I burnt the letter as soon as I could, I never intended to meet him or write to him, but this would one of three letters that I would receive in my last two years at Hogwarts, the second came just before my sixth year finished and it made me nervous to go home, in fear of the danger I could put my family in:
Dearest Rosaline,
Didn't your mother instil manners into you? Surely she taught you not to ignore someone when they take the time to write to you, especially when it is your father. Three of my letters have been deflected back to me, by magic I assume to be from the origin of the Scamander's, who have taken it to be their responsibility to protect you and your mother from now on, or of Dumbledore, who has sworn to protect you and Mr Newton Scamander in the last few years. I know everything about you Rosaline, you cannot hide in the school forever, you will join me.
Your Father.
When we went home that summer, Dumbledore sent us with a letter addressed to our parents, explaining everything that had been happening, just in case we tried to hide it from them to protect them, he even visited the house to help with protection charms about two weeks into the summer weeks.
By the time we went back for our seventh year, the memory of the letters was at the back of everyone minds, we had a fantastic summer and we travelled a lot, we also found a lot of new creatures on those travels as well. When we went back, we were actually a week late starting because there was a large storm the morning we were meant to be leaving. When I got into the school, it was late and I just wanted to sleep, myself and Newt were some of the last to get in because his case came open and his Niffler escaped and started to chase another student for her shiny buckles from her shoes. Newt and I were instantly pulled into Dumbledore's office, McGonagall was already sitting in there, her face neutral and passive, but if you looked closely you could see the worried lines, I was handed a letter, my father's familiar handwriting on it. My stomach lurched at the sight, I gripped Newt's hands tightly and tore it open with a swish of my wand with the other:
Rosaline,
I am a patient man. I shall wait for you to be ready to come to me, I know you will eventually, you are destined for wonderful things and you are wasted running around after those beasts with the floppy haired boy you seem to cling to. You cannot pretend to be someone you aren't. You are a Grindelwald!

I burnt the letter and refused to talk about it, I just wanted to forget everything and forget he was my father, as far as I was concerned I didn't have a father at this point, he was nothing to me. The rest of our seventh year was spent with me being paranoid about receiving another letter, but I never got one, I never received another letter from my father, I thought I had got rid of him for good, but I was wrong.
