"Oh, shit, they found the truck." Kie panicked as the six drove back the way they came. After heading to the church, they found the cross gone with two people in mind of who had it.
"Just relax. Relax." John B spoke quickly back at her.
"Well, lookee here." Shoupe spoke as he walked over. Athena and Kie shared a sigh, dunking down in the back.
"Good evening officer." John B greeted.
"Sheriff." Shoupe corrected.
"Sheriff, that's right." John B nodded.
"I pulled the tags and I know who's car that is." Shoupe said sternly as he looked around the van, shining his light in the back to find Kie and Athena crouched down. "Looking for something?"
"Just my will to life." Athena muttered.
"Sheriff, I just wanted to say that this is all my fault." Pope spoke up, trying to take the blame. "She had nothing to do with this. I take 100% responsibility."
"Nothing to do with is?" Shoupe questioned in a tone of disbelief. "You wanna try that again? Your parents reported the jeep missing four hours ago, and the keys were missing from the house. I'm taking you home. Or I can pull you all in for leaving the scene of an accident."
"Okay." Kie sighed.
"You too Athena." Shoupe told the blonde.
"What?"
"It was your jeep, I'm taking you home too." Shoupe informed her.
"Rose isn't at home though." Athena stated. "And Rafe won't do shit."
"Well then you can go the Carerras." Shoupe spoke.
Athena turned to Kie, "Want me to come with?"
"I'll be okay." Kie whispered, Athena turning back to the Sheriff.
"I'd rather not thanks." Athena pulled a face. "And since my dad, you know, dead and Rose isn't in obx at the moment, the only family member that would even say something is sat right there so..."
Athena pointed at Sarah behind here, making Shoupe let out a sigh, giving into the girl, knowing everything she's been through. "Alright then."
"I gotta deal." Kie spoke when the group turned to her after Plumb opened the door for her. "Hit me up later and make sure I'm still alive."
"Come on. Let's get you home."
"He's got the truck." JJ commented softly, the five arriving at Tannyhill the same time Rafe did.
"Stay low, stay low, stay low." John B shushed them all as they reached the wall, looking over it, watching Rafe pull in front of the house.
"How much do you wanna bet Rafe has the cross inside that truck right now?" Pope asked.
"There's only one way to find out." Sarah shrugged, walking off, John B rushing after her. The three left watched them in disbelief, listening to them talk before Sarah kissed John B.
"I told them." Athena muttered. "Twin intuition."
John B hobbled back over to them, Pope teasing him, "Did you want me to perform your vows while you're at it?"
"Did you 'be safe.'" JJ asked.
"Christ, could you be any longer?" John B questioned watching Sarah, before turning to the three. "I said be safe."
"What's she doing?" Pope asked as Sarah looked around, turning around and holding her arms out. The three boys called to her to find the keys, Sarah saying she is going inside. The group tried to stop her but couldn't.
"We gotta go after her." Athena commented as the four tried to jump over the wall when a golf cart came up behind them, cocking his gun at the group.
"I got double - aught bucks in this thing, so uh, I can't miss." The man stated. "Alright there, buddy, off the wall, that's it, yeah."
"I live here sir, so I'll be leaving you." Athena stated, the man looking at her.
"Have a good day Miss Cameron." He smiled, recognising her.
Athena began to walk off towards her house, turning to see the boys looking at her with offended looks, mouthing as she walked. "I'll find Sarah."
Athena ran towards the house, quietly opening the door and walking up the stairs to see Sarah heading towards Wheezie's room. "Sarah."
"Athena, what are you doing?" Sarah asked her.
"We told you not to come indoors." Athena stated, the two stepping into Wheezie's room.
"Hey!" Wheezie greeted them. "Rose was looking for you both, she said we're going on a trip for something."
"We're not going with her." Sarah disagreed,
"Not according to her." Wheezie sighed. "By the way, where have you two been?"
"Trapped in the weirdest three days of my life." Sarah huffed, the twins sitting on Wheezie's bed.
"Fighting far too many life or death situations." Athena added. "We have so much to tell you."
"And I'm so sorry to ask you for another favour, but right now, we need your help." Sarah explained, looking at Wheezie.
"On one condition, no more leaving me." Wheezie looked between the two.
"Promise." Sarah nodded.
Wheezie looked towards Athena. "I know what promises mean and I vowed to never make I promise I didn't know I could keep." Athena sighed. "But I will do everything in my power to try not to leave but what I will promise is that if we are forced to leave, I'll come back for you."
"Good enough." Wheezie hugged Athena.
While Wheezie distracted Rafe, it gave Athena and Sarah the opportunity to run down to Rafe's room, Sarah open the door to find it locked. Athena grabbed the bobby pin from her hair, jamming into the keyhole and move it around until the locked clicked.
The two rushed into Rafe's bedroom, Sarah going over the his drawers to see no keys there. She moved stuff around, them not being anywhere there. Athena looked around the rest of the room, finding them on the bed.
"Sarah." Athena grabbed her twin's attention, throwing the keys to her. The two ran out the bedroom, Athena closing the door behind them quietly before they rushed down the stairs.
The twins ran outside the door, Sarah pushing the keys into the door to unlock it. When the door opened, Sarah stuck her head inside, not seeing anything. Athena furrowed her eyebrows in curiosity, tapping Sarah and pointing towards the back of the van.
Sarah followed after Athena as they went to the back, Athena taking the keys from Sarah's hand and unlocking the padlock, opening the door to see Renfield's dead body. The twins gasped, stumbling back in different directions. Athena placed her hand over her mouth, pressing her back against the truck when she heard Sarah yelp, Rafe's voice following.
Athena stayed quiet and hidden as she listened to Sarah fighting against Rafe, knowing that she wouldn't be able to help Sarah if she got caught now. Athena took a deep breath, it shuddering on her way out. Athena looked around, catching sight of the boys hiding in a bush. JJ gestured for Athena to go over, the blonde running over to them quickly.
"Where's Sarah?" John B asked immediately.
"I.. she... Rafe... Renfield..." Athena gasped.
"Hey, Athena, take a breath, breathe for a second." Pope soothed, Athena doing as instructed as JJ stroked her back.
"I think Rafe killed Renfield." Athena spoke, taking another deep breath.
"Where's Sarah?"
"Sarah... Sarah's inside... Rafe... I need to find Sarah." Athena turned around to leave, JJ grabbed her again.
"You're not going back in there." JJ told her.
"Yes I am, I need to find Sarah." Athena stated firmly. "I'll be fine."
Before any of the boys could respond, Athena ran back towards the house, just missing Rafe as he left. The blonde rushed down the stairs, knowing that's where Rafe would have taken her. When she reached the bottom, she saw Rose stood over Sarah, who laid unconscious on a chair, a tea cup on the floor.
"What did you do?" Athena asked, catching Rose's attention.
"I didn't do anything Athena, okay? She's alright." Rose nodded her head. "I did what I had to, to keep this family together. I knew you'd turn up soon."
Athena moved to Sarah's side, checking she was actually okay.
"We're going on a trip." Rose stated. "Help with lift her?"
Athena helped Rose lift Sarah, moving the girl up the stairs and getting Wheezie as they did. Wheezie immediately questioned what was wrong with Sarah, looking at Athena, who didn't make eye contact with here, before turning to Rose again.
"She was freaking out." Rose explained, answering Wheezie's question. "I gave her an anti-anxiety pill. She begged me for it, she'll be fine."
Athena looked towards the bush that the boys were earlier in, JJ noticing the look on her face and knowing something was wrong. Rose and Athena went over to the car, putting Sarah in the back, Athena getting in with her while Wheezie got in the passenger seat.
Athena placed her sister's head in her lap as Rose started the engine, Sarah waking up a bit but falling unconscious a few moments later. Athena stroked the blonde's hair, taking a deep breath as Sarah fell in and out of consciousness.
"Hey, Sarah, you gotta wake up." Athena whispered, patting her cheek when someone banged on the window.
"Hey! Slow the car! Sarah!" John B shouted.
"Hey, Wheezie! Unlock the door!" JJ called, banging on the other window.
"JJ." Athena turned to look at the boy, quickly spinning back around to try and open the door, finding it locked.
"What the hell?" Rose questioned.
"Wheezie open the door!" Athena exclaimed.
"Why can't I let them in?" Wheezie wondered.
"No!"
"Wake up." John B shouted to Sarah. "Wheezie unlock the door!"
"Athena!" JJ called as Rose sped up.
"I'm sorry." Wheezie spoke to John B.
"Wheezie open the door." Athena cried, turning to face JJ as the car got too fast for the boys to keep up. "You child locked the doors, you psycho!"
"I'm doing this for this family, Athena!" Rose snapped, Wheezie turning to her sister to whisper an 'I'm sorry'.
Athena looked down at her twin once more, gently shaking her, "C'mon Sarah, you gotta wake up."
The four Cameron girls arrived at the docks, two guys grabbing Athena and Sarah as they got out of the car, Rose and Wheezie following them onto the ship. The twins were locked in a room, Athena refusing to leave Sarah's side.
Athena could feel the boat moving across the water, the horn blaring as it did. Sarah awoke with a gasp at the noise, Athena letting out a relieved sigh as she did. Sarah was groggy for a moment, rubbing up her nose and her forehead before she finally clicked that her sister was next to her.
"Athena." Sarah smiled weakly. "Where are we?"
"At sea." Athena replied, gesturing to the window. Sarah furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, looking out the window to see nothing but water for miles.
"What the hell?" Sarah scoffed, getting up and looking at the food. "Why do they keep doing this shit?"
The girl walked over to the door, trying to open it and finding it locked.
"It's locked." Athena stated, Sarah turning to her with a outraged expression. "They thought that when you woke up, if they left it unlocked we'd jump off the boat and try to swim to shore or some shit."
"Assholes." Sarah scoffed once more. "We gotta get out of here."
"I know." Athena agreed, jumping up and helping Sarah look for something to open the door. Athena was quite upset that Rose took the bobby bin from her hair to stop her from opening the door.
Sarah grabbed a pen, jamming it in the keyhole when Athena caught sight of the knife that was left so they could use it to eat breakfast. Athena grabbed the knife, giving it to Sarah.
"Try this."
"Oh thanks." Sarah took the knife and throwing the pen away until Sarah placed her ear against the door. "Someone's coming."
The two girls stepped away from the door, hearing it being unlocked as they did. Athena rolled her eyes, turning around at the same time as Sarah, who was about to speak when they both gasped, eyes wide at who stood in front of them.
"Hi sweeties." Their father spoke from the doorway, smiling slightly at them.
