BUFFY'S POV
'I'm confused' I told Spike at home.
'Why?' He asked gently
'How come Willow didn't know?'
'She was under a spell Buffy'
'True, but she acted like she knew something, whenever we brought it up'
'Yeah I know, maybe she was still under the spell then. Look Buff I don't know.'
'I'm sorry' I told him gliding my hands around his waist. I pressed my face against his chest, he felt warm. Unusual. He stroked my head as I leaned on him.
'Hey let's get some food okay?' He smiled
'Okay' I replied.
We laid on the couch watching our favourite black and white movies. Popcorn in a bowl, my hand dangling over it, still slightly warm. He sat in the corner with my head on his lap, he stroked my head gently as I wrestled to keep my eye lids open.
'Love go to sleep' he whispered to me
'No' I mumbled
'Why? It's okay to sleep'
'Fine'
Spike got up and slowly lifted me up as well. He turned the TV off and held my hand, slowly guiding me up the stairs. They always seem higher and longer when you're tired.
We got to our room and Spike pulled the covers back, I climbed in and patted the side next to me for him. He smiled and climbed in. I snuggled next to him, wrapping my arms around his waist. I don't want to let him go, not even for a second.
'Goodnight' he whispered
'I love you!' I yelled back
He laughed softly 'I love you too.'
