He waited for another hour.
And another.
Till the nurse had said that visiting hours were over. He should have left, should have gone and gotten a nights worth of sleep- but he didn't. He sat in that chair, in and out of consciousness, till the morning came and visitors were welcome.
He jumped when the nurse addressed him, half way asleep and falling into a spiral. He stood quickly, rushing to the room he'd been told. He stepped in the door after brushing some of the wrinkles off his clothes, his palms sweaty as he noticed and addressed the doctor.
He's in bad shape, she'd said. He might not wake up for a while, he's fallen into a coma-
there's really nothing we could have done.
N felt his heart shatter. Techno wouldn't wake up? After years of always waking up together, being together, occasionally steaming together- N wouldn't wake up with Techno for who knows how long, wouldn't kiss him goodbye in the morning before work, wouldn't have a Techno breakfast special.
Who knows if Techno would even wake up again?
He cried.
