Shay woke up smelling food she turned over to see Jack sound asleep on the floor beside the couch curled up with some covers she smiled weakly stepping over him she walked into the kitchen to see Alex standing in front of the stove the smell of Eggs, bacon and sausage filled the room she walked over to the fridge grabbing the orange juice along with a glass from the cupboard pouring her a glass feeling two arms wrap around her waist a smile on her face.
“Good morning beautiful”
Shay smiled wrapping her arms around his neck hugging him close, “Good morning.” She said quietly as his lips pressed against her own.
Shay’s phone started to vibrate on the counter behind her where it was left to charge last night she pulled back pecking his lips smiling as he got back to cooking breakfast she turned seeing Roo’s name across the screen she smiled picking it up putting it to her ear leaning against the counter.
“Hey Roo” she answered.
“I have news!” Roo sang.
Shay raised an eye brow, “What’s the news?” she asked hearing exciment in her voice.
“Matt said if I can get through this signing today and help with there for tomorrows recording by the time you guys get here I can officially be an over the road producer.”
Shay smiled, “That’s awesome! Are you going to tell Jack?” she asked glancing in the living room where he still laid on the floor asleep.
“No I want it to be a surprise, like I’m coming to the show and the rest of the tour kind of thing.” She said.
Shay smiled, “Got it” she said as Alex walked over kissing her cheek making her smile more, “Jack is still asleep, I don’t think he slept hardly at all last night.”
“I know how he feels, but don’t wake him up I kind of rushing now as it is I have to be at this brunch type thing for the sighing and I need to look prestable.” She said.
Shay smiled again, “You’ll do great” she assured her just as Jack walked into the kitchen rubbing his eyes then ran a hand through his messy hair walking over beside her pouring a cup of coffee
“Oh I finally figured out why Matt wanted me at this signing.”
Shay glanced at Jack a second then over at Alex, “How come?” she asked.
Jack looked down at Shay as he sipped his coffee, “Is that Roo?”
Shay nods.
“He’s not going to be there apparently, his wife is due to have a baby in the next few days and eh wanted me to take over while he was with her, I didn’t know she was so close to the due date.”
“Neither did I, but you’ve had Matt by your side teaching you all the ropes to everything so you’ll do great today.” Shay said with a smile as she sat on the couch.
Roo took in a deep breath, “I’m just nervous.”
Shay smiled, “I know, and I also know someone who must really want to talk to you because he’s been following me since he walked into the kitchen.” She said feeling Jack sit next to her on the couch. “And talking to him might just calm the nerves down.”
“I thought you said he was sleeping, put him on!” Roo said excited.
Jack herd her and chuckled taking the phone, “I was, but Alex’s cooking woke me up.” He said with a smile.
“Even in your sleep you’re hungry.”
“Yup, how are things going there?” Jack asked still smiling.
“I’m getting ready to go to the contract sighing for the new band and I’ll have you know you’re talking to a naked girl on the phone.”
Jack smirked but instantly pouted, “Oh? And don’t tease me like that I can’t see you.” he whined.
“Oh what’s this glow in the dark batman undies?!” Roo said still teasing.
Jack groaned, “Roo Roo, stop it.” He whimpered standing up walking up the stairs to the guest room so he could change out of the clothes he had on the day before.
“You know you love it.”
Jack dug through his bag in the guest room that was on the bed he chuckled, “Yeah you’re right I do.” He said picking out a pair of skinny jeans with one of his JAGK clothing line shirts placing them on the bed along with a pair of boxers sitting on the bed, “We leave for tour in a few hours, we’re waiting on Zack, Rian and the bus to get here.” He said with a sigh.
“Well at least they’re not as slow as Alex.”
Jack chuckled, “You’re also forgetting Shay, ever since they got together they’ve both been slow or late getting to places on time.”
Roo laughed, “You’re lucky I can keep up.”
Jack smiled, “Yeah I am, but I’m going to be late today as well but I’m not complaining.”
“Why are you going to be late?” Roo asked confused.
Jack smiled hearing the confusion in her voice, “Over slept, haven’t had breakfast yet nor have a took a shower, and I’m talking to you but as I said I’m not complaining cause it’s worth it.” He said still smiling.
“You should probably go get ready”
Jack whined, “But I don’t want too.” He pouted.
“I don’t want you to be late though.”
Jack sighed, “I won’t be late, but you you’re self will be if you don’t get ready.” He said with a weak smile not wanting to let her go.
“I have about 30 minutes; do you have your laptop?”
Jack looked around finding his laptop case propped against the closet door walking over laying it on the bed unzipping it and turned it on, “Yeah I have it.”
“I have skype up already, and are you naked? If not you should be.” Roo said giggling slightly.
Jack wiggled his eye brows, “Stop teasing me, it’s not cool.” He mumbled clicking skype once his computer started up and logged in to Skype.
“Ask what I’m wearing and I’ll hurt you.”
Jack chuckled slightly, “You wouldn’t hurt me” he said accepting the video chat.
“Cleavage!” Roo said pushing her boobs together smiling at him, “I wouldn’t hurt you physically but mentally I can do some damage”
Jack sighed, “You know this isn’t helping my situation” he mumbled with a smirk.
“But you love me.” She smiled innocently pulling her phone away.
Jack smiled and watched her, “Do i?” he asked with a innocent smile.
“I don’t know, do you?”
Jack pouted as he looked into the camera, “You should know the answer to that.”
“I love you too” Roo smiled and walked off to get her shoes.
Jack smiled yawning glancing over at the time pouting even more looking back at the screen, “I should start getting ready, can we Skype again tonight?” Jack asked waiting for her to come back.
“I’ll be at the studio tonight working there for tomorrow but yes, you’ll be able to hear me and don’t get jealous this time because of Maika like the last time I worked with them.” Roo said walking back into view.
Jack made a face and huffed, “I’ll try not too” he smiled weakly hating how he had to cut this short, “I’ll talk to you tonight, text me when you log onto Skype, I love you.”
“Alright, I love you too” she blew a kiss toward the camera smiling logging off.
Jack sighed closing his laptop putting it back into his case walking across the floor to the bathroom closing the door turning the shower on he stripped out of his clothes and stepped inside once the water was to his liking.
Jack walked down the stairs with his bag lazily as the bus pulled in he glanced over at Shay and Alex, Alex had his arms wrapped around Shay’s waist from behind they looked over smiling.
“Hey Jacky you okay?” Alex asked.
Jack shrugged a little, “Fine” he mumbled.
Shay untangled herself from Alex kissing his cheek feeling him smile, she walked over to Jack putting an arm around him.
“Come on, let’s get on the bus. This calls for a bottle of Jack and a home alone marathon.”
Jack smirked.
“And Cookie Crisp?”
Shay smiled. “And cookie crisp”
Everyone was scattered around the bus as Shay kept her best friend occupied Alex was in the lounge playing Call of Duty with Zack and Rian they could both hear them yelling and wooting, Jack sighed as he continued to watch the movie resting his head on her shoulder.
“Thanks Shay, for being here for me.” He mumbled.
Shay smiled.
“I’m always here, you’re my best friend I’m only trying to make you happy, it won’t be long till you see Roo again I promise.”
Jack smiled weakly yawning, “Night Shay”
“Good night Jack”
