Chy
The car ride back was an awkward silence. When we pulled back up to the house people was still there. It was around 3 something. When I walked in everyone kept asking what happened but it was none of their business so I lied & said nothing & kept it moving. I laid in my bed & dozed off until Khy walked in with Fredo behind her.
"Wassup Khy, why we in here." Fredo chuckled.
"Tell him Chy." Khy said to me ,
"It's not the time." I said as I pulled the covers over my face.
"When cause it's only gonna get bigger & bigger." Khy said,
"What you mean ? Bigger." Fredo said giving Khy a creepy look.
Khy put her hand on her hip & bucked her eyes at me. I started to speak but pasha knocked on the door.
"Hey I don't mean to sound rude but what's going on." She said with a nervous giggle.
Fredo gave me a lil smirk. "That's what I'm trynna see" he said.
I didn't say anything I was already feeling embarrassed. Khy looked at me & rolled her eyes which pissed me Tf off.
"Okay fuck it!" I said as I laid in bed.
"I'm pregnant," I said nonchalantly
"Okay so why is he in here tho." Pasha said.
"It's his baby common sense." I added.
Pasha looked up at him. "Furreal Fredo?"
"Idk , I mean I did smash. But me & her go talk about this later." He said.
& sure enough we did 2 weeks later. I haven't talked to him since then. I've been at school , at work & sleep. But today is my off day. & I laid in my bed drinking smoothies & eating chips. While I was watching Martin this nigga Fredo walk in my room & kick off his shoes & lay next to me. He kissed me on my neck but I whiped it off.
"What do you want Fredo." I said bluntly
"None but uhh , if I give you the money , can you get an abortion or something?" He said as he gave me an evil look.
"I don't need your money, I'll do it tho." I said .
I'm not the type to try to force someone to be a father, but the thought of being a mom seemed sweet.
I called for my appointment but they set me up for a whole month later. Like wtf. I tried to ignore the fact that I was pregnant so I wouldn't get attached. I didn't take no prenatal pills no nothing. It's now March, I'm 3 months. & im sitting in this doctors office waiting on them to call my name.
"Cheyenne Salazar." The doctor said.
I got up & laid on the table while the nurse made me take another test after the test they gave me an ultrasound just to make sure. I heard the lil heart beat & tears began to roll from my eyes. But I didn't care. I then looked up & seen my lil fetus moving its arms & legs. I sat there & thought about it I hopped up so fast & stormed out in tears. I couldn't do my baby like that , FUCK FREDO ! I can do this on my own. Instead of getting an abortion I started my prenatal care.
When I got back home Fredo was in my room.
"Fuck is you doing in here." I said.
"Nothing." He said
"You do it.?" He added.
"Yep." I said.
My bags fell as I tried to plop on my bed making everything fall out. Fredo quickly grabbed an ultra sound.
"This was the baby?" He asked.
"Mhm." I said as I snatched the ultrasound from out of his hand.
"Get out ." I added
"Go with one of yo bitches & stay Tf away from me." I continued.
He smirked at me & got up , "will do."
I'm staying in school & working & I almost have enough for my own apartment & a lil car. I want to move before I get any bigger, it's been a month since my last appointment & they're gonna tell me what I'm having I'm starting to show , like kinda a lot without my hoodie you can see it clear as day.
"Chy." My nurse said.
I call my nurse often so we kinda have a bond. Sometimes I get scared & need help so I call her.
"Yes?" I said.
"Do you see this." She said as she clicked on the ultrasound screen.
"Noooo , what is it," I said as I squinted my eyes.
"It's a girl you got your girl! " she said.
I was really more than excited now.& plus I'm due a day after my Birthday.
All week I've been working over time & doing extra homework. I'm going to be a single parent so I gotta do what I gotta do. Sometimes Fredo tries to talk to me or text me but I ignore him.
Khy.
I was in the kitchen scoping the fridge when Chy came down the stairs.
"Guess what?" She said.
"What?" I said.
"I'm moving into my own place." She said.
"What , noooooo." I said in my baby voice.
"Yes I have to." She chuckled
"No you don't." I whined as I picked up my phone.
"Who you calling." She giggled.
"Sosa." I whined
"Baby." I said into the phone.
"Cheyenne trynna run away." I whined.
"I'm on my way." He chuckled.
10 minutes later Keith walked in.
"Now what's this I'm hearing Chy." He chuckled.
"I'm moving into my own place." She giggled.
"You don't like it here." Sosa chuckled
"yes I love it but I'm grown I need my own it's not that far from here." She said.
And As soon as we knew it the day came & I watched my cousin pack up & put boxes into the u-haul. Me & Keith helped her. We even let her keep her bed room set & gave her 2,000 on furniture. I spent a night with her the first night but in the morning I woke up & prepared myself to leave I never toured her apartment so I decided to get up & walk around.
"I didn't know this was a two bedroom." I said as I twisted my face up.
I turned around & was more than surprised to see my cousin walking up to me with a perfectly round belly. Handing me an envelope.
"Don't tell Sosa." She said as she yawned & whipped her eyes
My jaw dropped.
The envelope held a pretty pink & furry invitation to a baby shower.
"But Chy I thought you were-" I started to say
"Yeah I know but when I heard my baby heart beat & seen her move. I couldn't do it. & it's my baby girl , my other twin , I'm due a day after our birthday Khy." She said.
"You don't understand how much I love her. Idc about Fredo the bitches can have him. I got my daughter , & we go love each other unconditionally." She added
"The only reason why I moved is so Me & my daughter could live in peace & working double shifts just so I can stack up , by time I graduate imma be ready to become a dental assistant. I've been keeping calm & not letting my anger get the best of me just for her. I want to be the best mommy to this baby." She continued as she started to tear up.
She grabbed my hand & put it towards her stomach. & I felt the baby kick a few times. Which made me tear up.
"I can't believe this but I'm with you 100%. I'm not go tell him nothing I pinky promise." I said.
All week & day I shop for this lil girl I go drive Chy far out to nail shops so we don't run into Fredo or Sosa. For the baby shower I'm gonna use some of Sosa money to fly some of the family & close friends out for Chy baby shower. As we sat down & got our nails done we talked.
"So what you wanna name her?" I said.
"Hmm I don't know. Lola or Penelope." She said.
"I looked at her crazy , what about Miley or Zoey." I suggested.
"Those are cute but idk." She said.
It's been a few months & it's the day of the baby shower. I got up & got dressed like a regular morning. I was dumping out my purse when Sosa walked in & plopped on the bed. I tried to hurry up & grab the invitation when he picked it up .
"What's this?" He said as he scanned it.
"Umm, nothing." I said.
I followed his eyes as he silently read the invitation.
"It's old when we first found out she was pregnant we thought it would be funny to do some baby shower invite examples." I faked giggled.
"Nigga do you think I'm dumb?" He said.
"No." I said as I snatch the invitation & rushed out the door.
Chy
I was more than happy with how my lil baby shower was turning out. I had it at my apartment it was about 25 people all getting along & joking , I had started opening up gifts when I got a knock at my door.
"Who Tf?" I said as I grabbed my glock.
My cousin Amber opened the door & surprise its Sosa , Fredo & GBE boys , they all had gifts in their hands even Fredo , but knowing Fredo his gift was prolly a gun. They all walked in slow Fredo looked around like he was lost he didn't smile no nothing.
"You wasn't gone tell nobody? I thought we was cousins." Sosa chuckled.
"Because idk maybe later I just didn't feel like dealing with extra stress." I said as he handed me his gift.
"Thank you tho." I said as I grabbed the gift box.
I sat the box down but kept my eye on Fredo as i opened my gifts. I gave Khy the death glare to let her know "bitch thats yo ass."
Fredo sat down & looked at me under eyed the whole time making me soo uncomfortable I started rushing through the gifts cause I wanted him out. My baby was kicking the shit out of me , I was nervous as hell. Fredo never put his gift down & his was the biggest. He kept it next to him. When I was done with opening all the gifts I turned on some music & put out more food & hurried off to my room to calm down, I sat on my bed for a minute & thought to myself like fuck I wish I was done with school.
As I was sitting there. I seen my door open up slowly & I already knew I was a dead woman. It was Fredo with this fucking bag. I stood up & walked towards my nightstand. Where I keep my 22'.,
"Wassup?" He said as he walked towards my bed & sat down.
"Wassup Fredo?" I said back..
"Ain't seen you in a while, what happened?" He said.
"Nothing , at all." I said.
"Yeah I see nothing at all , I'm looking at it." He said.
"Look , I'm already stressed & I don't want to stress my baby. So-"
"Soo what ? That's still my kid too , at the end of the day, you foul. If you wasn't gonna go threw with it that's all you had to say & I would of understood that." He said.
"No I was gonna do it , but hearing her heart beat & seeing her move on the ultrasound, I couldn't , like she's a human she has feelings too." I said as tears crept my face but I hurried & whipped them.
"I didn't know how you was gone react knowing that I didn't do it & you have all these girls & stuff I didn't wanna fuck it up or get in your way , So I rather just kept it a secret & raise her on my own." I added.
"Idgaf about no bitches when it comes down to my family , yeah I got bitches but you was tripping off yo cousin , you told me to keep it a secret." He Chuckled as he stood up & gave me a hug.
"Don't ever do no dumb shit like that again." He chuckled as he passed me the bag.
I opened the bag to see clothes , shoes , lotions , pacifiers , bottles , everything . I was more than happy I grew so emotional & started to cry tears of joy. I gave him the biggest hug.
2 weeks later he threw me another baby shower in a hall. All his family & friends came it was beyond packed. My baby had so many gifts. Opening them was tiring. Towards the end Fredo came up to me with a lil gold rectangular box. I opened it soo fast & held it up, it was a phat Cuban link chain for my baby that had a name plate on it that said "Delilah", I read it & looked at him.
"Delilah?" I chuckled.
"Yeah Derrick & Delilah. You can do the middle name but that first & last is all me." He chuckled.
I was cool with it , he was her dad or whatever. As I stood up to dance pasha & her group of friends walked in. I watched pasha as she flicked my purple balloons. Before she could reach me Fredo walked up to her.
"A fucking baby!?" She yelled.
"I had to find out on social fucking networks!! Why you didn't just tell me that last night while you was fucking me telling me you care about me !" She screamed.
I wasnt tripping cause me & bro not together we just parenting. & I understood her anger, but bitch don't flick my balloons.,
"Chy bitch we coo why I ain't get no invite?" She said to me.
But before I could speak Khy did.
"Look bitch , it ain't the time nor the place ! Keep yo emotions bottled up for another day."
After that everyone started arguing. Fredo snatched pasha up by her weave & took her outside. But while loading up the uhaul with my baby stuff. Another truck full of bitches pulled up.
"FREDO!" One bitch screamed.
When she walked up she looked me up & down & said.
"That's prolly not even his baby."
"Bitch you just mad that he ain't give you the baby." I chuckled.
One of the bitch friends got in my face & Khy got in hers & sooner than later we was surrounded by bitches. Until I heard shots fired & two bitches dropped. Bitches was screaming , Fredo ass done shot some bitches.
"Fredo furreal ? My friends tho."the girl cried as she tried to be there for her friends. She had more friends with her trynna drag the other 2 to the truck.
"Idgaf don't surround my baby momma bitch is you crazy." He said as he snatched her up by her hair.
"Bitch get on." He said.
"imma call you later." He added.
"& I'm Finna take you home I'll bring the gifts later." He said to me.
When I got home I started on my baby room putting up stuff. Her crib & stuff was already put up it was just the clothes. As I moved around I felt the sharpest pains so I called Khy over. She rubbed my stomach & helped me with the clothes but they kept coming back.
"maybe you should start packing your hospital bag while I do the rest." Khy giggled.
"Shut up bitch I'm not due until 2 more weeks." I chuckled.
By time Fredo pulled up with the rest of the stuff I was balled up in my bed having the worst pains. When he knocked on the door I got up to answer it but as soon as I opened the door my water broke.
"My nigga is you pissing on yoself." Fredo chuckled.
"Nooooooo no no I think that was my water." I felt the contractions hit me hard & my mucus plug fell out.
"Definitely my water. KHY GRAB THE BAG!"
We all rushed to the hospital, I couldn't believe I was about to be a mom.
