"Why are you forcing me to wear saree, Barbie, your in laws will be there not mine" Nandini groaned in frustration while I smiled cheekily at hers.
Oh Nandu I have to make you wear it , as I've already promised Manik.
"Come on they will be your in laws as well in future" I winked at her only for her to roll her eyes "Bullshit" she uttered.
I giggled then said "Look I am able to arrange these two at the last minute, the designer was kind enough to handpicked these two" I showed her the sarees, and the blouses, the saree was different but the blouses were ditto same in designs and colours.
Today we have invitation in Manik's new house, he has arranged a Puja there and theirs few close family members and we all are invited.
It's been 5 days and I still didn't talk with Anurag, after my outburst he didn't call me neither sent any text to me which I was grateful for but ughh I was disappointed as well.
I am such a confused bitch.
Dad and Mom is still out of India, Dad is now in London for a work and Mom in New York to meet granny as she isn't doing well these days.
I and Nandini wished to see her soon but we have exams , University sucks way too much.

We helped each other in wearing the sarees, I kept my look simple leaving my hair open which fell on my bare back hiding it like a curtain, I chose to wear a small earrings and did the makeup.
While Nandini on the other hand wear heavy jhumkas and did her hair in a bun with middle partitioned hair and subtle makeup as well.
"There is still time barbie, why not we click pictures before leaving ?" She suggested and I nodded in yes.

"This is not my marriage you fucker" I yelled at my designers, as they were really getting on my nerves.
"Sir we can arrange all these only" They were literally shivering, because I wasn't the one who shouts at their time but today is different.
"Meri shadi nahi hai, it's a Puja, dulha banane ki firak mein kyu ghum rahe ho? Itna chamkeela dhamkeela outfit (It's not my marriage, it's a Puja only and why do you all want to make me groom , ugh this much shiny shimmery outfit)" I yelled again, come on I have to look good today, Nandini would be there, my parents would be there and top of that my granny grandpa and they all are coming as well.
"Why are you shouting way too much today? Dimag toh kharab nahi hogaya" Here comes Oldie Malhotra clad in red coloured kurta and golden pants, he looked handsome and I feel Jealous.
I huffed.
"Bhai tu apne kapde mujhe de de please aur tu meri wali pehn le (bhai please give your outfit to me and wear mine please)" He said a face at my words "Ewww I won't going to wear that I am fine in this one" I feel like crying now.
"Ughh I don't want to wear it" groaning in frustration I sat down on the bed holding my head "Just to let you all know everyone is here and Nandini and Mannat will arrive in few mins" He muttered much to my annoyance.
Well my new house is on the same building as Anurag's because I can't live without my brother not the sarcasm please. And now I am in Anurag's apartment getting ready here and maa and others are checking the preparation of puja in my house which is beside Anu's.
"Manik I thought girls only throw tantrums when it comes to choosing outfit, but you've changed my perspective bro" Okay I was controlling because I don't want to slam a hard punch on his jaw.
"If you here to taunt me then kindly fuck out" I glared at him angrily.
"Don't forget you are in my home" He reminded making me groan.
"Anu I don't want to fight now yaar" I muttered raking my hand on his hairs.
I heard him sighing as he gaped at the outfits, scanning it completely "Don't think much and wear this one" He handed me the outfit.
"You want me to look like a joker infront of Nandini?" He grumbled snatching the outfit from his hand and placing it on the bed beside.
"Firstly don't fucking show your tantrums and this is the only decent kurta I found, if you don't want to wear it then do the hell you want" Yelling back at me, he left making me stomp my feet in frustration.
I stare at the outfit which Anu suggested and damnn I didn't have any other options. Let's wear this then.

Anurag and Manik waited outside the building for their Queens who will enter anytime now, the paps capturing the Malhotra Twins as they even posed.
As finally the range rover halted beside them, The Malhotra Brothers opened the door for their ladies, and they stepped out.
Anurag wanted to give a tight hug to Mannat but controlled himself knowing the cameras on them, as they made their way inside and to the elevator Manik huffed out.
"You are looking beautiful, Mannat" Manik complimented all off a sudden as they waited for the door to open.
"I am 100 percent sure your compliment was directed towards my elder twin" Mannat snapped back , pressing a tight smile on her face, while Anurag chuckled leaning his head against the wall.
"The compliment was for you only Mannat my pyari si bhabhi" He said, Mannat rolled her eyes in return while Nandini concentrated on her phone.
As soon the door opened, Nandini was the first one to walked out of the Elevator followed Manik and then out Mannat and Anurag.
When Anurag saw that Manik has already taken inside his apartment, he grabbed his wife's wrist and pinned her to the side wall, Mannat knew it would be Anurag that's why she didn't shout, she didn't want anyone to caught them like this.
"Anurag what are you doing leave me" She whispered yelled at him, wriggling to come out of his grip "My grandparents from both the sides are inside and they all got to know that we are married" Her eyes widened at his words.
"What? Shit now they'll ask me some uncomfortable questions shitt, I did a mistake of coming here" She muttered getting scared suddenly.
"Hush don't think much, they aren't orthodox they are cool enough" He assured her, tucking her hair strands behind her ear.
"Don't touch me , I am angry" She jerked his hand, and he realised she was back again in her angry mood.
Pushing him, She made her way towards Manik's house.

"Where is Mannat?" Mohini asked Nandini looking here and there "Maa she might've stuck somewhere with Anur--" Manik's words stopped in a mid when they heard another voice m
"I am here only Mohini Aunty" It was Mannat's voice as she walked inside.
"Finally My gorgeous twins are here" Mohini hugged both of them while they touched her feet in order to take blessings from her.
And finally Anurag made entry as well.
"Please have a seat, the puja will start after sometime" Mohini made them sit and was about to go to check the preparations when Mannat asked "Aunty do you need any help can I come with you?" She was uncomfortable seeing Anurag's other family members there, that's why she asked Mohini.
"I'll manage baccha" She left after softly caressing her cheek.
"Anurag won't you introduce your wife to us" She coughed hearing the elderly lady's voice who was sitting opposite to hers, She knew it was Anurag's paternal grandmother.
"Aah Mannat she is my Didi Maa (Maternal Grandmother) and that's my Nanu bhai (Maternal Grandfather) and She is my Biji (Paternal Grandmother) and the cool man beside her is my daado (Paternal Grandfather)" Anurag let out while She nervously nodded her head.
"Why are you standing there ? Come here, you've taken Mohini's blessings but not us, aren't we your in laws as well" And she felt more nervous by the stern words of Didi maa.
"Uh I am so sorry" She muttered in haste and immediately took their blessings while Anurag was shocked as well like why she was sounding so stern, because in reality she is the coolest.
"Why are you all teasing my bhabhi with this stern actions? You cruel peoples can't you see how nervous she looks" Manik came out as a saviour, while all of them chuckled.
"Come on we were just kidding" Biji said giggling a bit while Didi maa stood up and caressed Mannat's face "Ki Mishti meye (such a sweet girl) She complimented , giving a kiss on her forehead.
"Uh didi maa she doesn't know bengali please" Anurag said sensing her confused yet expression.
"Not an issue Anurag will give you Bengali lessons" Didi maa said caressing her cheeks "I was just kidding that time, please don't take it seriously okay?" She further added.
"It's alright didi maa" Mannat muttered smiling.
"Teri wali bandi chup se kyu baithi hai wahan?" Biji whispered in Manik's ear.

"Biji meri wali ka toh alag hi tantrum hai(Biji my one shows so much of tantrums)" Manik whispered back.
"Nandini come here, We all know you will be the daughter in law of ours soon" She was jolted up by the voice and found it was Manik's daado (Paternal Grandfather) who said it .
She forced a smile on her face and walked towards them, took their blessings and then stood silently.
"You all actually Neither Mannat nor Nandini are this silent it's just you all are scaring them" Anurag said it.
"Are we look that scary?" Biji wondered.
"No but you all are giving nosy in laws vibes" They all laughed again at Manik's statment.
"I've gotten something for Mannat" Didimaa stated and searched something in her purse and smiled when she found it
"Bengali married women's wear sakha pola so I got this for you" She muttered showing her the red and white bangles "Now come on give your hands" She forward her hands and Didi maa made her wear it.
(Shakha, the white bangle is crafted & polished out of the conch shell, and Pola is a red coral bangle. Shakha & Pola, are an integral symbol of a married woman and holds great significance in Bengali culture. Married women wear a pair of each in both hands.)
"This is so beautiful, thank you didi maa" She thanked her smiling as she caressed the bangles.
"Anurag did you get the thing which we've asked for you?" Biji questioned her elder grand son.
"Yeah here it is" He took out the nuptial chain from his kurta pocket.
"Mannat today we have the puja here and you are the elder grand daughter in law of this family , so you have to wear your nuptials" Biji explained everything to her softly.
"Also there is only us , without any outsiders so you don't need to take tension" Biji further said.
It was their grandparents, few of their cousins , aunts and uncles and Manik's team , and one of them were nosy there.
"Alright I don't have any problem" She just nodded her head in yes.
"Anu make her wear the the nuptial chain" Hearing Didi Maa's words, She glared at anurag once as he made her wear the chain, She so wanted to punch him as he intentionally caressed her neck before locking the chain properly.
"Now the Vermillion"
"Uh Biji I've already applied it , it's just it's hidden from my hair" She cleared in haste.
"But it's not visible"
"Why are you all forcing her? If she doesn't want to do it" Anurag voiced out, "It's not like we are getting married today again right? It's a puja for Manik's new house" He was kind off frustrated.
"Yes guys, you all literally behaving like some ughh, daily soap daadi's and Naani's" Their grandfathers laughed loudly at Manik's words.
"She can open it after the puja" That's what Didimaa and Biji said it in unison.

"In the next puja, it will be you who will going to perform everything with Manik and help Mohini in making the arrangements" Nandini was shocked by the voice and turned to found Didimaa and Biji seating either sides of hers.
"How are you so sure that I'll be Manik's wife?" She questioned them, raising her left eyebrow.
"We know you kids enough" Biji said "And We've seen the live footage of the concert as well as the Goa pics" Didi Maa further said in a teasing manner making her eyes widened and she coughed a little.
"You looked sexy in that black bikini" She gulped, hearing her. "And the photographer took such nice pictures"
"I feel you both teasing her, which is not good okay?" Manik whined pouting.
And before they could further teased the to be couples they heard Mohini saying that the puja will start.
Anurag took a seat beside his wife, who was giving full concentration to the mantras priests were chanting while joining her hands.
"If you are done staring at me like a creep , then concentrate on the puja now" She elbow him on his thigh before closing her eyes and joining her hands.

Manik pouted staring at his grandfathers who were talking with Nandini as like they were flirting with hers, and he didn't want to say but he want to spend time alone with hers, atleast for 5 mins, he want to tell her that how beautiful she is looking in a saree.
He yawned then plopped another sweet in his mouth, He was feeling sleepy as well, as he wokeup early in the morning today , visited gurudwara with Anurag, feed the poors and then puja and he was hungry as well.
The lunch will set after sometime.
He pouted seeing Nandini talking with everyone, his cousins, his team, his all the relatives but not with him. 'God why are you being so unfair to me' He said to himself in his mind.
He got up and walked towards her mother who was talking with some of their relatives "Maa I am feeling hungry, when will you set the lunch?" With a whine he asked placing her head on her shoulder.
"Just few more mins shona, where is Anu by the way?" She asked turning towards her younger twin who was making all thr cute faces as he was hungry and I tired.
"I don't know"
