Isaac's POV
"What?!" Everyone screamed.
Steven: "Mom was Pink diamond?" Steven had a betrayed look on his face."
Garnet: "Rose Quartz.. Was Pink Diamond? I-I don't understand!"
Amethyst: "Wait a minute so let me get this straight Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gems and Steven's mom was also was Pink Diamond?!"
"Yeah, I'm just as confused as you I don't know why she did fake her shattering."
Pearl: "it was Pink Diamond's final command for me to not let anyone else know."
Jasper: "But did she know that thousands of gems would have been corrupted or shattered, and placed away in bubbles because of her secret?"
Pearl: "S-She did but she tried to prevent it from happening."
Jasper: "But many innocent gem lives were on both sides of the war because of her actions, why did she do this?"
Pearl: "I-I." Garnet then stood up
Garnet: "Rose... She.. She..."
she started groaning then a glowing light separated from her. What the hell! Is this what Lapis was talking about fusion?
Ruby: "Sapphire!"
Sapphire: "She lied to us! She lied about everything! She held our hands and looked us in the eye and told us to never question who we are as Garnet! We never questioned ourselves or her!"
Ruby: "But we couldn't have known!"
Sapphire: "No! You couldn't have known, both of us wouldn't have known. You never known what's going on. That's what I'm for."
Ice starts forming around her on the ground ooh shit.
Ruby: "Sapphire." she said while having a worried look on her face.
Sapphire: "But I never looked into her, I trusted her I let her make all of us fools!"
she then ran to the warp pad. The ice is growing rapidly this isn't good she's becoming unstable.
Ruby: "Sapphire wait! Please let's just talk about this!"
Sapphire: "Talk about what? How our relationship is based on nothing but a lie! What else is there to say?"
Steven: "Wait Sapphire hol-" before Steven could finish his sentence, he slipped on the ice and landed on his face first."
A tear fell on Sapphire's face then she warped away.
Ruby fell to her knees tears going down her face. It breaks my heart to see something argue with a loved one. It reminds me of Ellie and me when I was arguing with her about the past I couldn't let go I will never forget that day.
Pearl: "Ruby I'm so so sorry."
Steven then got up shaking the pain.
Steven: "Come on Pearl we gotta reason with Sapphire!"
Pearl: "Right."
Steven: "Isaac you're coming too."
I nod at this "Hang tight Ruby we'll get Sapphire back." she looks at me and hugs my leg
Ruby: "T-thank you, Issac."
while she's sobbing hard. I give out a "help me outlook." Amethyst walks over to Ruby and places a hand on her shoulder, she lets go of me, and I turn to Pearl
"Alright Pearl do you know where she could have gone?"
Pearl: "I don't know, unless." she thinks for a moment, and her face brightness up
Pearl: "Perhaps she could be there?"
Well wherever it is, let's go." I look over to the others
We'll let you know if anything else happens."
Peridot: "Ok, stay safe Isaac please."
"Don't Worry We'll be careful and watch Ruby just in case she starts becoming emotional."
Amethyst gave out a thumbs up, we step onto the warp pad and teleport, We soon land in a snowy area judging from what I'm looking at, it reminds me of tau volantis
"Where are we?"
Pearl: "We're in Rose's healing spring but it's not supposed to be snowing."
Steven: "Sapphire! Sapphire!" Steven yelled out
"Maybe she's in here?"
we start walking to the entrance and I see a statue of Rose with dangerous ice sticking out of the floor, I then spot Sapphire leaning on the fountain with her arms on her head.
Steven: "Sapphire!" we all start jogging toward her
small ice spikes are forming on the ground all around her. If we're going to calm her down we'll need to watch our words.
Sapphire "Everything that we were running she was right there all along using, us for her little war smiling at us with those knowing eyes making me believe in a better future that I couldn't see because it wasn't real, and now here we are our friends shattered and corrupted of course she was a diamond. What a long road she took to torture us."
Steven: "It wasn't like that you know that she didn't want anyone else to get hurt."
Sapphire: "I don't know that, I clearly don't know anything."
Pearl: "You deserve to know everything I was given to Pink Diamond just a few thousand years before she was given earth I was supposed to make her happy I just never could..." she said looking at the statue "I introduced her to the idea of disguising herself as a Quartz to fit in with the other Amethysts in prime kindergarten she was looking for excitement."
Steven: "So it was all just so she can get out and have some fun?"
Pearl: "Well that's how it started.." looking back at Sapphire "We traveled the planet and examined its contents until she saw humans and what they were preexisting creatures that are native to the planet. She then knew that the colony would have killed them all."
Steven: "So she did want to protect earth she didn't realize what they were doing to the planet."
Sapphire: "So what?!" she lifted her head showing her face and holy fuck! She has one eyeball!
Sapphire: "She suddenly started caring about the earth?"
Shaking whatever the hell I just saw, I gotta speak up
"Well to me it sounded like she grew a conscience about the lives that would have been taken just for the sake of a planet already growing at large at the expense of other life platforms."
Sapphire: "Then why did she rope us all into it? Why couldn't she stop the colonization herself?"
Pearl: "She tried. When she told the other Diamonds that she didn't want to go through the colony they told her to finish what she started when she told the other Diamonds that she wanted to preserve life on earth they created the Human Zoo and threw a handful of humans in. She did everything she could as Pink Diamond but her status meant nothing to Blue and Yellow, so she decided to make a stand as someone they couldn't ignore. She was going to scare every gem off the planet, but everything changed when she saw your fusion. Before Garnet, she was fighting for the earth but Garnet changed everything Rose wanted to fight for her. She wanted to fight for gems and maybe she was foolish and maybe selfish but she was.."
Sapphire: "Following us.."
Pearl: "What?" she said in a shocked tone
Sapphire: "This whole time we thought we were following her but she was following us. How could she not after you swept her off her feet?"
Pearl: "Wha- what? Me?"
Steven: "Are you kidding you took her on this whirlwind tour of earth, and then she wanted to live here with you forever."
Sapphire: "That's just how I felt when I came here with Ruby, but now I don't know if she feels the same now because it's my fault." she placed her head down and started sobbing. Alright, I gotta do something I can't sit here and watch someone suffer like me. I walk over to her. I crouch down to her level and place my hand on her back.
"Sapphire listen I'm not a love counselor but. Don't let Roses's actions in the past be the reason why you and Ruby broke up, don't be Garnet for her, do it for yourselves. Don't have your relationship end up like mine..."
Sapphire: "Wh-What do you mean don't end up like you?" she sniffled and she lifted her head. I sigh "
"Before Ellie died we both loved each other, I couldn't live without her but we both got into an argument over my past haunting me that I couldn't let go. And to that Ellie couldn't take it anymore so she..."
I said looking away unbearing to say what happens next in the corner of my eye, I see Steven and Pearl with saddened expressions.
Sapphire: "Y-you lost her." I looked back at her
"Yeah.. she broke up with me."
Sapphire: "I'm... Sorry, Issac."
"Hey, it's alright, now c'mon Rubys waiting for you."
She wipes the tears off her face and also has a faint smile. I get up and all of us start walking back, we step on the pad and teleport back.
Sapphire: "Ruby I'm so sorry!" she then looked up while she sitting on the couch and had a mixture of shock, and happiness.
Ruby: "Sapphire!" then the both of them ran up to each other and hugged each other with tears forming around their eyes and laughing. I then walked over to the counter placing my arm down. And slumping down
Ruby: "I thought you weren't coming back! I was so worried!"
Sapphire: "I know what I said and I'm sorry can you forgive me?" Ruby then pulled back and held her hands.
Ruby: "Forgive you? I would forgive you a thousand times! But what made you come back?
Sapphire: "Issac did! He told me to become Garnet not for Rose, but for ourselves imagine it, Ruby!" she looked down and thought about it
Ruby: Your right, your right! Thank you, Isaac! Thank you!" then the two, look at me smiling. I move my hand in the air
"it's what I do."
Sapphire: "No Isaac we are in your debt forever we will never forget this, thank you." then the two looked back at each other smiling and then kissed each other, and then a bright light starts forming around them. When the light died Garnet was standing there smiling happily then Pearl, Steven, and Amethyst ran up to her and hugged her. They were all happy, I can't help but crack a little smile I may not fully understand gem life but all I do know is that they act and have emotions like us humans. Then they all pulled back.
Amethyst: "So what the heck do we do now?" they all started thinking until Garnet looked like she had an idea.
Garnet: "Let's throw a party for Issac, a celebration for our newest team member." Even though I would decline. I haven't been to a party in a very long time how bad could this be? I shrugged "Why not?" Steven had stars in his eyes and started jumping.
Steven: "Yay! I'll go and get the supplies and call dad and Connie, Jasper, do you think you help me out?"
Jasper: "Of course little one." she then picked up Steven and placed him on her shoulders and begin walking to the door, I chuckled and shook my head "Guess I'll go and help them." I begin walking to the door
