darcy has never been one to stay silent & stay on the sidelines, the brunette prefers active participation. she's a doer and enjoys having things to do, constantly. this comes in handy during rehearsals for her figure skating shows, in which she shares her opinions & criticisms on the choreography. darcy loves being involved in the process, and is known to become engrossed with the tasks at hand, whether that is making amendments to choreography, or simply cooking a meal after a long day of rehearsals. she can be pushy when needed, and assertive if she feels as though what she has to say can contribute to a discussion and can change the course that it is travelling in. whilst not necessarily blunt to the point it's unnecessary and aggressive, the brunette will make sure she is heard. darcy isnt one to back up into a corner, especially when it comes to something she is passionate about, such as her job.
whilst darcy typically remains open minded on topics, enjoying big debates & getting into detail when it comes to discussing certain topics. there are issues and ideas that she'll support & defend regardless, which ties into her assertiveness. darcy isn't aggressive, but situations alter her mood accordingly. she's dainty and gentle, preferring to keep an open mind on developing issues & definitely isn't hasty when it comes to making decisions. a good decision requires time and in depth thinking. rushing leads to regrets and more often than not, darcy ends up regretting her spur in the moment decisions — she's had her fair share of those — rational thinking has a far better consequences than a spur of the moment decision does — or at least she assumes so. she's gotten so far in life by making rational decisions, why give that all up? darcy's worked too hard in order to get to where she is, anything irrational — anything where the consequences aren't known, is a huge no for her.
unable to contain her excitement, the brunette is a ball of happiness & joy, ready to burst and share her emotions. as a hyperactive young child, she needed somewhere to focus all this energy, which is where dance and other extracurricular activities came into play. constantly fuelled with adrenaline, sports gave her a place to channel all that energy. it was competitive and darcy was always over the moon when complimented, or when she won a mini game. little to nothing has changed when it comes to her energy. darcy still thrives off of compliments, especially because it means she's done something good, which is important in her current field of work. with high stakes and fierce competition, darcy ensures that she channels most of her energy into training. having recently graduated, thankfully assignments don't take up any of her time allowing darcy to focus on the thing that she is most passionate about — figure skating.

born into an affluent family, darcy's father coached sports at a private school, whilst her mother ran her own company. her father was always known for his rough, competitive qualities, and her mother for her dainty & glass-like features, in a sense, darcy took after both parents. being the youngest out of five children, darcy inherited her mothers daintiness and delicacy, which proved to be useful when it came to dance and figure skating — whilst inheriting her fathers competitiveness. her parents gave her a good life, despite their constant arguments, and darcy is grateful for that. growing up, darcy was an average pupil. she didn't know how to balance everything. taking on extracurriculars like dance, ice hockey and a tutoring gig on the side to make some extra money. it was just a couple months before her sixteenth birthday that she realised she could combine her two favourite sports together — from there began her journey to become a professional figure skater.
once learning that figure skating was an actual profession, darcy immediately knew what she wanted to do in the future. perhaps coach sports, such as ice hockey, on the side — if she managed to land a figure skating gig. it wasn't a popular idea, or even one which was considered by a multitude of people, which thankfully decreased competition. darcy trained rigorously, whilst most figure skaters began skating at a young age, she was disadvantaged by her late start. nevertheless, she didn't allow that to interfere with her dreams, she had one goal, and that was to make it as a professional figure skater. the rest she could figure out along the way. deciding to study sport & exercise science at college, darcy was practically set. with a backup job to fall back on in case her dream life failed, the female felt more confident than ever. darcy knew she could do it, and with parental support, her confidence always grew. besides, one had to be confident when entering a competitive world of sports, right? instructor after instructor, darcy made sure she knew everything she could be taught. from the basic manoeuvres to advanced tricks. in fact, darcy met her current boyfriend through one of her instructors. she must've been at least twenty, when her instructor introduced the two — introducing her son to darcy as she trained the two together.
it was pretty much a whirlwind romance from there on, but not all relationships are pretty, sunshine and rainbows. what started off as a caring and honest relationship quickly turned sour just over a year into the relationship. although the issue of being in a committed relationship with someone is that you become blind to their faults — as darcy is. her relationship with her boyfriend, christian, grew toxic and became verbally abusive with her boyfriend manipulating darcy through interactions, verbally warning and threatening her. it does not help matters that her boyfriend is a figure skater, so the two spend a lot of time around one another. putting on a fake, caring & loving facade around others, it quickly comes undone when the two are alone. whilst her boyfriend isn't physically aggressive, his patronising and manipulative ways are enough to demonstrate the toxicity of the relationship. now twenty two, having dated her boyfriend for two years and with enough professional experience, darcy aims to spread her wings — under her boyfriend's strict & controlling ruling — hopefully being able to participate in competitions and ascend through ranks.
