drone: there has been a change in the world coronation series rankings effective immediately, thank you! (Flies off)
Announcer: ladies and gentlemen we've seen (Y/N) has broken the top 10 of the Pokémon world coronation series! And his undefeated streak continues! (we see his rank is now number 10)
Goh: way to go!
Ash: yeah!
(We see the crowd cheering and chanting for (Y/N) as he looks at everyone)
(We cut to backstage as Marshal approaches (Y/N))
Marshal: hey I wanted to talk to you about that thing earlier
(Y/N): what thing?
Marshal: the thing with your hand glowing.
(Y/N): oh that happened again? I didn't notice this time I was too busy focusing and having fun in our battle
Marshal: (laughs) I thought that might have happened, your a funny one.
(Y/N): do you know what it is?
Marshal: I'm not sure of this phenomenon exactly but there is someone who will have a better idea and that will Drayden and our champion Iris.
(Y/N): say, how is Iris doing?
Marshal: she's got a promotional match coming up to see if she can make it to the masters 8.
(Y/N): woah, so fast? Does she use any of these (motions to his arms with his gimmicks)
Marshal: (shakes his head no) just her spirit, skill and the bond she has with her Pokémon
(Y/N): that's impressive. In some battles I felt like I'd lose if I didn't use any of these. However, I know what my next step is and that's talk to Iris and get her to teach me more about this. The best way I know to do that is either go and see her or the more fun way and ask her after battling her in the masters 8, I know she's gonna win the promotion match she has coming.
Marshal: well she'll meet you there but first you've got to get into the masters 8.
(Y/N): already on it, in fact I already have my next match.
(We cut to the trio)
Ash: hey (Y/N), who do you have to face next?
Goh: yeah, I'm quite interested.
(Y/N): see for yourself. (Shows them his phone as we see it's the trainer currently ranked 9th Flint)
