Jungkook opened his eyes slowly despite the horrible pain feeling like a hammer smashed his head
It's probably another day of torturing in the dark small prison cell ..
This pain will never stop ..
For how long should he suffer ..
That's what he was expecting but what his blurry eyes witnessed once he opened them were completely shocking
It's a white clean room and he is laying on comfortable bed and who is that resting his head on his lap ?
At this moment Jimin felt an unusual movement so he lifted his head looking at Jungkook who finally opened his eyes
" Oh my god ! You are awake ! " Jimin jumped from out of the chair from excitement smiling fondly feeling his heart flutter bouncing fast
" I'm dead ?! I'm definitely dead ! But even if i was dead .. Howcome you are here ?! Is it possible that both of us died at the same time ?! What about Minjun ?! "
Jungkook kept blabbing .. he feels happy that he is in heaven now and reunited with his husband but his mind was still not processing what's going on ...
" Jungkook calm down * Jimin placed his hand on his cheek * we are alive ! No one died " he knows after all what his husband went thro so he must be panicking
" Are you real ? * Jungkook moved his hand slowly despite the pain he feels to touch Jimin * i can feel you ! did you come back !! * he get frightened * why did you come back here again !! It's.... "
" Baby just calm down .. We are in the south .. You are the one who came not the opposite "
Jungkook blinks his eyes looking around " But ... I was sleeping there .. How did i wake up here ?! "
Jimin sigh sitting on the chair beside the bed again explaining what happened last few hours although he doesn't know the details and how they came here but he told him the part that he knows .
By the end of Jimin's talk Jungkook start to get back to his sense and the reality hit him making him shed tears
" It's okay * Jimin whip his tears with his thumb * everything is gonna be fine "
" I'm sorry .. I'm so sorry for everything "
" Jungkook .. I don't want you to apologize for anything .. seeing you here .. Feels like all my wishes became true .. I don't want anything from this life more than you and Minjun .. We can start over again right ? "
Jungkook grab Jimin's hand placing soft kiss on his palm
" Please don't leave me again "
" I won't dare to do something like that " Jimin smiles softly feeling so grateful for this miracle of bonding again with the love of his life
A knock on the door made Jimin realize that this journey didn't end yet , still there's a lot of complicated process to make for Jungkook to stay here ,add to the fact that he is already wanted in this land .
Hoseok opened the door giving his brother a look that he needs to talk with him and Jimin instantly understand
" How things are going ? " Jimin asked as soon as they stepped outside the room closing the door behind
" You know very well what's going to be the next step "
" No ! forget about it ! That's not gonna happen " Jimin glare at his older brother knowing what he meant exactly
" You know the law ! I can't change it "
" You can ! You definitely can ! You have the power to do it .. your position can make you do even more !! ... You are not gonna abandon me right ! "
Hoseok turns his head away avoiding looking at his younger brother's eyes .. He knows once Jimin ask him a favor he would never turn him down but at the same time he has to do his duty of protecting his land
" Come on ! I'm your brother you have to help me ... No you have to help us ! For the sake of Minjun please ! You are not gonna let them arrest him .. Please don't I'm begging you "
Hoseok couldn't let his brother plead more he can't handle to see something break him down , he really hates Jungkook for what he did but it's not about Jungkook anymore , it's about his brother's family .
" Fine * he sigh heavily not knowing how did he accept this * but he needs to go through a formal investigation first and i will handle the rest "
Jimin stiff for a while after hearing the last sentence his brother said
" Don't worry * Hoseok pat his shoulder * i promise you that i will protect him "
He pulled his little brother into a warm hug reassuring him before leaving
Right now he has to focus on his brother's problem and put all his attention on it but he doesn't know why the guy from earlier keep coming to his mind maybe because his sense telling him that something is wrong
' What was his name ? Yoongi ? Yes that's it .. He looks frightened .. Like if he is in need for help !! So weird how he kept hiding behind the other guy even tho it looked like he doesn't even like him .. Why should i even care ? It's better to focus on Jungkook's issue for now'
At night Hoseok went back to the hospital after settling down what he is going to do
" Can't you see his condition ?! They can wait for sometime at least ! "
" Jimin you trust me right ? The investigation being held here in the hospital room and with his bad condition is a perfect opportunity for them to sympathy with him .. Please let me do my job .. I know better "
" I think he is right " Jungkook stepped in still laying on bed having hard time to move but now he can rest his back on the bedboard
" Now let me tell you what you need exactly to say " Hoseok sit on the chair next to the bed explaining some instructions for him until the investigators finally arrived and Jimin stepped out
They kept questioning Jungkook and he was answering according to what Hoseok just told him
" How can we make sure that he won't try to do anything harmful against our people in the future ? " one of them gave a dry look to Hoseok
" As i said it wasn't his fault in the first place he was brainwashed since he was young he thought he was doing the right thing but then upon knowing the truth and trying to protest he ended up being jailed and tortured * He handed them a file as he was prepared * here's the medical report that we got from the hospital .. As you can see he wouldn't want to go through all that if he was still having the same old mindset ..but he changed and that's why he willingly came back here asking for another chance and ready to pledge his allegiance to our land "
The investigators gave each other a knowing look before they got up
" Hoseok-shi you know we can't give a finally judgment now but he will be on probation .. Not less than a year at least .. So during that time he is not allowed to travel to any other country as we call it compulsory residence "
" Thank you sir i appreciate your effort " Hoseok smile formally knowing that's a good sign
They took Jungkook's medical report and left the room
" I don't know how to thank you .. Im so embarrassed and ashamed from what i did .. I did a lot of bad things and yet you still here helping me " Jungkook show real regret in his eyes looking at his husband's brother who was already giving him a dry look
" I'm doing that for my brother and my nephew .. Don't think i will forgive you for what you did so easily .. I will always keep my eyes on you till i feel that i can trust you again "
And by that Hoseok left the room comforting his brother who was nervously standing outside
Now since everything started to get better .. Hoseok has a good plan to get rid of Taehyung and take his revenge for what he did to his brother .
