"Yeah well to bad you're to short and can't reach it." Wyatt said laughing.
I smacked his shoulder.
"Dude just let me wear your hoodie." I said crossing my arms.
"Fine. You're lucky you're cute." He said reaching for his blue hoodie that has the word "Charles" on the back. That's his last name.
Jake slammed his locked shut and walked away.
"Someone's moody." Wyatt said.
I laughed.
"Knock it off." I said.
Wyatt gave me his hoodie and slipped it on.
"What? I'm gonna make fun of him, he's your ex." Wyatt said.
"Ex." That word hit me and made my world stop.
"Just. Don't, okay?" I said.
"Alright, if that's what you want." Wyatt said.
"Thank you." I said.
No matter how I tried. My heart longed to be with Jake.
I don't want to feel that way but I do.
Jake doesn't want to be with me anymore.
He wants starling. And you can tell she wants him.

"Y/n" Jake said.
"Hm."I asked closing my book.
"Who's the guy you've been with." Jake asked me.
"What's going on with you and starling huh?" I asked.
"She doesn't matter y/n, why can't you believe me?" He stated.
"I can't believe you because I saw the way you guys looked at each other! And when it comes down between me and her, she always get picked. Even when it comes to love." I said looking down.
"Y/n, I-" he said but I cut him off.
"You don't understand Jake. She's taken everyone I ever loved from me. It's like she casts a spell on them. The only people who haven't ever been affected from that is Time and you- well.. not you anymore." I said not looking at him.
"Y/n, please, I love you not her." Jake said touching my arm.
"Jake, I still love you too. But I can't do this right now. I need time." I said.
I heard him sigh.
"That's fine." And just like that he walked away.
I flipped a page in my book.
"She let him go but her heart still longed for him. Even after everything he did to her. He broke her into millions of pieces and yet she still loves him. Love is tricky and rough. She just doesn't quite understand that the devil doesn't bargain."
