This is the short story of Ray X Anna that I've mentioned before. Now, I was really just experimenting on the change of point of view, this isn't really something unique but, I thought it was somewhat adorable. Although this is an ordinary AU, I didn't have the energy to make it too dark as TPN really is, so do expect this to be pure fluff.
(However, I do have plans to post more that isn't modern and share the truths of the house. It'll probably be angst.)
Also, do keep in mind that they're aged up here, Anna being 15 and Ray 17. They're all aged up in the past one-shots anyway...

Amidst the playful laughter present outside Grace field orphanage walked a quiet blonde within the walls of the house. Her mind was too occupied, she walked slower than usual; pondering more on the recent conversation she had with a particular raven-haired male.
Her face bloomed pink as she remembered his exact words. "Meet me at the library just before sunset, there's something I need to tell you alone." Her heart fluttered even more as her eyes glistened in happiness, day dreaming of what awaits her before sunset.
A familiar snowy-headed male was standing by the halls, eagerly waving at the young lady the moment he spotted her. To both of their surprise, Anna suddenly jerks up and stumbles upon hearing her name being called out.
"Eh? Anna, are you alright?" The boy asked, offering a hand for her to reach but was rejected and whined at the sudden appearance her friend made.
"Whe-where did you come from?" She furrowed her brows, immediately standing up and dusting off her skirt as her face frowned, feeling the sting from her bottom.
Norman merely chuckled, "what do you mean? I was standing here for quite a while, waving out to you before you perked up when I called your name."
The female blushed in embarrassment this time. Fidgeting her fingers as she started to reason out. Unfortunately, all she managed to say were jumbled words forced in a sentence that made no sense at all. It was a puzzle piece that couldn't fit in the picture.
But due to the intelligence of the young boy, he simply understood and concluded the situation. "In short, you were busy thinking about Ray." He chuckled and made poor Anna crimson even more.
He snickered, "you don't have to hide it from me you know." He reassured and patted her shoulder- in fact he was the first person to know about her feelings towards his best friend.- "So, tell me, what made you think of Ray so deeply... Again." Norman teased her, for this happened before.
Ever since she developed feelings for the emo looking boy, she's become all shy, conserve, and jittery. They were once really close as they read a lot, but now she can't even stay in the same room as him without blushing.
It would be a lie if both didn't mind the distance that further drifted apart. Anna really liked Ray, the problem was she liked him too much. She couldn't be herself around him anymore, she ends up being a cherry with zipped lips and a racing heart.
Ray on the other hand, found comfort with her presence, which is why it greatly bothered him when the female decided to avoid him. At first, he couldn't think of an answer to why her actions has become like this. But at some point, with the help of the clues Norman laid out, he realized what was going on.
He wanted to address the situation sooner, admitting that the feeling was mutual, but he can't get enough of the so-called blushy Anna. He liked how cute she could become and waited for a while. It was simple fun watching her run away all the time with flecks of red covering her face. But as the days passed, he had become impatient. He wanted, no he needed her close by him always.
Anna shares her thoughts to the older male who did nothing but acted like an older brother to her, Norman. As he supported on the idea of them becoming a couple, he advised her to take this as an opportunity to confess. "You should definitely tell him your feelings."
In contrast to Norman's enthusiasm, Anna was struck with anxiety, rejecting the idea of confessing. "I-I can't do that!" She argued and beads of sweat manage it's way to flow down her temples.
Although Ray never admitted his feelings, Norman knew he liked the young pearly haired female back. He didn't want to spoil anything to Anna so he did not reveal this truth to her. However, after what thought would last for a lifetime, he's finally convinced Anna to tell Ray the truth. Earlier she was just planning on meeting Ray and hear him out, but now she's actually practicing how to confess.
"Hey, Ray. Can I tell you so-something? I-i-like youu. Like-tsk, what did Norman call the word?" Anna was walking in circles between the shelves of the library, creating loops from her hair as she thought about it more.
She practiced even more but something didn't feel right. Maybe she should just back out? Maybe she should just hear him out?
After going around in circles for about the upteenth time, she stopped and gave off a perplexed stare at the books with a raised brow. "Dang it Ray, I love you so much look what you've done."
"What did I do?" Ray asked bluntly with his usual emotionless face. But deep down his heart was racing and he could feel warmth at his cheeks.
Anna was startled to see him and was red as a tomato which made his lips curl into a smirk. "Why are you so nervous right now?" He added with a hint of teasing and light chuckle.
"Uhm, nothing. I ju-just..." She chuckled her way out and tried to contemplate on her words but couldn't. "We-well, te-tell me what you have to-to say." She tried changing the topic.
"You first, what did I do, and why are you so nervous?" Ray asked and once again poor Anna was walking around in circles, not knowing what to answer.
Ray chuckled and halted her movements as he held onto her shoulders, asking once more. "And, did I hear you say I love you? Do you perhaps, love me?" Although it may look like he's teasing her, he genuinely wants to know.
All he heard was a baffled excuse coming from the stuttering female, trying to avoid answering the question. So, he decided to step up for her, "Idiot." His sudden comment made her avert her eyes to his as he leaned to study her features up close.
Gazing into her mesmerizing sapphire ones, a smirk formed upon the young male. He then leaned in to kiss her lips softly, making the young lady redder if that's even possible - confirming the mutual feelings they've longed to know.
Her heart leaped out if her chest at the sudden action of the boy she loved. Oh how she imagined this moment over and over again and can't seem to process she's actually living it.
"I love you too, you know." He slowly cupped her face and gave a sincere gentle smile with a light hue of red dusting his pale skin.
"Yo-you, you d-do?" She once stuttered again, still flustered with everything that's been going on.
He rolled his eyes at her response, realizing how oblivious she was after all that he just did. In which he can't help but chuckle, of course, "Idiot." He mumbles loud enough for her to hear.
The boy saw how adorable she was. The glistening soft smile he pondered the most about was present, her azure hues that glowed, and her hair slightly ruffled just made her even more beautiful.
The beautiful girl in front of him is what he yearned to call his. Now, he actually can, "My idiot..."
At that, the young lady couldn't help but smile brighter. Her heart was just filled with pure bliss. Her crush just accepted her feelings, again, he actually accepted them. She couldn't help but stare at awe at the slight blush that was visible in front of her.
Unknowingly, a certain cerulean blue eyed male made his way to the library as well. Although he wasn't able to hear both of their confessions, he was able to catch on to what was happening the moment Ray called (y/n) "my idiot."
He silently chuckled as he watched the scene unfold, knowing his presence was yet to be discovered. Luckily, Ray's camera was nearby, at a table which he slyly got to take a picture of the moment.
"Did you just call me your idiot?" She asked with a smile unaware it would be interpreted as a tease to the teenager's ears.
He simply scoffed, "Well aren't you?" he replied and was only surprised as she moved away his bangs from his face and slightly pinched his cheek, enthusiastically nodding in agreement, in which he chuckled.
"But..." She answered as her lips curled into a small pout looking down for a second.
The raven-haired boy raised a brow at her reply. She paused for a moment which caused him to become impatient. "But what?" He tilts her chin up, letting their eyes to meet and nose touch.
"Instead of adding the idiot, I'd prefer if you just called me mine..." She whispered shyly but Ray could hear it clearly.
He snickered teasingly, sending the young lady to furrow her brows. "Now what's the fun in that? I like it that way, 'my idiot'." He repeated.
She huffed, causing some of her bangs to be blown up slightly. This only caused the young boy to fall in love even more. She was too adorable, she shouldn't keep attacking his heart with such cute gestures.
"Fine, whatever..." She mumbled and pouted. Making Ray just chuckle louder and tempted to lean in.
"Hey, do you know what happens to girls who pout?" He asked in which Anna was left dumbfounded of what it meant. Norman's eyes widened as big as a saucepan. He was shocked to see his best friend so bold to make such a move in such a bland manner. Of course this also meant it was his cue to get ready.
"I'll show you then." Ray once again connect his lips into hers. Just when she understands and finally took the courage to kiss back, a shudder of light flashes.
Click! Says the camera and a chuckle was heard from the sly snowy haired boy and they both pulled away.
"Finally!" The boy cheered at his accomplishment at capturing the sweet moment. Aware of the death glares Ray was sending his way, he excused himself.
"E-he, I'll leave you two now..." The albino rushed outside before Ray could even catch up to him.
Ray shrugged and faced Anna who was a blushing mess but managed to let out a sincere laugh at the situation they're both in.
"Are you laughing?" He asked, amused at her expressions, showing that her shyness somewhat faded for a moment.
"Who wouldn't?" She shot back at him and intertwined her fingers in his.
A small smile formed from the corner of his lips, "Well, I won't argue with that." He laughed with her. They both walked down the hallway hand in hand, although the walk was silent, it was a moment they both dreamed of and was satisfied to actually live it.
