No one's POV
Currently, within F.A.C Outpost 37, everyone had unexpectedly ran into each other within the hallway.
Tucker: Okay, hold up. You're telling me that the Feds are just as helpless as the New Republic? I thought they were evil!
Donut: Well, we thought you were being brainwashed by terrorists!
Grif: Terrorists? Our soldiers are a bunch of harmless morons!
Sarge: Your soldiers?
Simmons: We were all promoted to Captains, they gave us squads and everything.
Caboose: Blue Team for life.
Sarge: Clearly our enemy isn't as cunning as we once thought.
One: We don't have an enemy.
Washington: One is right. As far as I can tell, both of these forces have reasons to fight, and neither are particularly guilt-free. We've just been caught in the middle.
Tucker: But, the rebels aren't bad! Some of them are our friends.
Washington: And we managed to make a few allies within the Federal Army. None of this makes either side any better. The New Republic started this war with extremest attacks on the capitol.
Tucker: But only because the government was screwing them!
Grif: You gotta admit, it sounds kinda like a dick move.
One: Our best bet is to get both sides to talk one another.
Washington: Exactly. Doyle is in the capitol at the moment, but maybe he can get this Kimball woman to agree to a meeting. If they can come to some sort of understanding, we might be able to end this thing, and go home.
Simmons: This isn't right...
Washington: Believe me, there's plenty wrong with this situation. But I think this is our best move. I'm just glad you guys made it.
Simmons: No, seriously, I mean this doesn't feel right. I just can't figure out what it is!
Sarge: Is it a false sense of superiority? That's probably a side effect of the false promotion.
Grif: Minutes after re-uniting and you're already starting shit.
Sarge: What did you expect, breakfast in bed?
Grif: I hate you.
Sarge: I hate you more.
Simmons: Wait, do you hear that?
Tucker: Uhh... No.
Donut: You okay, Simmons?
Simmons: What happened to the alarms?
Everyone realized Simmons was right, as the alarms could no longer be heard. Quickly making their way back outside the base, everyone saw Warthogs overturned and weapons on the ground, as there are were soldiers in sight.
Caboose: Uhh... Is it lunch time again?
Washington: Hello? Dr. Grey? Anybody?!
One: What's going on?
Washington: I don't know.
Fed Trooper 1: (on radio) Enemy contact, fall back!
Fed Trooper 2: (on radio) Where'd he go? Screams.
Washington: (yelling) Sarge!
Suddenly, Sarge, Donut, and Lopez drive by in a Rocket-hog.
Sarge: Way ahead of you!
Simmons: What is happening?
Washington: We're under attack!
The Rocket-hog drives over a hill. Donut and Sarge get out.
Sarge: Donut, establish a perimeter!
Donut: Got it. Hey! Just so you guys know, you better not come over here!
Lopez: Usted se avergüenza a si mismo. [You embarrass yourself.]
Suddenly, a Fed ran up to Sarge.
Fed: Thank god, sir, you've got to help us. They came out of nowhere.
Sarge: Who, the Rebels?
Fed: No!
Sarge: Oh good, because we kinda just found out that they're really not that bad. Boy, have we got a story to tell you, and you are gonna laugh!
Fed: It's not the Rebels, sir. It's-
Without warning, the Fed is sniped and disintegrates, completely shocking everyone.
One: What the hell...?
Tucker: Umm... Did, everyone else see that?
Grif: You mean a man disintegrate right in front of us?
Tucker: Yep!
Simmons: Really wish I hadn't.
Suddenly, even more Feds could be heard screaming, as they were shot randomly and all being disintegrated along with a tank, as Emily Grey is shown hiding behind a wall.
Emily: Oh dear...
Simmons: We've gotta do something!
Grif: We could run! Running is something!
A sticky detonater round lands on the warthog.
One Get away from the car!
Everyone ran away from the warthog. Donut screams and Lopez yells in Spanish, as it exploded.
Washington: What are we dealing with?
Donut: We don't know!
Sarge: Well it ain't the rebels, that's for sure.
Tucker: Then who the hell is it?
Suddenly, beams appear on everyone, as they and they lowered their weapons.
Scarlet: Well that was a lot easier then I thought it be.
Suddenly, both Locus and Scarlet become visible as they walked down a flight of stairs.
Locus: Like sheep to the pen...
Washington: Oh no...
Locus: You're ready for slaughter.
Tucker: Locus! Scarlet!
Tucker raises his weapon.
Scarlet: Oh, I wouldn't if I were you. Unless you'd like to be dust in the wind like the Feds.
Members of the mercenary team become visible surrounding everyone, along with multiple Warthogs all driving up and surrounding them. Tucker grunts angrily and lowers his weapon.
Simmons: The soldiers from the fueling station?
Grif: I thought they were Feds,
Sarge: Those ain't our guys.
Locus: I told you, Agent Washington, I am a professional. I complete my missions at all costs. But you, and your comrades have put a blemish on my record.
Scarlet just rolled her eyes.
Scarlet: I swear, you and your stupid record.
Without them knowing, Tucker was preparing a grenade behind his back.
Locus: This, is unacceptable.
Washington: What are you talking about? You just killed the men you're working for!
Locus: It appears you don't understand after all. Unfortunate. You were such a fascinating soldier, Agent Washington.
Locus raises his sniper rifle while Tucker gets ready to throw his grenade. Maverick and Felix darts in front of One and Wash, and Maverick blocked Locus's shot.
Tucker: Huh?
One: Maverick?!
Felix: Tucker, grenade!
Tucker: Oh! Right!
Tucker tosses Felix the grenade.
Felix: Ah... That. Was. Close...! Nice throw, Tucker. (laughs maliciously)
Tucker: Felix?
Felix: How many times have I jumped in front of a bullet for you, Wash? Three? Those are some... pretty great reflexes, huh?
Maverick: Well, I guess most people would have to plan that sort of thing.
One just looked at Maverick confused.
One: Maverick? What are you doing...?
Maverick: We're helping out our squad.
Felix throws the grenade up to Locus.
Felix: You missed a spot.
Locus: Are you done?
Locus hands the grenade to the soldier on his left.
Felix: Not even close.
Grif: Dude!
Tucker: This doesn't make sense! That's Locus, your enemy!
Felix: Riiight, and I'm the charismatic mercenary with a gruff exterior, but a heart of gold. A little too romantic, don't you think?
Tucker: But the guy fucking shot you!
Felix: Yeah, funny how an act of sacrifice like that buys you so much trust. And so much information.
Simmons: But you're supposed to hate each other!
Felix: Oh, we do. After all, you should never mix friends with business.
Maverick: You just love running your mouth, don't you?
Locus: Wrap it up.
Felix: But we just work so well together.
Sarge: You dirty liar!
Felix: Hey, whoa whoa whoa. I never actually lied to you idiots, okay? Well, except for once. (mocking) You're some of the galaxy's greatest soldiers! Now that couldn't be farther from the truth. But, you know, it did make you the perfect candidates to lead the people of Chorus.
Locus: Stop boasting and let me kill them. We have a job to do.
Felix: Ooh, that's right, he doesn't like you guys. He actually thinks there might be a few fighters among you. Ha. Told you he's crazy.
Washington: But why?! Why the capture, why make us part of this war!?
Felix: Well, you see-
Locus: Felix...!
Felix: No! I've had to put up with these morons every day, so you let me have this. You see, someone, somewhere, out in our galaxy, has their eye set on this planet. The only problem... is the inhabitants. Now, if it were up to me, I'd just nuke this place from orbit. But our employer, has other ideas. We have to play this thing carefully, you understand? If an entire planet dies overnight, well, people ask questions. But if you stumble onto this rock and find that the settlers killed each other, well... that's just a tragedy.
Tucker: It was you... You started this war!
Felix: Wroonng! These people hated each other way before our operation ever showed up, we just had to keep the hate train a-goin'. And let me tell ya, you guys have helped so much...
Felix: Does it hurt...? Knowing just how much death you've brought to this planet?
Locus: ENOUGH!! How many times must I tell you?! If you want to make the victim suffer, you do it quickly, and efficiently! There will be no rescue for you. You will die here, today, along with the rest. No one will find your bodies, no one will know the truth, and no one is going to stop us from killing every last person on this planet!
Felix, Scarlet and Maverick all looked at Locus, as Maverick turned to One.
One: Why?
Maverick: Like I said before. This is just a job.
One: A job that involves mass genocide on a global scale! Do you really not care about these people?!
Scarlet: No, we don't. We couldn't give two shits about the faces of people we've never met. The only thing we care about is family.
Maverick: Which is why we want to take you with us.
One: And why would I want to go with you?
Maverick and Scarlet both looked at each other, as they both took off their helmets, making One's eyes widened.
Maverick: Because we're family.
One: Jason...? Alyssa...? Y-You're both alive...?
Tucker: Wait a minute, you know these two?!
Washington: One... Are they...
One: Yeah... They're my older brother and sister that died...
Caboose: Oh! What a twist!
Scarlet: Well, as you can see, we're alive and well.
One: How...? We thought you died in the fire...
Maverick: I bet he would have liked that. But we survived.
Scarlet: We actually had a run in with the both you a few years back. Remember the Insurrectionist?
Washington: The Insurrectionist?!
One: The women with the knives... That was you...
Scarlet: Looks like you finally realized it. But to be honest, it was a complete coincidence. Or maybe it was fate.
One: B-But why?! If you were both alive, why didn't you tell us?!
Maverick: Simple. We want Adrain dead.
One just looked at the two of them shocked.
One: Dead...?
Scarlet: Exactly. Dead.
Maverick: He's the cause of everything horrible in our lives! He's why our family was ruined, Emily!
Locus: WRAP IT UP!!!!
Scarlet: Will you fuck off?
Maverick: Adrain is the cause. And we intend on killing him to avenge her. But that doesn't mean we want to hurt you.
Maverick then held his hand out to One.
Maverick: Come with us, Emily. We'll look after you, instead. We'll protect you, keep you safe. We'll kill him together and-
One: No.
Maverick and Scarlet both looked at her completely shocked.
Scarlet: What?
One: I'm not turning my back on Adrain. Not after everything he's done for me, after he's looked out for me all these years.
Maverick: After everything's he's done?! You can't be serious! He's no where to be found! He left you to run off with Carolina! If he cared about you so much, he should be standing right here!
???: Who says I'm not?
Everyone looked over at the mercenary, who was standing next to Locus's right, as he primed the grenade, as a mercenary next to Scarlet began to talk.
???: I thought they'd never stop talking.
The mercenary primed and drops Tucker's grenade on the ground, as the two of them leaps off the building, with Scarlet looking at the one on the right, furiously.
Scarlet: You motherfuckers!
Locus: KILL THEM!!!!
The grenade explodes, as the two unknown mercenaries lands in front of Felix and Maverick.
Felix: Who the fuck are you two?!
Maverick looked at the mercenary that landed in front of him furiously.
Maverick: You!!!!
Maverick rushed the mercenary with his machete, as the mercenary pulled out two knives clashing with him, surprising One.
One: Wait, is that...
The other mercenary fires at Felix with a suppressor, as Felix activates his Hardlight Shield, deflecting the shots. The reflected bolts knock the suppressor out of the mercenary's hands and the weapon lands at Grif's feet.
Grif: (panicked) WHAT-IS-GOING-ON?!
Washington: (yelling) Just grab it and shoot!
Everyone began firing wildly, Grif also picking up the supressor and opening fire, gunning down several mercenaries. Emily runs up and sees the battle.
Emily: Wash?
Suddenly, multiple Warthogs pulled up behind Emily, surprising her, but suddenly, they're all destroyed, by multiple grenade launcher shots, surprising her again, as she saw a third unknown mercenary walking up to her. With Felix and the unknown second mercenary engage in hand-to-hand combat, as Felix is kicked to the ground.
Felix: You think you're fast?
Felix is knocked down again, as he's kicked in the head.
Felix: Oh, what the fuck?
Unknown Mercenary#2: Faster than you.
Felix: Let's change that.
Felix stabs the Unknown Mercenary in the leg, causing her to yell in pain. Felix kicks her over at the others. With the first Unknown Mercenary, he and Maverick were trading blows, Maverick thrusted his machete at him, only for the mercenary to redirect it into the wall, and kicked him in the face, knocking him back.
Maverick: So you were hiding and wait this entire time, huh? Like a coward.
Unknown Mercenary#1: That's rich coming from you.
Felix: Locus! Scarlet!
Locus and Scarlet both stepped back forward with 2 Incineration Cannons.
Scarlet: Fuck off, you piece a shit!
The second Unknown Mercenary pulls out a Teleportation Cube.
Unknown Mercenary: We're leaving! Stay close!
Suddenly, Emily is thrown into the group, as the third Unknown mercenary walked up the the group, along with the first one. The second Unknown mercenary throws the cube at the ground, teleporting her, and everyone away from the area, just as Locus and Scarlet's shot hits. Felix and Maverick look up at Locus and Scarlet.
Locus: Call Control...
Elsewhere, everyone started to get up, seeing they were in a remote location.
Grif: Uh... What just happened, and why did it hurt?
Dr. Grey: Uh... Where am I?
Caboose: I think my insides were just outside.
Washington: Ugh, is everyone okay?
One: What was that...?
Unknown Mercenary#2: You know, I never thought I'd be so glad to see you idiots again.
Unknown Mercenary#1: It's been awhile.
The Unknown Mercenaries steel color fades, revealing them to be Carolina, Zero and an alive Maine.
Tucker: Carolina?
One: Adrain?!
Washington: Meta?!
Maine: (Growls)
Epsilon: That's not all!
Tex and Epsilon appears next to Carolina
Tex: Sup, Cockbites.
Epsilon: Miss me, assholes?
Everyone: TEX?!
Simmons: You have got to be fucking kidding me...
Tucker throws his DMR to the ground.
Tucker: You fuck!
He charges towards Epsilon, but falls through him and hits the ground, as Carolina , Zero, Tex and Epsilon look at each other.
Tex: Huh.
Epsilon:Wasn't expecting that.
(A/N) Here's Maine's new armor.
And his weapons. A grenade launcher
And a pistol.
Maine still has his Strength boost armor enhancement.
