|Izzy's POV|

"How was the talk with with Logan's teacher," Mama Kels questioned.

I sighed.

"Academically he's above his class, but behaviorally, we're having some issues."

She frowned.

"What's wrong?"

"That's what we're trying to pinpoint and figure out. Today he had an outburst and he got aggressive, throwing things at his teacher and guidance counselor and using profanity. She gave us a whole list."

"Logan is cursing?" she asked.

I nodded.

"She said he curses with his friends, but now I need to go back and see what he's watching on his iPad. I give him his headphones, he knows he has 30 minutes, but I leave him be. I feel like I'm part of the problem."

"Why would you say that?"

"When I was his age, my younger sister Aurora was born. I acted and lashed out because I wanted attention. My parents and uncles spent time with me, but things weren't the same. I can empathize with Logan if he feels there's a change now that he not only has to share time with his sister, but with Bianca as well. I know he has cousins, but they're not here all the time. I just... Maybe if I spent more time..."

I was trying to find the words.

"Don't do that to yourself, Isabella. You and Tyler make just as much time for Logan as you do with Olivia. Juggling two kids can be difficult. I would know since I have four. My point is, I know it's hard to think of what you could've done differently, but now that you know, you can now find a solution."

"But Mama Kels, shouldn't I have seen the signs if something was wrong? He has been giving us more of an attitude. I thought things were straightened out after the bullying incident, but now we have this."

She nodded.

"The two of you just need to sit down and talk to Logan and see what triggered him today for him to react the way he did. It could have been something small. Has he had more of an attitude lately? Yes, I've noticed that. Then again, Logan has been a daredevil since birth, and I think he likes to see how far he can push limits before he gets in trouble. I wouldn't stress yourself over it, sweetie. You guys will work through this. You and Tyler are doing great job in raising Logan."

"That's what his teacher said," I mumbled.

"See! So while his report wasn't stars across the board, there were some positives there."

I heard footsteps and Tyler appeared. He got on the floor with Livy.

"Daddy said he'd be back, baby girl."

Livy wasted no time, crawling over to her father, climbing on his chest as he laid on his back. I quickly snapped a pic. She was truly a daddy's girl.

"Sorry if I interrupted your girl talk," he said.

His mother waved him off.

"We were just talking about Logan."

He nodded.

"Everything will be fine once we talk to him. I'm not happy with his behavior either, but if there's an issue, we're here to help him though it."

"I know, Ty. I just..."

I heard more footsteps. Logan appeared. Tyler slowly sat up and got up to hand Livy to his mom.

"I'm ready to talk now mommy and daddy."

"Come on Livy. Let's go find grandpa and get some fresh air."

She stood, kissing Logan on his forehead before going outside. Tyler motioned for Logan to sit down.

"Alright, bud. We have some things to talk about. Some good, some not so good, but mommy and I just want to talk right now. Okay?" Tyler said.

He nodded.

"So,  first, when met with Ms. Kensington today, she told us how well you've been doing in school. You're reading on a 3rd grade level. You have pretty much a perfect record in every subject.  Mommy and I are so proud of you and you should be proud, too. You did all the work."

Logan smiled.

"Thank you," he replied softly.

"Now, we do need to talk about what else she said, which was a change in your behavior. Just this morning you got spanked for pushing me. Ms. Kensington said you cursed at her and the guidance counselor. You were throwing things. We just want to hear how you're feeling so we can help. That's what mommy and I are here for, to help and guide you. Okay?"

Logan nodded once again.

"So, can you tell daddy and I what happened?" I asked.

"I was just mad this morning after I got spanked. Then on the car ride to school daddy was mad at me. He told me I knew how to behave and I better not push him again. When I got to school, all my stuff fell out my backpack. I was trying to pick it up when my friend crushed some of my things. I got moved off the carpet during reading for something I didn't even do. I tried to tell that to Ms. Kensington, but she told me to just sit in the chairs. I was mad and kicked the chair."

I could see he was getting upset all over again. I rubbed his back to comfort him.

"It's okay. We don't want you to get worked up again. What happened earlier today is over with. Daddy and I just want to hear all that went on. If you need a minute to calm down, that's fine. Remember what daddy taught you, counting to 10 and deep breathing. I know it doesn't always work, but it can help," I softly spoke.

I watched him take deep breaths. Ty grabbed his hands and counted backwards with him as I continued to rub his back.

"I just get so mad and I get in trouble. I wish I didn't. Sometimes I just can't help it," he cried.

"It's okay, buddy. We understand."

I held him on one side as Ty moved to the other. Maybe this is what he needed, to cry it out. I know every once in a while I definitely need a good cry. It's so cleansing afterward. Once he calmed himself down, he laid on my lap.

"We still have a few more questions, bud," Ty said.

"I know," Logan mumbled, sitting back up.

"Back to what happened this morning, how did you end up cursing and throwing things?" Ty quizzed.

"I threw the chair and that's when Ms. Kensington took me outside. The guidance counselor came and took me to her office. I threw the ball she handed me to squeeze to calm down. Then she said she was going to call you guys."

After hearing the story, he's just having a rough day, but we definitely need to work more on helping him learn control.

"Sounds like you're having a rough day," Ty commented.

Logan nodded. Tyler looked over at me and I gave him a nod to go ahead and say whatever he had to say.

"Mommy and I are going to find some activities that will help you learn self control. This could be karate, possibly therapy."

"Therapy?"

"Therapy is when you talk to someone else other than family. It's kind of like your guidance counselor in a way when she'll ask you guys how you're feeling. With a therapist, it's the same kind of concept. One on one sessions. Sometimes they may ask daddy or I to join, but it's all about you and how you feel. Learning more of what makes you upset and helping you deal with it," I chimed in.

"Will I get in trouble for what I say?"

Both Ty and I quickly shook our heads.

"Never. It's a safe space."

Logan nodded.

"Okay, I'll try it out."

"Mommy and I will make some calls and set that up. Is there anything right now bothering you that you want to talk about?"

"Am I going to get in trouble for cursing?"

Ty sighed.

"Logan, mommy and I have been talking to you about what's appropriate to say. Bad words are not something that should be coming out of your mouth. Better question is, where did you learn that? I know we try to be cautious with the language we use around you. Ms. Kensington gave us a list of words and there's words on there I know for a fact are not used in your presence. So, did you pick that up from your friends? Something you're watching?"

He shrugged. Tyler knew he wasn't going to fess up about it.

"Grounded for a week. No screen time. Early bedtime. No play dates with your friends."

"But..."

"I could wash your mouth out and spank you. I'd it happens again I'll do that and still ground you. I know that punishments suck, but you knew your actions today would have consequences," Ty added.

"A week will fly by before you know it," I stated.

"Are you and daddy mad at me?" he questioned, looking up at me.

"Mad, no. Upset, yes, but we can move past it. Daddy told you what your punishment was, we're going to help you with your anger, and that's that. Okay?"

"Okay."

"How about you outside in the back with your grandparents and Livy."

"I can still play?"

Tyler laughed.

"Yeah, bud. We're still going to do all our family time and one on one activities. You'd never be grounded from that."

Logan smiled and jumped up before taking off. I then head him running back. He gave Tyler a hug before giving me one.

"Thank you for listening to me."

"You're welcome, bud," Tyler commented.

He ran off again yelling love you along the way. Tyler sat next to me, wrapping his arm around me.

"Think I went to soft on him?" he asked.

"No. You already know where I stand on spankings not being necessary for every little thing he does. He's been struggling with controlling his anger for a year now. We'll do what we need to in order to help him learn to deal with it."

Before he could respond, his phone started ringing.

"Hold on."

Hello. What's going on. You did? Where at? Alright, I'm on my way. I'm not too far. Alright. Bye.

He hung up the phone and kissed my cheek, standing up.

"I'll be back soon."

I gave him a look

"Where are you going?"

"I'm meeting up with Brandon. Don't worry, I won't be too long."

"What are you not telling me, Tyler?"

"Babe, I'll be back."

He leaned down and kissed my lips.

"Love you," he said quietly.

"Yeah, love you too."

He left and I heard the front door close. I don't know what he was doing, but if it's what I think it is, it's going to be an issue when he gets back.
