Izuku's pov
After my... monologue, Aizawa meandered his way into the dorms. He looked less tired than usual, plus there was a bruise on his neck. Weird, I didn't think he fought anyone today. "Izuku, Kirishima, Kaminari" The hero started "Yes? sir?" Denks asked as the three of us stood up. "A few third years want to talk to you tomorrow, One of them is particularly eccentric so i thought I'd warn you" Aizawa explained. Mirio must want to talk to one of us.
Me and Mirio fought the weekend after my first week in the hero course. Turns out he wasn't as strong as I believed. Don't get me wrong, he could probably beat All Might in a fight. He did have a small issue though, He couldn't use his strength power and permeation at the same time. It was clear when this happened since while using his strength, he would emanate some weird-looking blue lightning from his eyes.
"Wait, are you serious?" Red questioned "Why would I lie? I'm not awake enough to care about lying" Aizawa muttered while walking out the front door of the dorms "Woah... You guys got scouted." Todoroki muttered. "how are we gonna wait till tomorrow with that news drop?" Kaminari questioned "I don't know man" Kirishima replied while pacing "We could just go now?" I suggested. The two stared at me in disbelief "Yeah, the third-year dorms are like a five-minute walk away. We can find out who wants us if we go to 3-As dorm" I suggested
Of course, Red and Denks jumped at the idea and dragged me out of the dorms towards Class 3-A's. Eventually, I got my own footing and we walked in unison. If I were to guess, I think it's the big three who want to see us. Mirio did make some mention to us interacting more after our fight. Once we reached the building, a student standing outside the front door clearly noticed us and walked over to us. "Who are you?" He questioned suspiciously. Once he saw Kaminari, you could see his hair stand on end "You're the Fulminokinetic from 1-A. I thought you would be able to wait" He mused while tugging his hair down.
"Cyborg boy, Mirio wants to talk to you and he's in 3-B, so shoo," The white-haired boy said while flicking his wrist at me "I'll see you guys later" I muttered. I was annoyed at the student but chose to move on to avoid messing up his and Denk's first interaction. I received a wave from Red as he ran into the dorms behind Denks and the white-haired boy
I made my way towards the next building swiftly. As I approached the door, I saw Mirio rushing towards it with a suitcase in his hand. He phased through the entrance and bumped straight into me "WAH?!" He shouted as we fell into a mess on the floor. "Izuku? What are you doing here?" Mirio questioned while picking himself off the floor. He offered me his hand and tugged me off the ground "Thanks. Mr Aizawa said you wanted to talk and... Well the others got impatient" I explained
"Ah, well you're timing is impeccable. You can just come with me now" Mirio smiled as he grabbed my robotic hand "We're gonna have to hurry though, I'm late and Sir hates that" He added while entering an incredibly fast sprint towards my dorm "Get your hero suit" He instructed. I nodded and ran inside. I grabbed my gear off my workbench and began putting it on as I rushed back to the third year.
"That was quick" He observed. I simply nodded in reply "You doing all right?" Mirio questioned. I once again only nodded. "If you say so. Anyway, we gotta go downtown. Be there in ten minutes" Mirio requested before speeding off. Does he ever stop? I shook my head and launched my way towards downtown. Wait... Mirio never told me where we were going. I groaned while grappling between buildings. I shut my natural eye and tried to find Mirio in the crowds of people flocking the streets.
Only once I got downtown, did I see Mirio. He was standing outside the Nighteye agency. Why does he want me to meet Sir Nighteye? I don't see what one of All Might's ex-sidekicks would want with me. Well, I guess David Shield was kinda interested in my tech. Either way, I dropped in front of Mirio "three minutes early, nice" He muttered "Let's go in" He added while walking through the building's tall doors.
After presenting his ID, Mirio and I were let go upstairs. The walk up spiral staircase to the fifth floor was long and awkward. Mirio clearly knew I was lying about being alright but he still kept on a smile. He's like All Might in that regard. "Now, if you want to make a good impression, make him laugh" Mirio advised "Why am I here Mirio?" I asked. The student turned to me and looked at me weirdly "It's about a work-study, didn't you say Mr Aizawa told you?" He questioned "Well, he said that a third year wanted to talk to me. I assumed it was you because you said that we would be seeing each other more after our fight." I rambled
"Ah, Hey, Mr Aizawa is far from perfect. Very far from perfect" Mirio commented while shrugging. We re-entered silence as we got to the fifth floor "Ah LeMillion, welcome, Sir's ready to see you" Bubble girl smiled before noticing me "So you're the famous Izuku. I must say, I thought you'd be taller" Another voice commented. I turned from facing Bubble Girl to see a tall green-haired man, staring me down "LeMillion, our meeting can wait. You and I must discuss something" He said while pointing at me.
The green-haired man towering over me was the one and only Sir Nighteye. Not even I know his quirk, he's mysterious, intelligent, and deceptively strong. I followed Nighteye into his office. The room was flooding with All Might memorabilia "You know of All Might's quirk?" The hero questioned. "I... I don't think so. I assume its a sort of energy manipulation" I replied "Wrong, All Might's quirk is a quirk transferred to him from another. It's the culmination of 8 people's strengths and quirks" Sir Nighteye explained.
That's... possible? Quirk sciences aren't very set in stone but it is known that quirks can't just be passed on... right? "Why are you telling me this? Isn't the nature of All Might's quirk a serious secret?" I asked. Nighteye pulled down his glasses and stared deeply into my soul "You're exactly what All Might should've found. I may believe that Mirio can utilise One for All to it's fullest potential... Only someone stupid enough to throw themselves in front of villains like you do, can make it work eternally" He explained as he stood up.
"I want to offer you a challenge" He said while placing a hand on my shoulder "Take this pen off me, and I'll offer you a position at this agency" He offered while picking up a novelty pen with All Might's head on it. I nodded at him and went to jump forward at him. As fast as I could, I went to grab the pen. Only, he dodged. How... I tried again, pivoting to attack again. Yet again he weaved to the side and dodged "Future sight" I muttered. Sir Nighteye let a small smirk onto his face. He It has to be. I shut my eyes and began to think of a plan.
I need an idea, something, a shot in the dark. In the dark. If he see's the future through my eyes then mabye he can't see if I shut my natural eye. I quickly opened my robotic eye and charged forward. This time, Sir Nighteye seemed surprised by the attack but he still managed to dodge. I kept a calm facade before charging again. Only this time I shot my grapple around the pen, reeling it into my hand "Very well, return tomorrow with Mirio and we'll deal with your contract" Sir Nighteye said while sitting down.
I just stood facing his desk awkwardly "You can go, and Izuku," Nighteye started "Yes, Sir" I replied "Upgrade your costume, it's boring"
