IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE ALEXANDER ASKED MICHELLE TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND. To save you the worry of wondering what her reply was, it was a yes... Days and weeks had passed by and they had grown very close to each other, she spent her time on his chat, and at night she would sacrifice her sleep and talk to him when nobody noticed.

{ALARM BLARING}
"Shit! Today is Saturday, what's the need for an alarm, Rachael?" Michelle groaned, pushing her sister who is still fast asleep beside her.
"Alright get up, house chores time!"The doors opened wide, and Mrs Adams walked in, spreading the curtains open and permitting the sunlight to creep into the room. Michelle sat up immediately, staring outside the glowing glass window, she picked up her phone, expecting a text from Alex but to her greatest dismay, he hadn't sent her a warm 'Good morning text', this was strange to her, she thought, "Unlike him, he never forgets to send his love and kisses to me." She debated for a while if it was wise for her to text him and see what the issue was.
Rachael groaned behind her. "Always on your phone!" It was more like a compliment to her than an issue. She tossed her phone to the side, dissenting to text him first but immediately she grabbed her phone, as soon as her sister stepped out of the room and swiped a
MICHELLE~"Hi! Good Morning, Babe 💓, How was your night?😘," <7:35 AM>
She went through the text five times before deciding to hit the send button. She stared at the screen for 10 minutes, but he didn't reply yet, she was beginning to worry, so Michelle faced her phone down and took a deep breath and thought.
"What if he is still asleep?"
~"No dimwit, the message has two blue ticks." She slapped her head dramatically.
~" Or what if, he is busy?" She shook off the thoughts of him cheating on her, Staring back at the phone screen, he hasn't replied yet, she slid her phone under the pillow and went to the bathroom for a morning bath.
Three hours, bygone, and Michelle checked her phone and still saw no text from him, she frustratedly archived his chat. She counted up to 100 and checked the archived box and saw his chats pop up.
"Finally!" She exhaled, hurriedly clicked his chats and read his message.
ALEX~"Hey Baby 😥.
I am sorry for the late reply, had to rush my mother to the hospital this morning.😞"<11:10AM>
Michelle felt heartbroken at the sad news, she felt worried and concerned for the poor woman.
MICHELLE~"I am so sorry, Babe 🥺🥺 <11:11 AM>
Hope she is better now. I will be praying for her quick recovery." Michelle said the only thing she could at that time. There was a long pause, Alex didn't chat with her for a while before sending her his reply.
ALEX~"Thank you... Babe, can I ask you for a favour?"<11:35 AM>
Michelle stared at his text and thought of what favour he meant.
MICHELLE~"Yeah!"<11:35 AM.>
ALEX~"Please can you send me 10k, please? I want to use the money to buy drugs for my mother."< 11:40 AM>. Michelle's face turned into a frown. She wasn't sad because he asked, but because she didn't have the money he requested for.
MICHELLE~"Alex! I,...I don't have that amount of money..., I don't even have money.😟😟"<11:43 AM>. She prayed that he would understand what she meant but she thought so highly of him.
ALEX~ "Even as rich as you are, you can't even help me with 10k to buy my mom's drug, anyway, I will look for how to get the money...Take care👋🏾" <12:00 PM>
Michelle couldn't reply to his message because he had gone offline, not wanting to talk to her because she couldn't provide what he asked for.
Michelle sank to the floor in tears, sending him a long message, explaining and apologizing.
MICHELLE~"Alexander!😭😭😭😭😭😭 I am so sorry, I couldn't provide the money at the moment, I didn't know an unexpected event like this would happen, please! 😭Give me another chance, and I will get half the amount you requested, i don't want anything to happen to your mother, please forgive me😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I pray for a quick recovery to your mom😟" <12:30 pm>
Every hour that ticked on the clock, Michelle would send a message to him, waiting on his reply.
MICHELLE~"Alex are you there?"< 12:35 PM>
"Please talk to me,...let's talk about it."< 12:36 PM>
"Alex please don't leave me like this,..."< 12:37 PM>
"I love you and please stay safe.❤💓" <12:38PM>
Michelle finally gave up and dropped her phone, picking up a novel to read, just to take her mind off Alex and his mom. She fell asleep at the thought of how long they had been together, it's been two months and she had fallen so deeply in love with him. She imagined what their first meeting will be like and what their conversations will be about, Her thought drifted to Noah and his words of love and affection before she closed her eyes to sleep.

ALEX~"Hi Michelle ❤,
I am back, I was just out for a while, with some friends and I got money for my mom's drugs. That's a long story but anyway, how was your day?" <2:01 AM>
Michelle rolled over to the other side of the bed when she saw her phone light up the dark room. She smiled when she saw his name pop up on her screen.
MICHELLE~ "Hey Babe😚, Oh, How did you get the money for the drugs? I do hope you didn't stress yourself too much today. I was so scared when you didn't reply to my text and pick up my calls, so I thought you were busy." <2:02 AM>
ALEX~ "You don't need to worry about me, I am fine... Anyway, to cut the long story short, I got the money from Rusty, she is a friend in my neighbourhood, she offered me the money only if I have sex with her for two hours and that was it... easy! and I am happy that my mom is better now, and my mother is as where happy too" <2:02 AM>
Michelle's heart squeezed, sulking all the air inside her lungs when she read his text, she couldn't believe him, she didn't think of his words.
"Did he just throw 2 months away for money and sex or is he joking? He didn't mean what he said, right?" She asked herself dolefully.
MICHELLE~ "Hmmm, ok... Why did you choose to have sex with her, when you could ask your other friends for the money?"<2:04 AM>
Michelle's hands were shaking when she typed those text and sent it.
ALEX~ "Did you help me when I needed you? No! That's what I thought, so drop these questions, forget about it and let's chat like a couple."<2:04 AM>
Michelle sighed at his text and did as he said, forgetting about what had happened, she thought he did the right thing, he wasn't at fault, she blamed herself for not helping him sooner and letting go of him to lay with another girl just to solve his problems.
ALEX~ "Michelle, Baby😍, My caramel😘, My ride or die😚, I love you, just know that and never overthink about it, because my love for you is unshakable... Tell me you love me too" < 2:07 AM>
He used the nickname he gave her, whenever she was behaving childish and cute.
Michelle stared at his text message blushing and thought she made a big mistake about the Sex argument earlier, she giggled quietly.
MICHELLE~"I love you Chocloate🥰🥰..." <2:10AM>
She used the nickname she gave him, she thought of how their argument between them started and her smile faded away.
MICHELLE~ "Alex, can I as you a question?" < 2:11 AM>
ALEX~" Sure! What's the question?" < 2:11 AM>
Michelle took a deep breath and typed her question.
MICHELLE~"What really happened to your mom and what about your father?" < 2:13 AM>
She hesitated before hitting the send button, she was scared of how he would react to her question.
ALEX~ "She slumped because of high blood pressure while cooking this morning... The doctor said she should rest and take her pills after every meal in the morning. My father died six years ago, alongside my elder brother. They were involved in a car accident in 2015, so it's just my mother and me 🙂" < 2:18 AM>
Michelle's heart clenched when she read his text, she didn't know he had gone through a lot in his childhood, suffering the loss of people close to him. Michelle thought of the privilege she had, Her parents and siblings are alive and healthy, and she felt so bad about his story and felt sad, especially for his mother.
MICHELLE~ "I am so sorry Alex, I didn't know you went through that when you were little, God will protect your mother and keep her alive to watch you grow."< 2:19 AM>
Michelle smiled at her comforting words. She was known for her kind heart and comforting words.
ALEX~ "Thank you, babe.🥺💗
what did you have for dinner?" < 2:20 AM>
MICHELLE~ "Well, honestly I didn't eat anything,...not hungry, kind of lost my appetite, what about you?" Michelle grinned, enjoying their conversation.
ALEX~ "Rice and stew, nothing much..., Babe you have to eat something, at least for my sake, okay🥺" < 2:20 AM>
Michelle laughed at the emoji and replied to his message.
MICHELLE~ "Okay, I will eat, only because you said I should." <2:21AM> Michelle smiled .
ALEX~ "💓
I feel sleepy, talk to you later,...love you and sweet dreams.😘" <2:21AM>
Michelle blushed "Love you too. Goodnight Babe and sweet dreams❤" <2:22AM>
She stared at the time before switching off her phone. Her sister lay beside her fast asleep and unaware of Michelle's movement. She watched the ceilings quietly and dreamed of the day, Alex would meet her in person and show their real love and affection towards each other.
[DOOR CREAKS OPEN]
Michelle shut her eyes firmly soon as she heard her father walk out of his room, she had to pretend she was asleep or she would face the consequences at dawn. Michelle blushed for the last time that night thinking and dreaming of Alex as the darkness enveloped her into a peaceful sleep.
