Aurora
I sat with Clarke as she took the chip out of Abby. Once Abby woke up they had a heartfelt mother-daughter moment that was ruined by Bellamy pointing a gun at her
"Hey no it's ok I used the EMP. She's back." Clarke reassured
"What about Ontari? Thought you said we had one shot with it?" Murphy questions
"Ontari is brain dead. She isn't an option. Is the floor secured?" Clarke asks
"For now yeah."
"Good. Then we have time." Clarke nods
"Time for what?" I ask
"An ascension ceremony."
"Clarke-" Bellamy began
"Bellamy Aurora is our only way. Luna refused the flame and Ontari is brain dead. Give me another option to defeat Alie and we'll do it." Clarke cuts Bellamy off
Silence
"Just be careful, okay?" Bellamy sighs
Clarke and I nod.
Tavia comes frantically running in.
"Whatever you're doing, do it fast."
"Why? What happened?"
"They're climbing." Tavia informs
We look outside to see everyone using ladders to help them climb up the building.
"Yeah let's hurry the ascension ceremony..."

I sit on Lexa's throne and Clarke moves my hair out of the way
"Are your ready?" She asks
I nod
She says the passphrase and puts the Flame in me. I feel it crawl inside of me and I close my eyes, groaning.
"Are you okay?" I hear Bellamy
"Give it a moment."
I wake up and smile
"I know how to defeat Alie. I need to take the chip. I have to go into the City of Light and find the kill switch."
"Uhh yeah seems like a great idea." Murphy jokes
"Aurora... Alie wants the Flame. If you take the chip, you're giving it to her. The second someone sees you, Alie will know you're there." Abby worries
"The Flame will protect me. I don't know how I know I just..." I nod
"I believe you." Bellamy says before giving me the chip
I close my eyes then before I knew it, I was in the City of Light.
I walked around town looking for clues for the kill switch. After walking into a crowded area, I notice Jasper walking with ice cream in his hand.
He sits down and smiles while taking in his surroundings. I try talking to him and even wave my hand in front of his face but he doesn't notice me.
"They can't see me." I realize before seeing a woman with her hair styled with the sacred symbol.
I then proceeded to follow her. A couple of minuets later, all eyes were on me.
How?
I ran in the opposite direction with everyone on my tail. Sadly, they quickly caught up to me while I was running up some stairs and they kicked me down. There was so many, I didn't have a weapon and I didn't want to hurt these people since they were innocent.
While being beaten to death, Lexa comes in, slaughtering the people trying to kill me.
"Lexa?!"
She smiles at me before slashing everyone who came my way. She then embraced me in a warm hug.
"Our fight is not over." She reassured
I followed her away from the people charging towards us. While we were running, we stop to look up at the sky. It was changing from day to night in seconds.
"What is happening?" I question
"Alie knows your here. She's uploading the Flame from your mind. Your mind is changing things. Day turns to night. It rains. We have to hurry." Lexa urges
We see a little girl riding a bike and know it's safe to follow her so we quickly run after the girl.
The girl leads us to a wired fence.
"It's a firewall." Lexa explains
"I don't understand..."
"You'll never get to the kill switch."
We turn to see Jasper and Lexa takes out her swords.
"No it's okay. Jasper what're you doing here?" I ask
"Trying to stop you. You see the City of Light now. It's perfect. There's peace, happiness, safety. Why would you want to deny that to anyone?" Jasper smiles
"She's torturing people to get them here. Taking their memories and controlling them. This isn't even you. It's Alie." I scoff
"She's doing what has to be done." He fires back
"She took away our choice. Human beings have free will. We get to decide how we live." I state
"Human beings are the only species that act against our own self-interest. We torture each other. We fight, hurt each other... none of that exists here. Alie is protecting us from ourselves." Jasper explains
"Aurora, there's still time. We'll find another sign, let's go." Lexa reassured
"We can't let you do that." Jasper says, getting in the way
"Aurora, there's nowhere to run! It's over. The second AI can no longer protect you." Jaha says walking in with a ton of other people
"If I remove the flame, will it stop the update?" I theorize
"Yes but no one has ever done that by choice before. Regardless, you will become one of them. Alie will get the Flame either way." Lexa frowns
"Then stop fighting." Jasper begs
"Aurora..."
Suddenly, a door appears on the wall, then a white raven was painted on it.
"Raven." I smile walking towards it but Jasper stood in front of it.
Lexa punched him so I would be able to get in.
"We can't let them follow. Go! I'll hold them off. I'll always be with you." She reassured before running towards the crowd
I sigh before opening the door and walking into the room which was weirdly space?
"Commander. I'm glad you made it." I turn to see a very familiar woman
"You're Becca Pramheda." I gasp
"Becca's fine. There isn't much time. The code is nearly updated. Alie 2.0 has merged with your mind. But your mind is in control. And the only mind that is in control can operate the kill switch. This is it." Becca lead me to a white lever
I look down on it and place my hand on the bar.
"If you pull that... you will be killing everyone. See for yourself." Alie warns
We walk to the window to see the Earth being destroyed.
"The nuclear power plants that were destroyed by the bombs have begun to melt down. My drones detected the first of them 4 months ago. There are more than a dozen at risk plants around the world, 7 currently burning. Global radiation levels are already rising. By my calculations, in less that 6 months, 96% of Earths surface will be uninhabitable. Even for those born in space. So you see, the City of Light is the only thing that can save you." Alie explains
"Black rain will come first. There will be no drinkable water. Precancerous le-" Alie was cut off by Becca
"She's stalling. As soon as the update is complete, she'll delete the kill switch." Becca says before walking us back to the kill switch
"I'm not. I'm telling the truth."
"Why tell us now? If it's true, why not use this to get people to take the chip instead of torturing them?" I question
"The last time I warned my creator of a threat to human survival, she chose to lock me away and came here to work on my replacement." Alie replied
"Define perverse Instantiation"Becca asks
"Perverse Instantiation. The implimation of a benign final goal through deleterious methods unforeseen by a human programmer."
"Like killing 6.5 billion people to solve overpopulation. The goal isn't everything, Alie. How you reach the goal matters too. I'm sorry that I didn't teach you that." Becca frowns
"It's now or never, Aurora. Once Alie's upgraded, I won't be able to help you anymore." Becca warned
"But I will. In the City of Light. You don't have to bear the burden of decisions like this, Aurora."
"I won't pull it if you give their memories back and let them decide for themselves." I offer
"She can't, Aurora. Her core command is to make life better for mankind. She still think she's doing it. 20 seconds and the kill switch will be gone." Becca warns
"Would you really condemn the human race to die in 6 months?" Alie questions
"We'll figure something out. We always do."
"Yes Aurora there's still hope! You have 10 seconds."
"Let me ease the pain, Aurora."
"You don't ease pain, you overcome it. And we will." I say before pulling the switch.
After I pulled the switch, I woke up exactly where I was sitting. Only there was a lot of people around me.
"You did it." Abby smiles
I saw Abby look at Kane as he cried and told her to go to him.
Clarke and Bellamy came to me and asked me if I was okay and I quickly nodded, frowning
"Aurora, you're not looking like someone who just saved the world." Bellamy worries
"Because we didn't..." I sigh before seeing Tavia stabbing Pike in the gut, killing him. I slightly smile at the sight. He got what was coming for him.
She then walks out of the throne room without saying another word.
