The word we live in
Is dangerous waters
Rich gets richer
And poor gets poorer
The cruel laughs
As the innocent cries.
We might hate them
For living in the top
But the thing we forgot is
We would kill to be at the top
It's like a jungle here
Kill or be killed
Survival of the fittest
Like the ants we are so little
Very easy to be crushed
But forgot that
Something small can also bring chaos
Burn the kingdom down.
It's not pretty but I understand
Why the lions hunt
Being on top of the food chain
Gives you power & ignorance
We forget how we got there
All that matters is the crown
Heavy the head that wears it
But lighter the ground bellow it.
It's not unjustifiable
Just unreasonable
Why I die here
For you to devour
In the end it's all fair
In love and war as well as life.
For the social ladder you want to climb
The fame you desire
The respect you require
The money & power
All things nice
& something wicked in disguise.
