Thankfully, Landre had managed to convince Navier to let his division protect her until she had an official escort.
It was something that put you more at ease, so it's been easier to sleep at night.
Nian was gaining more and more attention in high society as well, with her being a foreigner and having breath taking looks, it was easier for her to progress and climb up.
Everything was going well.
But there was only one thing bothering you.
Everytime Nian and Landre visited you and Navier, they were always so lovey dovey—smiling at each other so tenderly, stealing glances at each other, and making one another blush.

You sigh out, resting your chin on your hand.
The gardens in the Western Kingdom are just as beautiful as those in the Eastern Empire, but it felt rather lonely to admire the beauty all lone.
"What are you sighing about?"
Koshar's voice makes you jump in surprise. He chuckles, pulling the chair across from you and taking a seat, acting as if he hasn't been avoiding you since you've entered the Palace.
You glare at him, "Why are you here?"
He sweats bullets, "T-to see you of course.."
"You weren't so keen on seeing me for the past few days, why now?" You huff and turn your gaze away from him, earning a whine from the blond.
It's like this for a moment, neither of you refusing to speak unless the other uttered a word.
Koshar sighs, knowing he was in the wrong this time around.
"I felt bad for causing you trouble, so I avoided you and Navier.." He finally admits, brightening up when you meet his eyes.
"Haven't we both been the ones causing trouble? Since when were you the only trouble magnet?" You ask him, wondering if he'd just suddenly forgotten all the moments both of you spent and threw them away.
He knew you wouldn't mind if he did cause any trouble, so why was he avoiding you now?
"Truthfully, I.." He hesitates, furrowing his eyebrows, "After I got exciled, Farang came here. And when I asked about you, he said you looked so sickly and stressed that he thought you were at death's door."
Ah, that was when you found out about Sovieshu wanting to marry Navier.
"I felt bad, it was clearly my fault for keeping you up at night trying to find a way to bring me back.." He looks down in shame and guilt, fumbling with his fingers
He panics when you don't respond, immediately looking back up for a reaction and looking surprised when you're smiling at him so softly.
"I wasn't sleepless because of you, at the time, I found out Sovieshu was planning to divorce Navier so I tried to find solutions." You speaks when he finally stops drowning in his self guilt.
Taking his hands in yours, you make sure his attention is all on you, "Listen, you will never be a burden to me or to Navier. No matter how big of a trouble you cause, it will never actually bother me, I'm sure it won't bother Navier that much either."
"But—"
"You weren't the cause if the divorce Koshar," You laugh softly at his confused expression, "Sovieshu divorced Navier because he wanted the child that whore carries to become a Royal member."
You can see the moment he finally connects the dots, his mouth opening as a noise of realization leaves his lips.
"So..I was just feeling guilty for nothing?" He grumbles, now seeming upset.
"Yes, you idiot."
He sighs, "Thank goodness I've already spoken to Navier before meeting you."
You perk up, "You did? She's been looking for you since the first day."
Koshar nods, bringing out a few bottles of champagne and two empty wine glasses after gently removing his hand from yours.
"Let's drink as we talk."
You grin, grabbing the bottle and popping it open, "Tell me about everything that happened and how you got here before us."

Thankfully, the garden was a far distance from everyone else.
Otherwise they would have been blessed with the screamin— singing you and Koshar have been doing the past few hours before you settled down on the grassy grounds, connecting the stars and trying to create an image.
"Ah, right." Your blond friend slurs, chugging down a bottle of champagne before turning to you, "I'm participating in the knight's expedition, Heinley asked me to do so."
You hum, laying on the ground beside him, twirling stands of his hair in your hands, "Your reputation will increase if you do well." Your words are slurred, similar to his as he giggles and nods.
"I heard you were getting alone with the locals as well, if we both get good reputation the locals might start wishing for us to be a couple." His already reddened face turns even redder as he imagines a scene where the people ask him if he's married you yet.
"Won't you come with me?" He pouts like a child, pulling the puppy eyes card as you easily give in, given your drunken state.
"I will."

"I'm sorry Koshar, I can't come." You apologetically look up at him as he looks at you dejectedly, a pout on his lips.
You were just given the information that Navier, Heinley, and you were invited to Sovieshu and Rashta's wedding, and it would be during the knight's expedition.
"I have to attend the wedding of Sovieshit and the crusty dog." You sigh, seeing him frown.
"I'll make it up to you when I return okay?" You put on hand on your hip, the other on his shoulder and shift your weight to one leg.
He nods, though still dejected.
'It can't be helped..' You chuckle under your breath, watching as he perks up at the sound of your chuckle, wondering what you were laughing about when he's being sulky and upset.
'He looks just like a whining golden retriever..'
Your cheeky grin tells him everything.
"Well, do your best during the expedition, alright?"
He nods, "That goes without saying—it would be rude if I was welcomed so warmly and I didn't even do my job correctly."
"Miss ( y/n ), time for departure!"
You turn, giving Koshar a quick goodbye before rushing off, bag of clothes in hand as Laura pressures you to hurry, insisting the carriage is about to leave when it's just sitting there patiently.
Koshar watches you enter the carriage, mind clouded as he imagines you congratulating him with expensive liquor as a gift once he returns.
