With the milkshakes and a very long, but also funny and entertaining conversation dealt with for now, Y/N was accompanying Tegan home. He felt like it was the least he could do and Tegan appreciated it as well. Obviously the others would have a lot of questions and might tease her about the date, but she didn't care for that right now. They had a great time and got to know each other better and that was the important part. And with Tegan's return coming closer as well, things were definitly looking very bright for the coming future.
Y/N:" I still can't believe you and Candice had a bit of a cooking show. What happened to that?"
Tegan:" It was a fun experiment and I learned a lot. Unfortunately there were no further plans to keep it going. It's a shame."
Y/N:" Yeah. I would love to know how well you can cook."
Tegan:" I've gotten better thanks to Candice. Otherwise I'd still suck haha."
Sharing a soft laugh with each other, it was clear now that this date wouldn't just be a one time thing. Y/N really enjoyed Tegan's company and vice versa, even if they had to give some props to Dakota who talked to both of them for confidence. It was different from what they thought would be going on, but ever since meeting each other at rehab, things have developed in a very nice direction. It was only a matter of time until the next step would be taken.
Y/N:" You're really something, Tegan. I never met someone with such humor and enthusiasm."
Tegan:" You're in for a fun ride then, Y/N. This train isn't stopping any time soon."
Y/N:" Then I might as well enjoy the ride."
Tegan:" Cheeky plonker, you. But I really had a great time with you today. Thank you so much for inviting me out."
Y/N:" I do what I can. It's no problem at all, Tegan. I really had a lot of fun too."
Tegan:" Any idea where we go next time?"
Y/N:" There's a next time?"
Tegan:" Of course, silly. I'm not letting you off the hook that easily."
Y/N chuckled to himself and thought about what to do for the next date. Tegan was so different, so special in her own way and he liked that about her. She had this fun and goofy side to her, but also had a serious side when it came to business.
Looking over to her, Y/N knew exactly what he had to do and how to put things together to keep this lady excited. For one, he knew that she loved Marvel, so there was something he might include. Tegan looked at him, trying to figure out what Y/N was thinking about. She had a feeling he would come up with something really special.
Tegan:" Something on your mind?"
Y/N:" When isn't?"
Tegan:" Okay, let me rephrase that. Something for our next date on your mind?"
Y/N:" If you ask like that, yes. But I won't spoil the surprise."
Tegan:" Of course not hahaha. You're adorable."
Y/N:" I'm just myself, but thank you."
Both of them now smiled as they soon arrived at Tegan's home. They stood underneath a street light, facing each other as they hugged.
Tegan:" Once again, thank you for everything today. I really appreciate it."
Y/N:" You're more than welcome, Tegan. Just text me any time you need to be around someone else."
Tegan:" Haha the others aren't so bad, but I can't be around them forever. Oh, before I forget."
This caught Y/N by surprise right now as Tegan kissed his cheek so close to his lips. Apparently she did think there was definitly more than just a spark between them and by the looks of things, Y/N wasn't resisting it either. He was blushing though when Tegan pulled back and waved him goodbye as she went to the front door. The young man could only wave back and wish a good night to the Shiniest Wizard.

The following morning saw everyone in the house sitting at the kitchen table to have breakfast together. Well, everyone except Tegan who needed another moment to realize that the previous night was actually real. Never before did she have someone make her feel so special, yet here was Y/N. He really did a number on her so to speak and when she left her room to get some grub too, she was immediatly embraced by Candice.
Candice:" I'm glad you're here in one piece, Tegan."
Tegan:" You worried about me that much?"
Johnny:" Yeah, because we didn't know Y/N's true intensions with you...Kidding! No need to stare daggers at me."
Candice:" You have a weird way to show your concern, Johnny...but yes, we were a little worried."
Tegan:" Hey, I'm here and unharmed, guys. Y/N was a great partner during the date."
Dakota:" So much that it was worth kissing his cheek, right?"
Tegan:" You saw that?!"
Dakota:" Weeell, I might have looked out of my window when that happened haha...You really got a thing for him."
Candice:" Oooh this is exciting. Looks like Tegan did find her fit."
Tegan:" Oh stop it, you two. Yes, I like Y/N a lot, but we're not together or anything."
Johnny:" Do you want that though?"
That was a tough question now. Johnny had a point because it seemed like Tegan wanted more, but didn't want to rush into anything either. However, she felt comfortable around Y/N, he could make her laugh, he was supportive in every way. There was more to him that people realized and Tegan wanted to get to know him as best as possible.
Tegan:" Probably, yes."
And that shook Johnny because he personally still wasn't sure about Y/N, eventhough the ladies tried to convince him that he wasn't so bad. Maybe he just needed more time to see who Y/N really was, but for now the group of friends enjoyed a good meal together to start the day.
