A Nightmare

With a gasping mouth, Lilah stood like a statue carved of stone, till the beastly figure laid a clammy hand hard on her shoulder bone. Watching it brought tightening to her guts, till she screamed out in terror. The only thing she heard was her voice echoing back to her. It was quiet.

"Hahahahahaaa! Hohohohohoooo!! Hahahahahahahahaaa!!!" It let out an evil laughter, and she wondered where it was from. It sounded like the skies just crackled the evil laughter at her, and her delicate eyes glanced up. Thunder and lightning claps striped into the dark, silent sky. Making the trees wave their leaves to the screaming breeze ruling the air. The thunder rumblings sent flashes to the place, making it feel like scenes from a horror movie.

The thunderstorm echoed in the sky, sending a fierce warning. It felt so real that the drizzling rain followed. More thunderclaps were heard, and then the rainfall increased, pouring heavily.

Feeling cold and wet, Lilah ran for her life. Violently threatened, she looked for somewhere safe to hide, but every site looked more frightening. It was as if the giant trees were praising the sky as thunder and rainfall convulsively shook the place.

Lilah was still young and hale. She didn't want to die. To this, she shrieked like a soul in hell. The red blood was left on the scary face of the terrifying werewolf as she reeled away in a drunken run through the silent forest in the rain. In front of her looked darker than ever and looking back, she couldn't go.

"Ooooowww!" The terrifying werewolves with glowing red eyes chased after her. It seems there were a thousand more coming after her. She tried to wolf out but the more she tried, the closer it came. The pain made her weaker as she tried. Just then, she felt the liquid trickling down her legs. Looking down, she realized it was blood and she might lose the baby.

"No...no." A quick intake of breath escaped her lips as she gritted her teeth, breathing fast. She wanted to survive. She needed to.

Running loosely, Lilah fell to the ground and sprained her ankle. She tried to stand up but couldn't. A sharp pain ran through her veins as fear soared to her stiff body. The colossal figure with thick, twisted horns came with a face like a mummy's mask. She just wanted to wake from this nightmare that would not end. It was taking like forever. Lilah looked into the sky and cried for the moon goddess to intervene, but as she stared at the radiating moon, it sank into a wave of dark, smokey clouds. Everywhere turned pitch dark. She couldn't see where to go now. And just then, Lilah realized that she had lost her senses as a wolf blood.

Instead, the evil werewolf's dead joints cracked and the stiff legs creaked with its unwanted task. Its gigantic figure swelled, and its iron claws stretched in thirst for torture.

Just then, Lilah touched a mysterious netty tree. She felt the whole place tremble as she rested on it. The roaring breeze made her climb up, her sweaty hands struggled to hold it tight.

"Wow!!"

Across with a howl that ruled the skies; the strange werewolf leading the pack proceeded with a sharp dagger on its hand. Flying with supernatural, fast speed. It jumped at her without climbing the netty tree, pulling her down to the ground at once. It stabbed her directly in the chest, ripping out her heart with its long, clawed fingernails. Making her precious heart burst like a pearl of red grape. Its writhed lips formed a horrid grin like a friend's on Satan's coals.

Lilah dropped dead as she saw her soul walk out of her body. The leading werewolf took a sharp turn at Lilah as she shrieked back to life. The last thing she remembered was that it had the face of Asher before she woke up.

Scared to death,

And it came; the wild werewolf dragged itself across the path. It was an ugly creature with bent ears, trailing on her wounded, broken leg, whimpering.

"Ahhh! Ahhhh!!! Ahhhhh!!!" Lilah screamed at the top of her voice, still asleep. Choking in her breath as she struggled.

"Ahhh! Ahhhh!!! Ahhhhh!!!" She kicked her legs in the air, holding onto her pink nightgown, her fingers tore through it, still asleep and screaming.

"Ahhh! Ahhhh!!! Ahhhhh!!!" Her breath thickened as if drowning, but she fought through, still screaming.

Asher bashed into her room and ran to hold her. Fear clouded his dark eyes as he held her trembling hands.

"Lilah... Lilah, wake up!" Asher woke her up. She jolted into reality at once and found herself on the bed.

"It's just a dream, okay? Calm down." He whispered to her hearing. Lilah's eyes widened with fear as she pulled him into a tight hug. Her arms wrapped around him like a lifebuoy. She let out a sharp intake of air and placed her head on his built shoulder.

"They were chasing me. The pack didn't want me. They hate me." Tears rolled down her eyes as she whimpered the words. Still struggling to breathe.

"I won't let that happen." He pulled out of the hug and defended. Yet, with a calm tune. "It's okay, Lilah. It was just a dream. You're awake now."

"I had a nightmare." She nodded her head, confounded as heavy beads of sweat dripped down her face.

"I saw my corpse," Lilah muttered and swallowed hard. Tears gathered in her eyes and fear was transparent on her body. She had a confused look, trying to struggle with what she had used just

"It's just a dream. None of it is real." He wiped away her sweat, trying to comfort her, but Lilah couldn't fathom why these were happening. She couldn't help but cry on his comforting shoulders. Despite the chilly weather, Lilah was dripping wet all over.

"I'm so scared, Asher. I feel I'm in a kind of trap or something. I don't understand." More tears clouded her eyes as she gulped down the hysteria welling in her chest. "It was a bad dream."

"It's okay." Asher calmed her down.

"No, you don't understand." Lilah panicked. "They don't want us together! We've offended the moon goddess. I... I"

"No, listen." He cut her off. "Just listen to me," Asher muttered, staring deeply into her eyes. "Whatever it was, it was just a dream. It will not happen and you're awake now."

Lilah sniffed and gently placed her heavy head on his shoulder again. Into a soft cuddle this time. As her fingers spread over his back, and his caressing made her feel better. Then she noticed the warmth of his body.

"I don't want to sleep alone tonight." Lilah pulled out of the cuddle and leaned closer to him. Staring at his charming eyes. "Stay with me, please."

"Is that what you want?"

Her delicate blue eyes danced at him, and he knew she needed him. "It's okay, you're awake now so... Just try to rest." Asher helped her to lie down on the bed.

"Can you just... Hold my hand?" He asked her. Lilah's trembling hand held onto his without thinking.

Firmly.

Lilah clenched her chattering teeth, holding onto him. She was cold and sweaty.

Amaya was going through a fashion magazine when Asher stepped in from the home gym.

She smirked at the front page and Asher turned in her direction, without being called upon. Amaya has a way of getting his attention without words.

"You called me." He started with a small frown.

"What happened last night?"

"Last night." He stuttered as if lost.

"I saw you stepping out of Lilah's room this morning." she wore a suspicious glance at her son. Asher couldn't help but roll his eyes at the idea.

"Oh... With Lilah."

"Yes, with Lilah." She turned to him completely, and Asher nodded his head negatively. Knowing how curious his mother can be.

The corners of her lips raised while she softly giggled at the sore expression on Asher's face.

"Well, it's not what you're thinking, mum." He cut her off at the thought. "Lilah had a bad dream so... She asked me to spend the night with her."

Amaya raised her eyebrows, her mouth partly opened while she gasped for air. "Oh, now I get." She chuckled again at him. "Did she tell you to cuddle her all night?"

"Mum... Mum, she was cold and scared. I helped her keep warm and protected."

"Awwwn... Things are getting better between you two. Why won't you keep her warm?" She busted out in laughter this time. "Don't mind me. Let me tell you something."

Amaya dropped the magazine and walked up to her son. "You both look good together." She spelled the word to him.

"Oh, mother. You've started again." He hung his head low, raising an eyebrow in her direction. "What do you mean by both of you look good together? Look, mum. I had a very long, tiring day. I just want to climb up to my bed and rest." He told her. "Let me hurry away before you say another thing."

"But I'm telling the truth. You two are perfect together. Your height, your smiles... You are just perfect for each other."

Asher squinted his nose at his mum.

"It's okay."

"But I saw you coming out of her room." Amaya defended.

"It's okay, let me rest." Asher turned his back on her as he walked towards the guest room. "I'll see you later."

"Awwwn... How cute." Amaya chuckled loudly at him.

"Don't say another one." His voice echoed from the guest room.

"My son is already in love. He is in love, but he just won't admit it." Amaya muttered, going back to the long sofa in the living room, and reading her fashion magazine.
