Ratchet had been your guardian for as long as you could remember. But that was back when the Autobots had been less busy, before the teenagers, before Wheeljack, before everything. When Smokescreen came along, the Autobots were already extremely busy, so Ratchet had reluctantly agreed to let the bot take care of you, finding himself extremely swept up in other jobs. The younger bot was reckless, so Ratchet had said, but you agreed nonetheless. But, it was only a matter of time before he put you in danger. You were out on a drive that he said would be safe from Decepitcons, but you were ambushed by a group of Vehicons, and with radios down, you had no way to contact the Autobots. A simple outing had turned into a dangerous mission, and Smokescreen had no choice but to try and defend you.
