Namjoon POV:

"Ahh... finally." I flopped down on the sofa in our apartment, my exaggerated groan making everyone laugh as they found their own spots around the room. I had enjoyed the traveling and watching Y/N interact with the other members' families, but after so long of traveling for the tour, it was nice to finally be home again, to be back in our own space. We had left for Gwanju only a few days after Y/N arrived so it didn't give us a whole lot of time with Y/N at home. Being here at home for a few days would be nice.

Y/N sat next to me, and when I hesitantly put an arm around her, she willingly moved closer, snuggling into my side and making my heart flutter with the love I was feeling for her, the words sitting on the tip of my tongue, words that I was still too nervous to say. At least for the moment. "Are you excited to see your family?"

Nodding my head, I couldn't stop the silly grin that spread across my face. It had been several months since I had seen them and I was looking forward to seeing my parents and Kyung Min, my sister. "Yeah. I miss them. I do see them more often since they live here in Seoul, but I haven't seen them since we left for tour so I am definitely happy to get to spend a little bit of time with them." I was quiet for a moment before continuing. "Are you nervous to meet them?"

"A little." I felt her move almost imperceptibly closer and I tightened my arm around her, knowing she needed my comfort, needed my reassurance that everything was going to be all right. "I just... I want your families to like me. It's important to me."

Touched by her words, I gave her an encouraging smile. "Don't worry sweetheart. My family is going to love you just like everyone else has."

"Hyung is right Baby Bear." Jungkook plopped down on the sofa next to Y/N, reaching out for her hand, one she willingly gave him. "His family is going to adore you just like the rest of ours. They see how happy you make us and that is what is important to them. So don't be nervous."

Y/N hesitated then nodded. "Okay. I'll try not to freak out too much." I laughed at her words and she winked at me. "Um... where are we meeting them?"

"At Ashley Queens. It's a restaurant at Seorak Beach and then I thought we could go to I SEOUL U in Yeoui-dong. It's just a cute little picture spot." I knew the idea sounded a little cheesy, but it was a pretty spot that overlooked the river and I thought Y/N might like to see it.

"Sounds like it will be fun." Relieved by her words at my choice of activities, I just pulled her in closer and enjoyed the time with my soulmate, my time with the woman who owned my heart.

Later that evening, I lay in the bed next to Y/N. Usually Yoongi or Jimin would be in here with her, but I had beaten them to it earlier, asking her if I could sleep with her. She had automatically agreed and I had sent the others a triumphant smile. Jimin had pouted for a moment, but from the hint of mischief in his eyes, I knew he wasn't really bothered by it. It put me at ease to know that but I also knew it was one of the things we had to work around, one of the things we had to get used to.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Y/N's voice was gentle and I pulled myself out of my thoughts.

"Nothing much. Just happy that I get to be with you tonight. I thought I was going to have to fight Jimin-ah for a moment." Y/N giggled at my words and the light sound made my heart flutter. I loved seeing her so happy and I knew it was something I wanted to see for the rest of my life, something I would do everything I could to make sure it happened.

"He really does like coming in here, doesn't he?"

"Clearly. Does it bother you?"

Y/N shook her head immediately. "Not at all. I love it. Snuggling with my soulmates is amazing."

I let out the breath I didn't know I had been holding, a sense of relief flooding over me. Slipping an arm around her waist, I tugged her closer. "Well I definitely like snuggling with my soulmate." Y/N's eyes were on my face and I watched them dart down to my lips and back and I knew exactly what she wanted. "I'm going to kiss you now."

"Please."

That one whispered word was all I needed and I captured her lips with mine, the fireworks exploding at the first kiss with my soulmate. Her lips were soft and sweet, so perfect that I didn't know how I was ever going to stop. Our lips moved together in sync as we slowly learned each other. Pecking her lips one more time, I pulled back, watching her eyes slowly open.

"I love you." The whispered words were soft, almost silent and for a moment, I wondered if I had been hearing things, but then her hand came up to cup my cheek, her fingers gently stroking it. "I love you." This time there was no denying it and I felt my heart flip over in my chest.

"I love you too. So very much." The last of the worries I had been feeling completely vanished and I let myself feel, let myself love, and let myself be open to this relationship and the happiness I knew would come along with it.

***

"Oh god." The words were soft, whispered, but I could hear them as we pulled up in front of Ashley Queens, the restaurant we had agreed to meet at. Y/N's hand tightened in mine and I could feel the slight trembling of her fingers, the only outward sign of her nervousness.

"It's going to be alright sweetheart." I tried to reassure, knowing that my parents were looking forward to meeting her. My mother had liked Amihan but when I explained that we had both met our soulmates, my mother understood about it all, telling me that things happen for a reason. It had helped to ease some of my nervousness and I knew that they were going to be happy for me, accept my soulmate, the woman who I loved with everything I had.

"Don't worry love. Kyung Min is very nice. You will get along great with her." Jimin's voice from the other side of Y/N was just as reassuring and I saw him reach over and take her other hand. "She will be excited to meet you. Remember she's had to deal with Namjoon-hyung all this time. No other girls."

Shaking my head at Jimin's words, I gave Y/N a smile. "Jimin-ah's right. It's going to be just fine."

Y/N nodded and with a final squeeze of her hand, I released it to open the door of the car and step out. Turning around, I offered her my hand and she stepped out behind me, clinging tightly to my fingers. I led her into the restaurant, the other members following behind us. The manager led us to the private room we had reserved and I saw my family already seated, waiting our arrival. They stood up as we entered and I made my way towards them.

Stopping in front of my parents, I released Y/N's hand and reached out to shake my father's hand then hugged my mother. "Momma? This is my soulmate. This is Y/N."

My mother studied Y/N for a moment, just long enough to make me nervous before she smiled. "It is nice to finally meet you. Namjoon-ah talks of nothing else."

Y/N returned the smile then bowed, her mannerisms polite and respectful, showing honor to the Korean culture, something that made me proud. "It's an honor to meet you. You have a wonderful son."

"Yes. I do, don't I?" My mother laughed at her own comment and I felt the tension fading away.

My sister approached and I hugged her as well then ruffled her hair, making her swat at my hand in protest. "How are you? How's work going?" Kyung Min had graduated college last year after majoring in art and had been hired to a company shortly after.

"It is going well. How was the tour?" Kyung Min's voice was curious, but from the ways her eyes darted over to my soulmate, I knew she was more interested in meeting the woman at my side than hearing about the concerts.

"It was great." Giving Y/N's hand a gentle tug, I pulled her closer in. "Y/N? This is my sister, Kyung Min."

Kyung Min studied her for a moment similar to my mother and I could feel the nerves start to take over again, but then she grinned. "Finally another woman around."

Y/N laughed and I could see the nervousness fade. "It is very nice to meet you."

Kyung Min flipped her hair over her shoulder and moved closer to Y/N, whispering almost conspiratorially. "How are you handling my brother and his members? They drive you crazy, no?"

"Nah." Y/N shook her head. "Well maybe a little, but they have been very good to me. Making me feel at home."

"Yes. They are good people. Very nice." Kyung Min turned to me and from the supportive smile on her face, I knew that the relationship between her and Y/N would be just fine, that my sister was showing me she approved of my soulmate, the woman who owned my heart.

***

"Come on Y/N. Just one more photo." I pointed to the letters behind her, the I SEOUL U sign that overlooked the river. After a very successful lunch, we had driven over here to take photos. From the way Y/N ducked her head, I knew my insistence at taking her photo was making her shy, but she gave in to me, giving me a sweet smile. I pulled her in close and snapped a picture of us together, one of many that we would take, that we would use to document our life together.

"Feels good, doesn't it hyung?" I turned to see Taehyung standing next to me, his eyes on Y/N and Kyung Min who were taking selfies with each other by the sign. "To see them love her like they do?"

I nodded my head in agreement. "It sure does. I was a little nervous about it all especially since my father is so traditional but they love her." I watched Y/N say something to Kyung Min that made her laugh then throw an arm around the other woman. It was amazing to see how they interacted as though they had known each other for years. It helped me see that this was just one obstacle that we didn't have to worry about

As I watched Y/n interact with my sister and the rest of my family, along with the other members, I couldn't help but think how well the lunch had gone. It was clear to see that my parents had adored her, asking her questions about her family and her job, my mother cooing over the pictures of Freyja on Y/N's phone, and insisting that she call her to get lunch or go shopping. It made me feel good to know that my family had so easily accepted her, bringing her into our family like she was one of their own.

It was a huge weight off of my shoulders to know that all the meetings had gone well. I knew as a soulmate group, along with still being a major idol group, we were going to run into troubles along the way, issues that would make life much more challenging and stressful. However, knowing our families approved of our beautiful soulmate, that was one less thing we had to worry about.

Taehyung POV:

Later that evening, I sat in the living room with my soulmate, along with the other members as we talked about the last several days. Y/N was seated between Yoongi and Jimin, her head leaning on Yoongi's shoulder. His arm was around her and I could see his fingers threading through her pretty hair, making her sigh in delight at the soothing sensation. Jimin was holding her other hand, rubbing her fingers with his, a happy smile on his face at this opportunity of happiness and love that he always wanted to have, wanted to experience, something he had always longed for.

"Do you have some kind of magical powers Baby Bear?" Jungkook's voice was filled with amusement as he spoke and we all laughed at his silly question, but I knew we all were wondering the same thing. Coming from traditional Korean families, the ideas of soulmates and marrying someone from outside our culture, although not condemned, was not common. It was more common for Korean men to marry Korean women. Not only was Y/N our soulmate, but she was also an American, something that I had to admit I was surprised had been so easily accepted, showing me that our families were a little more open-minded than I had originally assumed.

"What?" Y/N's voice was confused, a surprised laugh escaping her lips, as she lifted her head off of Yoongi's shoulder.

Jungkook grinned and moved to sit on the floor by her feet, resting his chin on her knees. She lifted a hand and carded it through his hair, making his eyes close for a moment before they opened and focused on her. "I just meant because our families loved you so much. They all completely adored you."

Y/N let out a sigh of relief then shook her head. "Of course not. They... they were just so nice and kind to me."

"My sister adores you!" Namjoon's voice was filled with certainty and both Hoseok and I nodded in agreement, knowing our sisters felt the same way. I had loved seeing Y/N with my sister, watching her come out of her shell. I had found out that they had been messaging each other over the last few days, further cementing their friendship and it made me feel good to know my sister had someone in her life that she was able to trust so easily, someone that she had let in so quickly. I knew it would help her overcome her inability to easily trust and it was a relief.

"The meetings did go well and I'm really glad about it." Hoseok looked happy and I knew exactly how he was feeling since I was in the same position, since we all were. There were nods and sounds of agreement, all of us feeling lucky that our families had accepted our soulmate so easily, so quickly.

The only dark spot in this all was Jin. We all knew he was unhappy with Mi-suk, aching to get out of the relationship, out of the engagement, but without him speaking up and saving himself, there was no way for us to save him. He had to make the first move and I wished he would. If the situation ended badly, we would all be there for him, to support him, to hold him up if he needed, just like he had done for us. However, as long as he insisted on marrying Mi-suk, there was nothing we could do.

There was no doubt in my mind that he was Y/N's soulmate, along with the rest of us, but I didn't know how to help him. I didn't know how Y/N was feeling about the whole situation, since she had to know that he was her soulmate. I wanted to ask her about it, let her know that I was there for her if she needed me, but I also knew that I would love her enough for both Jin and me.

***

The next morning came quickly and when I woke up, Y/N and Jungkook were already in the kitchen making breakfast for everyone, laughing and teasing each other as they worked. Jungkook had his arms around her waist and I could see him kissing her neck, making her giggle. "Oh? Someone finally snuck in your room before Jimin-ah and Yoongi-hyung?"

Y/N turned at my words, a shy smile crossing her face. "Good morning Tae."

"Morning Princess. How did you sleep?" Moving to her side, I held out my arms to her, grinning when Jungkook pouted as he released her. Pulling her into a hug, I kissed her cheek, smiling to myself when she shivered in my arms. It was good to know I was able to elicit some type of reaction in her when I touched her. It made me feel good to know that she was attracted to me and I knew I couldn't wait until we took our relationship to that next step, that next level.

"Mmm... good. No one warned me that Jungkook snores." Y/N's giggle was soft and I couldn't help but laugh along with her. She turned to look at him and I laughed louder at the look of betrayal on his face.

"Hey!" Jungkook sounded indignant, hands on his hips, but I could tell from the twinkle in his eye, from the smile that pulled up the corner of his lips that he was far from angry with her.

I shrugged. "Yeah. I know. I woke up a couple of times to him snoring so loudly, I thought the room was going to cave in." Y/N and I laughed together, the bright sound filling the kitchen.

"Oh just wait until you sleep with Taehyungie. He likes to wrap around you and hang on like a vine. You won't even be able to move." Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest, a smirk on his face.

"He's not lying. Taehyungie does like to do that." We turned at the sound of Jimin's voice. He was leaning up against the doorframe, a smile on his still sleepy face. He rubbed his eyes and came further into the kitchen, stealing Y/N from my arms. "Come here and give me a hug love. I had to sleep by myself last night."

Y/N pecked my cheek before moving towards Jimin. She wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a hug before kissing his cheek softly like she had done with me. "Good morning Jimin."

"Mmm... much better. I like having you in my arms." Jimin's confession was soft, gentle and I could see the flush on his cheeks. "I love you."

"I love you too." The words were whispered back, easily coming from Y/N's lips and I could tell from the way Jimin's smile grew that those words meant everything to him, just like they meant everything to me.

***

"I'm glad we got to do this." I pulled out the chair for Y/N at the coffee shop then set her drink down in front of her. Knowing we would get a lot of attention for going out all together, we had decided to keep our outings with Y/N down to one or two of us at a time. I was lucky enough this time to get her completely to myself. Except for the ride at the amusement park and the cable car, I hadn't really had much time with her alone so I was really looking forward to this.

"Me too." Y/N gave me a bright smile as I sat down next to her at the table. We were in a back corner at the almost empty coffee shop. With my hat and mask on, I hadn't been recognized yet so it made it nice. It helped me to feel normal, like I was just a regular guy going on a sweet coffee date with the love of my life.

As we drank our coffee, we sat there making small talk, reliving memories from Jeju and the meetings with our families. Y/N told me about the messages she had been exchanging with my sister and I felt a flutter in my chest as I heard the fondness in her voice, clear evidence that she really did like the other woman. The conversation had just switched to what our plans were for the next couple of weeks when a voice I hadn't heard in months filled the air, causing me to flinch in both surprise and disgust.

"Taehyung-ah? Is that you?" Soomin's voice was full of both shock and anger and when I turned, I could see the anger in her eyes. "What the hell? I haven't talked to you or seen you in months and the first time I do, you are with another woman? Want to explain to me what is going on?"

"Soomin." I tried to keep my voice polite, but I knew it wasn't going to last. "I don't owe you any explanation. We are broken up and have been for a while."

Soomin let out an unattractive snort at my words. "Is this the reason you broke up with me? Another woman? Are you serious? Who the hell is she?"

My heart stopped in my chest at her words and all I could think was that Y/N would never trust me again after this, that she would think I was seeing someone else at the same time as her, that she wouldn't be able to believe in me. I tried to shield Y/N as best as I could, not wanting to subject her to the nastiness that was Soomin. "I do not owe you anything and I do not wish to be bothered. Please leave us alone."

Soomin went to speak again, but seemed to think better of it. She sent me a smirk, one I didn't trust then turned around and stalked out of the coffee shop, her overpriced perfume leaving a cloud behind her. I turned to Y/N and went to speak, but my sweet, caring, compassionate soulmate just took my hand and gave me a reassuring smile. "Tae? You don't have to say anything, explain anything to me. It's all right. I promise you. I trust you."

Y/N's words helped to ease the fist of fear that had gripped a hold of my heart, releasing it from its clutches and letting me know that things would be okay. To know I had my soulmate's trust? That she believed me? It meant everything to me and helped me fall in love with her just a little bit more.
