Beam dashed out of the ground and took Denji away. Reze stood behind the fence as she pulled out her choker, as if taking out the pin from a granite. "Boom" she said as her head exploded and she took upon the shape of the bomb devil. Just when she was about to take off to a chase after Beam, a powerful kick landed over her head, with a gust of frost.
"The smell of gunpowder... so it was you, Reze. And here I thought Denji found himself a girlfriend."
Frost landed on her feet as Reze flinched, she was covered in frost as she looked at her in anger, "Move, Frost devil." She said and raced ahead of her, yet her attempts to get away were failed as Frost was much faster than her. Reze turned around and ran towards Frost this time. This took her off guard, unaware of what powers Reze possessed, Frost braced herself, yet what was to come shocked her. Reze threw a shining amber towards her, which blew up in a bit, causing Frost to blow several meters back.
'Shit! She got me-' Frost grit her teeth as she braced herself for the impact. Her head was already bleeding when she crashed down on some trees. A few branches stabbed through her abdomen as she grit her teeth and tried to move, in pain, she tried to get up. Yet she wasn't able to muster up the power, and she kept losing more strength as she lost blood.
'Shit! Shit! Shit! I need to get out of here!'
Meanwhile, Reze blew up beam and killed a few private devil hunters as she moved closer to the 4th devil hunter division. Aki and Angel were training along with the second division when suddenly, Beam crashed in front of Aki along wit Denji. Aki was shocked, "Denji... did a devil get to him!?" He asked Beam.
"Ugh... BOMB! Bomb coming... Bomb... Gun devil's partner-"
"How do you know that?"
Beam tried putting together words, "If I tell... killed! Promised miss Makima..." He then shook off Aki and pointed at the door, "AH! BOMB COMING! COMING!"
A shadow could now be seen from a distance, "Hey! Pretty lady, you can't come here... this is the anti-devil second unit, civilians aren't allowed." A worker said when the voice grew stronger and the woman's face grew clearer.
"Soooory!"
"Reze..." Denji managed to speak a warning.
"Please help meeeee, a devil is after meeee." She said, with a smile wide and glowing. The guard found it strange, he warned the others as Reze twisted her neck. "Guess that won't work... looks like it's time for a good ole massacre."
She took off the pin from her choker again.
Boom.
A blast left off towards the 2nd division devil hunters as they offered to hold back Reze while Aki and the others could run away with Denji. Aki quickly took out a car, making Denji sit on the front seat, Angel and Beam on the last seat. Moments later, Reze landed in front of the car, holding in her hands, the heads of two of Aki's comrades. Aki's eyes opened wide in horror as he cursed the devil.
"Monster..."
He said and drove off, avoiding her and trying to get Denji to wake up, "Someone just give this chainsaw brat some blood!" Aki said as Angel took out his sleeve with a grunt, "What a pain..." He said and cut off his wrist, drawing blood out and putting it inside Denji's mouth.
"This is such a pain in the ass..." Reze said and jumped atop the car, "The gasoline is gonna burn down the car... but-" A sudden kick landed on Reze as she was trying to burst a hole inside the car, trying to get Denji out of there. A kick frosted with snow.
"I-impossible... how're you-" Reze cursed as she saw the familiar figure stumble and sit on the roof. A figure bruised with holes and blood, yet standing like a valiant, atop a car.
"Because you're just too weak... Bomb." Frost said as she braced herself, seeing Reze charge towards the car again.
"Snowflake!" Aki recognized that voice, and recognized the face that she had come their rescue, despite the fact that she was gravely wounded. There was blood on the car's window glass, Frost's blood.
"Hi Aki." She said and drew another wall of ice which stopped Reze form coming closer. "Get in the car! You're bleeding- You need blood right? I'll give you-"
"There's no need, I've already had some blood to keep me going." Frost said, she'd taken blood from Kobeni and Violence who had helped her to get going for the rescue. "Keep Denji down Aki, I'll take care of the bomb. She can't cut my ice, after all, she is still weak." She said as the car rushed inside the highway, along with the other cars running up in high speed.
"Here she comes!" Angel warned as he saw Reze jumping up to a truck's roof, trying to attack Denji again and again. Frost also kept pushing her back, yet she just didn't give up, 'I absolutely can't fail this time...' She grit her teeth.
"Frost Devil, I request you back off, there is no need for us to fight." Reze said as Frsost chuckled, "Oh poor Reze... You think I'll back off? You dared harm Denji and Beam... you surely don't know what's to come."
"Ah well, looks like you die too." Reze said, causing a few more explosions that Frost took head on, trying to protect her friends. "Frost! Get in!" Aki shouted, sensing how she was getting seriously wounded in the process.
"AH!?" Denji woke up.
"Hey hey! Chainsaw boy's up again, but the bomb's already on our trail." Angel said as Aki sped up, "Worst comes to worst, I'll run the car into her! We can't give her Denji!" Aki said, yet Denji had different plans.
"Except Frost... except Frost... EVERY GIRL I'VE MET HAS TRIED TO KILL ME!!!" Denji shouted and burst out of the roof of the car. "Cut it out Denji!!" Aki said, trying to get him back down, yet he stood on top of the car, beside Frost, as he shouted while looking at Reze.
"EVERYONE'S GOT A HARDON FOR THE CHAINSAW'S HEART! BUT WHAT ABOUT DENJI'S HEART!??" Denji said as Reze stopped.
"I wasn't lying when I said I liked you Denji." She said, and Denji melted, "Huh... Really?"
"Don't listen to the enemy Denji! You're too gullible!" Aki shouted.
"I donno why you wanna kill me, but it doesn't matter! I've got Makima!" Denji declared, and Reze stood shocked, "Makima... so the witch got to you too?" She said. 'Witch.... Reze called Makima a witch...' and it suddenly made Frost wonder, why was Reze after the chainsaw's heart? No... why was everyone after it, or rather, why were they trying to separate the chainsaw's heart, from Makima.
