I was sitting on my bed checking some instagram posts, when my phone buzzed with the caller id
"My lovely girl"
I shot up in my bed, excited to take the call, maybe she has decided to leave Camilla, maybe she has decided to reconcile. That day she gave me the ring, it was like my heart stopped. I waited in that room for like four hours that she would come back and tell me that she can't live without me. I really will never want to interfere in her work, she is best at it. But it was for the sake of her safety.
She is a very sweet girl and expects everyone to be the same. I don't want her heart to be shattered when she realises that what she has been doing, whom she is fighting for. Once her heart get broken it won't be mended like before again.
Stopping my trail of thought I immediately answered the call.
"Hello?"
I said
"Hello??"
A panicked voice of a male answered.

I ran through the hospital's coridoor to enter the room where, Erika sat on the bed surrounded by strangers. I ran towards her, not caring about the strangers and stopped at the side of the bed and held her face and kissed her. I didn't even realise for how long I have been kissing her but immediately realised when she started pushing me away.
I pulled away and looked at her face in confusion, why would she push me away? .She was looking at me with wide eyes and her cheeks were coloured with crimson red. Her forehead had bandage wrapped on it.
She signaled me with her eyes to look back, and I turned to find all the strangers looking here and there rubbing their heads, necks in awkwardness. But there was a stranger who was not awkward and it was a grandma on a wheelchair. She suddenly beamed at me and I panicked and looked at Erika who was now looking down at the matress.
"Oh dear! He looks so cute. I bet you are one of the best couples. "
She clapped her hands and I couldn't be more embarrassed. Erika glanced at me with glaring eyes and I hung my head low. Gosh! This is so embarrassing.
"Now that she is conscious and it was a minor accident and there are no major injuries. She is discharged. You can take her home."
I nodded towards the doctor and helped her get off the bed. I turned around towards the strangers and thanked them. We were going to leave when the grandma interrupted us again.
"Oh my! You look so good together. You should have kids."
We smiled at her and rushed out.
Sitting in the car I looked at her. Or I stared at her.
"What?"
She asked.
"Stop me if you feel uncomfortable"
She didn't replied and just stared at me, I harshly pulled her by her waist and smashed my lips on hers once again. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me towards her responding to my kiss. The kiss was delicate, gentle, slow yet passionate and full of love. Roughly after a minute I pulled away and started driving the car.
"Were you drunk or something while driving.?"
Rage suddenly took over me.
"No."
She suddenly replied in annoyance. Why was she annoyed? I was worried.
I looked at her in disbelief.
"Why are you annoyed?"
"Nothing."
She replied. And I knew there was something indeed. I stopped the car at the footpath.
"Tell me."
She didn't replied.
"TELL. ME."
She turned around and looked at me.
"What tell me? You kissed me and then started driving and then started to enquire me.? Without even saying anything about the kiss."
I looked at her with an amused grin and said.
"I really craved those lips for two months and I was worried too that is why I kissed you. And I started driving because we were blocking the road and I was enquiring you because I was concerned."
She cleared her throat and looked out of the window, not saying anything.
I was going to tease her through the whole drive. I started driving the car.
"I was driving and from nowhere a car appeared and I lost my balance and hit the tree on the footpath."
Hmmm. I nodded. That could be the case a simple accident. The signal turned red and we stopped.
That's when I noticed there was an unread message on my phone. I checked it.
"It was a minor one. I hope you will not wait for the the major one.
Regards Mr. Calloway. "
My heart stopped. This not an accident. It was intentional. My thoughts were interrupted by a child's voice. I looked towards Erika to find her speaking to a child through her phone.
"Come back home early. Granny has to go. Hurry up and bring me ice cream."
She smiled saying " ok "
....
We arrived at her house to find Camilla and Ivan waiting for us. I had called Ivan before going to see Erika and that's why they came to check on Erika.
I guided Erika to sit on the couch when I noticed Mr Smith sitting on it already.
Erika left my hold and ran to him, the duo in tears.
"Dad is not still completely ok, but he pleaded to the doctor to let him rest at home. So he is here"
I heard Lily say.
"Why is everyone crying"
Ash asked hopping on the couch.
He held Erika's face in his little hands.
"I am sad that you are crying"
"Really"
She asked.
"Hmm. But can we have ice cream first"
A smile erupted on everyone's face on his innocence.
"I will serve the ice-cream "
I told them and everyone nodded.
"Why don't you help me, Camilla"
I asked.
"Huh, sure"
She replied following me to the kitchen.
I put the ice-cream pack on the kitchen counter and turned around showing Camilla the text message on my phone.
Her eyes widened and she covered her face with her hands.
"Did you see the results of your stubbornness? Enough, Camilla! Stop troubling people with you own problems. Deal with them by yourself"
Her face depicted such sadness that it gave my heart an ache. But she nodded in agreement totally denying the expression she held on her face.
I gave her the files that I found in Erika's car related to her case. She took them and silently walked away.
I looked at Camilla dusting her assignment which had ink spread all over it and it was all ruined. I approached her taking her assignment in my hand and said
"No worries, Lets get you assignment done once again."
She looked at me and snatched her assignment from my hands and said.
"Its okay. I will complete it by myself . Its my problem anyways. You go rest."
I narrowed my eyes at her and held her shoulders
"Listen, Camilla . You problem is my problem and I will solve it more efficiently than even my problem.
I wiped the lone tear and dialled the number of the one person who can surely help Camilla win the case.

We arrived with Ash at our house since,Erika is injured and can't take care of him.
I entered the house with Camilla and Ash following and walked towards my room not looking behind when a voice stopped me. .
" Are you my dad?"
