"I know right! Anyways, how'd the recital go!" Fleur smiled "She did great! Have you not seen the videos?" "No, not yet sorry. I was filming something until five and i recorded stuff right after" She rambled quickly "But I'll watch all of them when I get home"Fleur added "Good! I told her I was going to send them to you and she looked all nervous" Scarlett laughed "What! Why?! I knew she'd be great" "She's still a big fan of you y'know" "Ah right" Fleur nodded
"New song?" "Hmm just rerecording some things I wanted to change.. Have you eaten?" "Not yet" Fleur shook her head "You should eat! It's getting late" "It's eight pm? But thank you, I'll eat after" "Yeah but dinner is like seven to eight pm" "Have you eaten?" "I ate an energy bar an hour ago" Fleur shrugged "You need to eat too!" "Alright! How bout we both eat okay? Call me back once you've eaten" "Alright.. When can I see you again?" "Im not sure but do you wanna come over to a small listening slash release party on Friday?"
"I'd love to come! Just text me the details!" "Alright! Eat, see you love you bye!" Fleur smiled widely saying the last two words and Scarlett sent a flying kiss making her laugh and lowering the camera "Love you bye!"

I shut my phone off and took my clothes off, groaning at the red stain. I washed it till it was gone and stood under the warm water. Cramps weren't normal for me to have at that time of the month but here we are, clutching my stomach in the shower in pain.
I probably was under there for a good 30 minutes before I got out and put on my red pjs. I dried my hair, cleaned my face, and moisturized before walking out of the bathroom. I turned to my right to the tiny studio I had but I heard someone clear their throat and quickly turned to see Scarly with a bunch of things.
"Hi!" I said quietly "You said you had cramps so.. heat pad..painkillers.. ice cream.. and your mac and cheese and fries" she held them up one by one
I attacked her with a big hug "Are you okay darling?" She rubbed my back "no one has ever done this for me" I mumbled, looking at her and weenie walked over to us.
"Well now I'm here.. okay? Lets eat and hello weenie!" she held up one of the plastic bags up and rubbed wennie. I sat on the bed and we both ate the mac and cheese together "If you're here.. who's with Rose?" "We have a nanny, Colin is working" "having a job at snl is so hard" I mumbled
"Do you wanna watch friends?" I reached over to the remove beside me and turned the tv on "Do you want to?" She said after a moment "Well of course but if you don't want to we can watch anything else" I looked at her "We can watch Friends" she smiled at me and I grinned, turning it on to Season 2 episode 1.
She probably didn't want to watch it.
I looked up at my food and saw she was taking a photo of me. "Hey!! Noo! I look bad" I covered my face "What a liar" She laughed, shifting to lay her head on me. "Want?" I held a fork of mac and cheese up and she ate it. "You love life's doaaa" i sang quietly, shaking me shoulders a bit to the beat.
Once we finished the food I set them at the sink so I'd wash them tomorrow.
"You have so much stuffed toys" she laughed moving them to my side "Well they all have a story!" I snuggled into them and she stood over me taking a photo.
"Come hereee" I held my hands out and I laid on her chest "I have to leave in an hour okay?" "Mhm" i mumbled "darling?" I mumbled, lowering the tv volume "yes?" She answered quietly
"i made you something and i'd get it but i really don't want to move" she chuckled"do you want me to get it?" she looked at me "maybe" she stood up and i frowned at her warmth being gone again.
"its in the bottom drawer in the studio" i watched as she came back admiring the paper flowers i had made. "they're not perfect but.. i thought it would be better than getting you actual flowers. it was a late congratulations on the movie"i looked at her and she pouted at me
"i love it" she smiled and sat down beside me, looking at each flower. "im glad" i looked at her and she looked back at my lips. "i really don't wanna wait 2 weeks" she mumbled "me either.. but i've waited a while for this, 2 weeks will be over before you know it" i slung my leg and arm around her "god i hope so" she set the flowers down and hugged me back.
SCARLETT
I lost track of time when I heard Fleurys breathing even out and I turned to see her sleeping. I kissed her forehead and slid a pillow under her leg. I leaned over her and grabbed the remote, turning the TV off.
I looked for some paper and wrote a note. "shh weenie" i said as weenie started to walk around me. I folded the paper and wrote darling <3 in front of it. I set it down beside her "good night my love" I grabbed the flowers and kissed her forehead again before leaving.
When I got home I shut the door quietly. The time read twelve am.
"Where've you been?" I got startled and looked up to see Colin stirring some drink. "At Fleurys"I took my shoes off, set my purse and flowers down on the table before grabbing some water. "She made these?" He smiled holding up the flowers "Mhm" I sipped, leaning my back against the kitchen island, looking at him.
"Thats nice" he set them back down and leaned against the wood frame "How was work?" I asked after a moment "It was fine.. Oh! The documents came in today" he took a papers stapled together from the dining table and I looked over them, flipping mindlessly.
"I'll do them in the morning, I'm sleepy" I set my glass down in the sink "Alright" he smiled "Night!" I grabbed the flowers before walking up the stairs and heard him say night back.
I got changed and laid down on the bed. I told Colin I'd sleep in the guest room since I didn't want Fleury to think it was weird we still slept beside each other. Colin insisted I take the bedroom and he'd be alright in the guest room. He used the TV as an excuse saying he gets to watch more now since we don't have a TV in the main bedroom. I hesitated but eventually agreed.
Not that Fleury ever said anything about this.
I don't think she even knows.I was just
thinking if I was in her position maybe I'd
be uncomfortable about that. But then again it's
Fleury.
The same girl who makes sure to
text me good night and if I got home safe
everyday, who flew to New York just because
my daughter had broken her bone, who puts herself
before others, and who won't even let me kiss
her until this divorce is final. I could only wish to
all the stars that she's the one I'll grow old with, if
not? I'd take my wish she finds someone worthy of her.
I shook my thoughts out and grabbed the flowers, setting them by the photos we had with Rose from the amusement park. I went on my phone and subconsciously smiled when I saw a notification from Fleury a few minutes ago.

"Hello!!" Fleury greeted me with a big hug as I pulled up to a wooden house of some sort. "Hi" I smiled kissing her cheek. She looked down for a second before licking her lips and smiling at me. Hm.. What was that about?
"Your car isn't here?" I looked at the 3 parked cars, to which none of them were hers. "Sarah picked me up.. I don't like driving in cloudy kind of rain"
I kept a mental note about that.
"Let's go in?" She held my hand, leading me to the place and I looked down on it. Would she tell them?
She seemed to have noticed me looking at it because she looked down as well, a second of pain flashed her eyes. She let go of my hand. I didn't expect my heart to clench the second her touch left me.
"If you're wondering, we're only 8 today.. well in total. Sarah is inside and I'll introduce you to the others" she smiled opening the door for me. I thanked her quietly before stepping in.
There was light classical music playing, instruments and recording gear filled up the room aside from the many chairs and white fluffy looking couch.
There was Sarah who looked up and smiled at us, a man with a beanie, and two other women. "Guysss!!" Fleury spoke and everyone turned to her, glancing at me and when I saw the realization on their faces, I kind of wanted to laugh.
"This is Scarly- You can call her Scarlett! Scarly, you've met Sarah.." She directs her hand at Sarah who was by the recording things in front of a glass with a microphone. "This is Aaron, he's the reason my music is what it is.." "and he works with taylor" she whispered to me and quietly squealed making Aaron laugh.
"Arianna is that talented queen.. and Katie who is my producer" Everyone waved to me and I smiled.
please don't let this be awkward.
After a while, everyone seemed to be falling into little
conversations of their own. "So you're the friend Fleur
brought today" Aaron says behind me. I turn around and
smiled at him. Fleury excused herself and was off talking to Sarah about some magazine shoot she has to do.
"You make it sound like she
brings someone here a lot, but yes" I laughed, maybe
with a little venom lacing through my words.
"Oh no! She doesn't bring anyone here, you're
a first" He reassures me and I let out a shaky breath
I didn't realize I was holding.
Wait.. that's cute.
"I enjoyed listening to Coney Island" I said after the silence "You're a Taylor Swift fan?" He smiled
"I've listened to her music but only because Fleury told me to listen to them, so I did" I shrugged it off and he narrowed his eyes on me.
"Hm.. Well thank you" He looked at me again, eyes not narrowed. "J!!!" I turned to see Fleury run into a woman's arms. I frowned, again, subconsciously.
"She's been a singing mentor to Fleur since she came to New York. It's been a long time since they saw each other, don't worry about them" He nudged me a little and I smiled gratefully for the information.
"Scarly! Meet Julia" she smiled and I walked over to them "Hello!" Julia smiled widely at me and hugged me. "Is Aiden not with you?" Fleury asked "No! He's watching the kids" Kids. She's married... not that I was nervous about anything.
"Well I guess we're 7 today! Im going to get a drink, you want- oh you're driving never mind " Fleury looked over to me and immediately shook her head, walking to get herself a drink. I turned to see her pull out some painkillers and take one.
Cramps must be killing her. If they were, she did an exceptional job in hiding it.
I excused myself "how are ya" I nudged her gently "I'm great" she turned to me and I hardened my face. Please don't feel the need to lie to me.
"Just some pain here and there, it's alright" she placed her hand on top of mine but quickly lifted it. Hold my hand.
"What do you guys say we make a cool project thing? We have an hour to kill till release and then go home" she said as everyone was circled around the couch. "What project?" Katie asked "Ion know like.. hmmm.. oh! First one to down the apple juice starts a harmony and we all add to it" Everyone looked at each other "Come on! It'll be just for us" The second Fleury said that, we all agreed somehow.
Fleury handed everyone a kids apple juice "Oh come on, don't give me that judgy look! You guys are driving, I'm not sending you guys out drunk" she said obviously "I'm not driving" Aaron shrugged and Fleury handed him a glass of red wine.
Aaron finished first, Fleur, Katie, Me, Julia, Arianna, and Sarah finished last, I dont think she even tried to rush.
I dont remember keeping track of what happened. All I could clearly remember was seeing Fleury in the recording room and making up lyrics as she went, I don't think I've ever seen someone do that where it actually ended up as a masterpiece. I did backing vocals or really just a low echo behind Fleury.
Fleurys' song released and we had some karaoke before going home. Sarah apologized to her since she had to go home quickly, something about her children. Fleury told her not to worry and she'd take an uber.
"I can drive you home" I offered Fleury but she shook her head immediately and I frowned. "You should go home, it's late" she laughed and took a deep breath.
"I don't mind.. you know that" i said with my most persuading eyes. She looked at me for a second before nodding with a smile "You win, as always" she got into the passenger seat.
"Can I turn the radio on?" She asked and I nodded and she turned it on. I tried to drive as slow as I could without getting pulled up, I didn't want the night to end.
She gasped when the radio announced her new song would play. She sat up in her seat and turned it up a little.
"Freshly released 20 minutes ago, Fleur Scotts' Block Me Out!" She let out a small squeal and I chuckled quietly, taking my eyes off the road to see her sink into the seat.
"You know this is the first time I've ever heard my song on the radio.. like people send me recordings but I've never experienced it myself" She stared at the car screen and I smiled softly.
"You deserve it" I grabbed her hand gently and she looked at me before turning to the window. I looked at the rear mirror when I saw the flashing red and blue lights. Fleury turned around from her seat and sat back down looking at me with an evil smile.
We pulled up and a cop came out of the car, knocking on my window. I heard Fleury giggle quietly but shut up when I lowered the window
"Maam do you know how fast you were driving?" She asked and I shook my head "I-uh I couldn't have gone that fast" I laughed turning to her, batting my eyelashes. She seemed to realize who I was and backed down a little "You were driving thirteen miles per hour " Fleury let out a laugh but leaned over, putting her hand on my thigh as she tried to steady herself. My breath hitched as her face was inches away from mine as she leaned to the window.
"Hey officer.."'she said in a seductive tone and I saw the officer shift a little "My- My friend here, we were too caught up in a talk so we didn't want to rush! We promise to drive in a good speed alright? Just let this slide please"
".. You both promise to keep your eye on the road and drive responsibility?" "We promise" She smiled and the officer nodded, walking away. As I rolled the windows up Fleury laughed, making my heart flutter. She shift back onto her seat and holding my hand, still.
"Something tells me you've done that for yourself" I said, glancing at Fleury. "No" she chuckled lightly. "So how many tickets have you gotten" I looked back to the road "No tickets" I quickly looked at her again, the road was empty anyways.
"What?" I asked in disbelief "I mean I've done it for a friend, other than you, but I've never gotten pulled over or a ticket" She shrugged and I turned back to the road.
"That's- Jeez" I laughed and we stayed in a comfortable silence, fingers still intertwined.
"I'm sorry" i blurted out "About what?" She frowned "The hand thing.. I- I didn't know what to do" I shrugged "You don't need to apologize, It's okay" she squeezed my hand "It's not okay" I said quietly and I saw from my peripheral view how she turned her body to me.
"It's alright. You're walking into a room with your..I want to say more than friends' close friends, you aren't sure where it stands if you hold her hand. That's okay" she shrugged and turned back to her seat.
"Of course you're more than a friend" I glanced at her. She was looking out at the buildings with a big goofy smile on her face. "Thanks for waiting for me" I said quietly "I would wait for you even if its the last thing I do" She squeezed my hand again. I think it's a thing she does when she reassures people, it's cute.
"Do you like the sun or the moon?" She asked me "Umm both. Corny answer but without the sun, you wouldn't be able to appreciate the moon, and vice versa. What about you?" She hummed "The sun hurts my eyes but I like the term 'you're my sunshine'." She shrugged "I like the trees and the stars" "Ohh stars! I love stars! I always see blinking stars when I look out the window" "Do you make a wish?" "Duh!" I laughed at her before pulling up to her apartment.
She looked out to the lobby and sighed, turning back to me. "Well this is me" she said but didn't really move much. "this is you" i repeated, looking at her. She bit the end of her lip and unbuckled her seat belt.
"Thanks for coming tonight" she fiddled with her fingers "Congrats on the album!" I unbuckled my seatbelt and reached over to hug her. "This is giving Peter and Tony" she said quietly "What??" I laughed "You haven't watched the spiderman movie?!" She gasped "No" I smiled "I-Alright" she shook her head and brought our intertwined hands up and kissed my hand. I felt my face heat up as she let go and stood up "Bye darling!" "Bye love" I smiled as she shut the door and I waited till she made it inside.

"How was it honey?" I asked Rose after I picked her up from her playdate. "It was so fun! Even if Emily and Jessie fought a little" "Why did they fight?" I looked at her through the rear mirror "Something about liking something first" She shrugged clicking her seatbelt in
"Oh! We also listened to Fleurys' music!! It was so cool! I also showed them the cast she signed and they were so impressed. I miss Fleury" she sighed looking out the window. "Do you want to visit her?" I saw her smile widely, showing her teeth.. and a gap since she lost her bottom front tooth.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" I smiled and made a turn, going to her building.
"Hey Phil!" I greeted him as I held Roses' hand through the lobby. "Hello Scarlett! And hello to youu" He looked down to Rose who smiled shyly "This is my daughter Rose. Did Fleury leave? I would've texted her but my phone died" "She hasn't left since last night though she had some food delivery" "Thanks!" Me and Rose walked into the elevator.
"Do you think Fleury would want to hear about my day?" Rose looked up to me "Of course she would sweetie!" I knocked on the door and heard a groan "PHIL?" "Scarlett" "Do you have tape with you?" I heard and I laughed putting the tape with her fingerprint on the lock and it opened. When it opened, we saw Fleury laying down on the kitchen floor with Weenie sitting on top of her. "Scarly?" She asked without lifting her head.
"Fleury!!!" Rose ran over and kneeled to the floor and Fleury sat up a little , not before cringing. "Rosie!!! What are you doing here silly!" Rose brought her in for a hug and I saw Fleury bite her lip harshly.
"Rosie how bout we be careful with Fleury for a second" I laughed, sitting beside them, on the floor. "Why? Are you hurt?" Rose looked at Fleurys stomach.
"Cramps sweetie" she laughed "What are those??" Fleury looked at me "my stomach just hurts, but im okay.. especially now that you two are here!" "Mama said you'd want to hear about my day!!"
"Of course I would! Why dont we move to the mattress hm?" Rose immediately shot up and ran to the mattress with Weenie and I helped Fleury up.
"You're suffering arent you" "So bad" She groaned and I laughed "What happened??" "I tried to cook food but I failed miserably to even make it to the kitchen. I got lazy" "You ate already right?" "Uhh yeah a little" "Fleury!" I helped Fleury sit a little better by putting pillows behind her
"Yes sweetie?" She smiled at Rose before putting hand on top of mine and saying a thank you. "Can-Can I hug you?" "Of course, you don't need to ask" Rose smiled and gently rested her hand around Fleury. "Schoochh" I walked around and sat beside Rose
"Can I tell you about my day now?" Rose asked Fleury "Mhm" I looked at them as Rose rambled about every detail of today and Fleury narrowed her eyes as she listened attentively to everything. "Well good for you for staying out of drama! It was never my thing in my school either" She shrugged "Did you have good grades?" Fleury licked her lips for a second and nodded "I was valedictorian" I looked at Fleury, shocked "You're smart?!?" "Ouch" she laughed
"Valeve-what?" Rose asked "Valedictorian is the top of the batch honey. Like you're in 2nd grade right? You are the best in everyone in 2nd grade but its usually for higher grades" I answered and Rose had her mouth open "Woah" Fleury giggled "Yes, what your mama said" "How!!" Fleury shrugged "I studied a lot.. I listened in class and I had this friend in the higher grade so sometimes she'd give me her notes" "Mama I want to be valevintorian!" "Valedictorian honey" I laughed "Va-va.. I cant do it" Rose huffed
"Repeat after me Rose, Va.." Fleury started off "Va.." "Le" "Le" "Dict" "Dict" "orian" "orian" "Valedictorian" "Valedictorian!" "High five!" "Rose lifted her hand and high fived Fleury. I smiled at the interaction and watched as the sun slowly set behind them. "Did you guys eat already?" "I had donuts and ice cream for lunch!" I quirked my head. What kind of mother feeds that to children for an actual meal?!
"What about you Scarly?" "I ate breakfast" I shrugged but immediately stood up when Fleury started to sit up "Hey! What are you doing?!" "Cooking for you two, silly" she stood up and closed her eyes for a second before walking to the kitchen, rather her legs dragged her body.
"You don't have to, we can order in or something!" How hardheaded could she be. "Sit" she glared at me and I stood beside her incase she needed help.
"Rose do you want anything specific?" "Hmm.. Spaghetti!!!" She exclaimed and Fleury opened the refrigerator, setting out some ingredients.
"Need help?" "Nope, just relax!! I'll be fine! Watch TV with Rose or something" she smiled "Can we watch Avengers?" Rose asked "Oh yes!" Fleury exclaimed "The two of you hm?" Fleury shrugged
"Rose, Sweetie, the remote is beside you" the TV was turned on and I saw Rose go over to Netflix and turn on Avengers and I shook my head. With these two ganging up on me, there was no escape.
"And served" Fleury set down two plates and I looked at her with a tilted head "I'm not hungry.. and if I was, left over is in the fridge" she laughed sitting on the seat beside the wall and she leaned her head back on it. "You okay? You need anything?" "Um.. could you actually get my painkillers? They're by the bed" I nodded and stood up as Rose ran to the food "Rose, no running" I warned and she gave me a sorry before a smile at Fleury who winked at her.
"So good!!" Rose exclaimed as she dug into the spaghetti. "Here you go" I handed her the pack and a glass of water before I sat beside her. "Thank you" she smiled and took it. "Im not even shocked at how good this is anymore" I laughed and she shook her head jokingly and watched as I came on the screen, meeting Bruce.
"Natasha Romanoff" she mumbled "I'm here on
behalf of SHIELD" she mumbled again "Jesus! How many times have you watched this?!" I laughed at her "Not enough times. I only know Natasha and Loki' lines" she shrugged "Black Widow is my favorite superhero!" Rose pipes, I turn to see her with a lot of red sauce all over her face and I hear Fleury laugh.
"Here" Fleury reached over and slid over tissue. "Fleury?" Rose asked and Fleury looked at her "Yes?" "Can we watch another movie? I want something I haven't seen" Rose puts her utensils together after she finishes. "Sure, you know where the remote is" Fleury smiled and Rose got under the covers. Fleury stood up and grabbed her plate but I held her wrist. "What?" "Let me do it" I grabbed the plate for her and mine, walking around to the sink.
"You can just leave it there, I'll wash it in the morning" I shook my head and started to wash them. She stood beside me and grabbed a plate. I wrapped my hand around her wrist again. "Just relax, I'll be fine" I smirked, repeating her words. She grumbled and laid down beside Rose. "So what'd you pick?" "Bride wars" "Ooo good movie taste" I smiled hearing them
"Fleury?" I heard Rose very quietly and they seemed to be whispering to each other "Ask your mom" Fleury whispered loudly, intending for me to hear. "Ask me what?" I dried my hands off.
"Mama?" I could see the puppy dog eyes already as I walked to them. "Yes?" I smiled "Can we sleep beside Fleury" I looked at Fleury who smiled "I have reasons! One, Fleury would be alone and she doesn't feel good. If we were here, we can help cheer Fleury up! Two, The bed is very comfortable. Three, you love me. Four, We love Fleury." I laughed at her reasoning and Fleury smiled as well
"Thank you for the reasonings, but-" "Awh shucks, here come the buts" Rose slid under the covers "But- I was going to say yes anyways" Rose immediately sat up with a big smile "Yay!" Rose cheered and Fleury moved over to give me space beside her. "Um Fleury? Do you have a charger?" "Yeah! Here" she held up a wire and I laid beside her with a smile.
"Shes sleeping" fleury whispered to me and I sat up looking at Rose, who was indeed sleeping. "she'll end up on top of you when you wake up" i laugh quietly "she's just like me then" she shrugged "can you grab me my phone please? its beside you" I reached over and handed fleury her phone.
I turned the TV off and turned to my side, looking at her. "What?" She smiled, the phone light making me see her features more. "Nothing" I shook my head and she was typing quickly. I leaned over and saw her typing on her notes app. She quickly turned her phone off and turned to me with wide eyes.
"Are you writing a song right now?!" I laughed "Shh" She hushed me and I playfully slapped her "You cant see it" she turned to me and so the phone wasn't at my view.
I leaned over and she put her phone down facing the bed and our faces were inches apart. I stared into her eyes. If I jus- "No" she pressed a finger to my lips and shook her head, moving down the bed and typing on her phone again.
"Atleast sleep! Its late" "its 11pm" "Thats late" "Fine" she handed her phone to me and wrapped her arms and legs around me. I smiled and hugged her back. "G'nite" she mumbled "Night darling" I kissed her forehead "Fleury?" I heard and we both turned to see Rose with a frown "You okay sweetie?" I asked and she shook her head. She stood up and got stood over me and Fleury and Fleury laughed, moving to the side and Rose laid between us.
"hug" rose mumbled and Fleury laughed wrapping her arm around Rose and held my hand. She rubbed my thumb and smiled at me. I smiled as I slept beside my girls.
