"I'm feeling okay," I tell Mason a hundred times but he gives me an expression that says I don't believe you for a second.
"Really." I sigh, "Perhaps just a headache but for the rest everything is okay."
His doctor's side has been showing for the past few hours after Silas called him, telling him to bring me and the tools he needs to our home and Mason agreed.
It feels good to lay in my own bed.
Let's forget about the fact that the rest of the guys attacked me with questions as soon as I walked through the front door.
Mason quite literally threatened to give them all a lethal injection.
Leah is still processing all this and I hope she doesn't feel guilty for letting me go out on my own.
I mean we both didn't know what was going to happen and I'm glad she didn't go with me. I don't want anyone else to get hurt.
"Where is Silas?" I raise a question, my eyes searching the room as I try to find any traces of the black-haired boy, who clearly isn't anywhere to be seen.
I expected to see him since he urgently called Mason for me to be back home.
I think he also doubled our security...
"He will be back soon," Mason smiles, checking if his tools are working properly.
"How long do I need to stay attached to this thing?" I point at the heart monitor next to me, my headache getting worse by the freaking beeping of it.
"Hopefully not too long. If I take quick guess olanzapine could stay in your blood for at least 7 days, so we should be careful." Mason explains, earning a groan from me.
7 days. I don't want to stay here for 7 days.
"What is this called?" I ask again out of boredom, seeing something like a headphone but smaller on my nightstand which doctors use to listen to your heart.
Mason chuckles at the many questions I'm asking, but I'm pretty sure he likes answering questions about medical health.
He picks the object up and hands it to me, "It's a stethoscope, you can listen to someone's heart with it."
I take the stethoscope or whatever it's called again and place it over my head, positioning it at the left side of my chest as I listen to my heart.
It's pretty normal.
My eyes lift towards the door when it suddenly opens, my eyebrows furrowing as I see my black-haired boy walk through the bedroom door.
Blood covering his hands and clothes.
I sigh, already knowing what he did.
"Well, just text me when you need something." Mason sends me a smile before he heads out of the room, closing it behind him.
"You should shower." I blurt like it wasn't obvious. His eyes lift up as if he was expecting me to say something else.
"What?" I chuckle, "You're not going to ask me why I'm soaked in blood?" He raises his eyebrows.
I shrug and shake my head, "I already know why. And to be honest, I would have done the same if the roles were switched."
He smiles and I point my finger at him, "But first go shower or I'm going to puke." I cover my nose with my hand, the smell of blood making my stomach turn.
"Oh yeah, sorry." He chuckles before he heads into the bathroom.

I groan, letting my head fall back on my soft pillows as Silas pulls a clean white t-shirt on his body, doing the same with his sweatpants.
His head turns to look at me in concern, "What's wrong?"
"I'm irritated by the beeping of this thing," I motion towards the heart monitor and he laughs, shaking his head as he walks next to the bed, taking out a chair while he seats himself next to my lying figure.
"I'm sorry I didn't realize sooner," He mumbles, his hand unintentionally playing with the sun necklace he's wearing, his eyes glued on my face.
"Don't apologize, you couldn't have realized that." I chuckle, intertwining our hands together as he sends me a soft smile.
I send him a playful smile, an idea rushing into my mind, "Can I try something?"
His eyebrows pinch together as he hesitates for a moment before he nods.
I grab the stethoscope from beside me, placing it over my head as I pull on his hand, making him move closer to me.
I place it over his heart, hearing how it beats at a normal pace. I think.
I cup his cheek with my left hand, pressing my lips on his as I smirk against him when I hear his heart start beating faster.
"Your heart is racing, mi amore." I laugh, pulling away from his touch as he backs away quickly, his face reddening.
"I wonder why, hm?" He breathes, probably trying to pick up his normal heart rate again.
I laugh softly, covering my mouth as he tries to stay neutral.
Silas shakes his head while he smirks, "You and your games," He reaches his hand out to me, trailing his fingers down my exposed arms and I must admit, that feeling is awesome.
His smirk biggens when the freaking heart monitor decides to start beeping like crazy, catching me off guard.
"Oh, your heart is racing, amore." He mocks while I'm deciding how to break this thing without someone noticing.
"Very funny, Silas." I fake a laugh as he chuckles, leaning back against his chair.
"How are you feeling?" He unexpectedly questions, tilting his head to the side as he gives me a soft smile.
"I'm fine," I smile which makes his eyebrows lift, telling me that he's hesitating to believe me. Him too?
I heave a sigh, "It's the truth," He hums in response and then stands up making my eyebrows pinch together, wondering where he's going.
My answer gets answered quickly enough when I see him pick up his electric guitar that was hanging against the wall.
He gets out his needed equipment too, placing them next to the bed as I smile with raised eyebrows.
"You're going to play it for me?" I chuckle and he lifts his eyes to look at me, placing his finger at the strings.
"You asked me back in Italy, I thought that this was a good moment to do it." He smiles, starting to play a few accords and I instantly recognize it, he's playing one of Chase Atlantic's songs...
And it's the hottest thing I have ever heard, or seen.
I feel my heart quicken, the beeping of the heart monitor exposing me yet again as my eyes trail over his muscular and veiny arms.
His head is leaned to the side, the strands of his black hair falling onto his forehead.
His fingers move from the one string to the other with ease, my eyes filled with admiration as I'm mesmerized by how perfect he is.
His eyes snap towards mine, his head still tilted to the side as a tiny smirk grew on his face while he doesn't lose focus, playing the rest of the song with ease.
I'll seriously break this heart monitor if it doesn't stop exposing me...

"Do you feel any better?" Leo questions, the rest of the guys seated on the edge of my bed while Mason checks up on me... Again.
"Mhm, a bit yeah." I smile and I hear a soft thud, seeing Xavier throwing himself on the bed like he was shot.
"You scared us." He breathes, staring at me as he pouts, "Yeah, you should've told us if something was wrong," Elias smiles softly.
"We're pretty good detectives, right, Nico?" Xavier nods towards the other black-haired guy and Nico chuckles, "Of course."
"You didn't see who the black-suited man was?" Max questions and I shake my head.
"But it could be a hallucination because-," I don't finish my sentence, my mouth forming a thin line as I clear my throat.
"Because?" Silas' voice resounds through the room, my head snapping up to see him leaning against the door, his full attention on me.
"Because I saw my dad but it isn't a big of a deal, Mason said some of the side effects were hallucinations." I talk rapidly, trying to get under the pressure I'm under right now.
"What did he-The hallucination say?" Silas raises other questions, his voice filled with curiosity.
I exhale deeply, "That I needed to throw up? Or I'd die," I catch Mason sparing a glance at Silas and I don't even want to know what they're planning right now.
I don't know if it was real or not, but to be honest, why would my dad even be helping me?
We hear the doorbell ring and Silas sighs as he pushes himself away from the door, making his way out of the room towards downstairs.
"Well, we're happy you're okay." Xavier smiles.
"Rowan wanted to be here but he had to take care of business," The ginger-haired boy rolls his eyes as he emphasizes the word business.
Right when I'm about to say something I hear multiple footsteps walking up the stairs, hearing muffled voices.
"I swear to God if she's-," My eyes widen when I spot Cayden walking through the bedroom door, frozen in place as he blinks.
Shit, I forgot to text them... Where even is my phone?
"Cayden, get your fat ass away from the door," Griffin hisses, pushing his way into the room.
"I'll take that as a compliment," Cayden grins as Aaron walks from behind Griffin.
"Are you feeling okay? Should we get you something? You're not cold, are you? Are you hungry?" Aaron questions, not even letting me answer the other million questions.
"I'm feeling okay, I don't need anything, I'm not feeling cold and I've already eaten," I answer all his questions as I hear my brothers sigh in relief.
"Silas?" Aaron clears his throat, sending a look towards Silas as he nods before exiting the room with my oldest brother.
What is going on... I'm not hallucinating this time, am I?
"What are they talking about?" I look over at Cayden and Griffin who shrug when I ask them that, but I know damn well they know what Aaron is planning.
"When can I be detached from this annoying thing?" I sigh, focussing my attention on Mason.
He shakes his head while chuckles leave his lips, "When I'm sure you won't have any of the side effects again."
I exhale slowly, my eyes roaming back towards the door when Silas and Aaron head back inside.
My eyebrows furrow together when I see that Silas is now the one glancing at Max, the brunette boy giving him a slight nod when their eyes meet.
They do know I'm not that stupid, right?
"I'm going to get some food, you want anything?" Leah smiles but I shake my head, I still feel pretty nauseous.
"We'll go with you," Xavier speaks up as he encourages the rest of the guys to go with them, which they soon agree to.
Mason clears his throat before he moves closer to the bedroom door, "I will be downstairs,"
Silas sighs, "I'll be in the shower." He enters the bathroom, leaving me alone with my brothers.
I pushed myself up from the bed as I decide to speak up first, "I'm sorry I didn't call you, I forgot." I hear Griffin sigh as he rubs his face.
"You're okay, that's what matters." Griffin breathes and my eyes wander back to Aaron in confusion.
"What is going on?" I raise a question, sensing tension in the room since Aaron walked out to talk with Silas about God knows what.
"There were rumours about the Ludovico clan having multiple moles, Silas is going to find out who while Max is going after the location of the Ambrose clan since they keep changing their location," Aaron explains, my mind is filled with information.
"We'll leave immediately when Max discovers their location, we can't wait any longer." Cayden finishes Aaron's sentence, the information getting my full attention.
My jaw clenches when I see the expression on their faces telling me enough, "And you three think I shouldn't be a part of it?"
Their eyes lift as Cayden opens his mouth before closing it when he has nothing to say.
"Look, I know where you're coming from but no." I say with pure honesty, "I've waited long, too long. I have been patient, going through things people-a teenager shouldn't go through."
"He took everything from me, from us. Our mom, our dad, my best friend." My voice sounds calm even though I'm nothing close to being calm.
"Everything was taken away from us as soon as mom came back from that mission." Cayden's jaw clenches at my words as they look at the wall behind.
"So no, I won't sit here. I need my revenge." I breathe, I might sound desperate but that's the only closure I will get.
"This is not healthy, Maeve." Aaron mumbles and it's almost like he's accusing me for being obsessed with Ethan...
And that's the funniest thing, Ethan Is obsessed with me.
"I'm not doing anything wrong, Aaron." I scoff.
"You know what's not healthy? Me being the one who found mom." My jaw clenches at the memory.
I start talking again, "Dad being the one who shot his own daughter and Kayla acting like she was there to save me only for her to betray me."
I notice the way Cayden closes his eyes for a second when I mention her.
"It's the painful truth and you three should accept it," I breathe.
I'm the one who is now avoiding eye contact because if I do I might break down, "Me killing Ethan is healthy for me."
"We obviously can't change your mind then," Griffin mumbles, "We're downstairs if you need us."
Griffin is the first one to leave the room before he's being followed by Aaron.
"He was just worried about you," Cayden murmurs as he looks at me.
"We all are..." He sends me a slight smile before he exits the room, the freaking heart monitor beeping faster again.
I play with the moon necklace around my neck, feeling anxious as I focus on the beeping of the machine, getting lost in my thoughts that I don't hear the bathroom door being opened.
"Amore," Silas mumbles after probably hearing everything.
"Don't even," I sigh, massaging my scalp as I feel a headache approaching, "I wasn't going to do anything," He chuckles, sitting on the chair next to the bed.
"I understand why you want to kill that fucker, I really do." He murmurs, his voice sounding more like a whisper as he intertwines our hands together.
His inhales deeply, "I just have the feeling that you're going to forget anout the risks."
"It's like you're going to kill him and you don't even care if you make it out alive or not?" I turn my head to look at Silas who's looking at his lap.
His face is turned into a frown like he's deep in thought.
"I only want this to be over," I mumble, ignoring what he said because I don't know it either.
"Look, I support whatever decision you make, amore." Silas breathes, his thumb rubbing circles on the back of my head.
"But I draw the line at you," He states, his voice sounding low and serious, "I want you to feel better first and then we'll see what happens, alright?"
I inhale deeply and nod, "Alright."
"Good." He smiles, placing his hand on the back of my head before he pulls my head closer, placing a soft kiss on my lips.
ϟ Silas ϟ
I hum feeling how much I missed her touch. My hand slides away from the back of her head as I cup her cheek before pulling away from her.
I chuckle when the heart monitor begins beeping like crazy again and she glares at the machine for exposing her like these past few hours.
"Go to sleep, you need the rest, mia vita," I whisper against her lips before helping her get comfortable in our bed.
"Are you going to watch me sleep like a creep?" She raises an eyebrow and I burst out laughing, "No, I'm not." I tell her.
Of course, I'll be staring at her, have you seen her? Always so gorgeous...
I draw circles on her skin and watch her eyes close as she falls asleep in a matter of 10 minutes.
I get out my phone when it dings, sighing at the message.
