NOI 17 - HEHE! ARE YOU PROUD?

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

❝We're finally here!❞

(Y/N) said, looking up at the hotel with admiring eyes. Her companions were doing the same. Karasujoh Hotel might be called an 'hotel', but it didn't look like that at all. It's like a five star hotel from another country. The (H/C)-haired girl hummed. How are they now? She wondered to herself and shrugged. She turned to Inarizaki with a smile. "Are you guys alright with here? Or do you want some help to check in?"

Kita was surprised for a second, but his face reverted back to his usual demeanor. The... blank expression that scared a lot of people, except for this girl in front of him of course. "We already reserved a room here, (Y/N)-san. We're extremely grateful for your help, but you're assisting us too much. You should go home now," he told her, tone reprimanding.

The girl laughed and waved her hand. "It's great that you guys reserved a room already, and I assure you, it's fine if I go home late. I'll just tell Mother later," she said, grinning at the unsure Kita.

She calls her mom 'Mother'? Wow, that's formal, thought Kunimi.

Iwaizumi piped up, "(Y/N)-san, have you forgotten that you lived in Shichigahama? It's almost a whole two hours from here in Kesennuma." Said girl flinched and looked away at the suspecting gazes she got from Kita and her fellow Miyagi folks. The spiky-haired male sighed and ruffled her hair. "Don't worry... Kita, was it? We know where she lives, so we can just go back with her."

Reliable, Kita thought before nodding. "I see, thank you, Iwaizumi."

They're already getting along... Everyone except for the two shining boys thought.

"This might sound overbearing," (Y/N) intervened, earning the attention of all athletes. "But... what are people from Hyogo doing here in Miyagi? Isn't it a little far?" She curiously asked.

"Ah, we came from a practice match in Nagano. Our coach wanted to go here, so yeah, here we are," Atsumu explained.

Matsukawa asked. "Where's your coach now though?"

Suna sweatdropped. "He's... drinking with his former buddies in highschool."

The rest of the athletes deadpanned. "I see."

"What school did you have a practice match against, Tsumu-chan?" Oikawa inquired.

"Kamomedai, I totally hate them, Tooru-kun," answered the blonde setter.

The fraternal twins are getting along, thought (Y/N) with a sweatdrop. And, wait, Kamomedai...? Does that mean... "Hey, Atsumu-san, do you guys know someone named 'Hoshiumi'?"

Atsumu blinked and turned to her in surprise. "Yeah, he's one of the key players of the team." He flinched, eyes narrowing at her. "Don't tell me that... 'ya know him, too, (Y/N)-chan?"

(Y/N) clapped her hands, laughing. "Oho! So you do know Rai-chan!" They gaped. She totally knew almost everybody. Some others stiffened at the nickname she gave him. Yes, she gives nicknames from time to time, but she never adds the honorific -chan in the end. Did that mean anything? "He's a friend of mine that I met while I was traveling Nagano to meet a friend of my mom in Hyogo," she answered. Her eyes crinkled fondly.

"Ah, I miss him! Should've gotten his number," she muttered with a pout. "Oh wait... our team is going to Tokyo in two days, so should I go there tomorrow?" She rambled to herself quietly.

"Yer going to an unknown place alone?" Akagi overheard her and asked her with a raised eyebrow.

The medical journalist waved a hand in front of her. "Ah, don't worry, Nagano's not totally unknown. In fact, I've travelled all over Japan to resolve some things, so I know how to get there. I also know some shortcuts that aren't found in the GPS, too!"

How is that even possible...? Some thought with a gawk.

Is that why she was at Aichi back then? Suna blinked.

"What are you even doing travelling all over Japan?" Kunimi couldn't help but ask. The others agreed with him and listened curiously for the girl's answer. She smiled and scratched the back of her neck.

"Just fixing a little issues here and there, tee-hee!" (Y/N) jokingly replied. They were about to refute and ask her to tell the truth, but her expression right now... and the glint on her eyes? They had something that silenced them and make them think that she wasn't lying. Noticing the tense atmosphere, the girl grinned. "Bwaha! I have to skip classes to do that though!"

Tendo shook his head in disapproval. "You can't do that, (Y/N)-chan."

Kita nodded in agreement. "I don't know the 'issues' you're talking about, but you don't have to abandon your studies just because of that."

Nah, it's definitely something more important than school, thought (Y/N) with a sheepish smile. "It's fine, really. I still kinda pass despite skipping classes, so yeah, I don't really mind skipping." If it's for world peace, she continued, puffing her cheeks. "Sorry for taking your time, you guys should go inside and get some rest no—"

"Ara, (Y/N)-chan?" Everyone turned at the voice and confusingly tilted their heads at the old lady standing by the entrance of Karasujoh Hotel. Manami smiled, taking notice of the group of athletes. "Oh, are you by any chance the volleyball team that was staying here?"

Kita took a step forward. "Yes, ma'am."

Manami clapped her hands. "I see! I'm so glad you found your way here! Your coach told me that you were going to arrive in the afternoon, so I grew a little worried that you lost your way, but I guess you received (Y/N)-chan's help." The athletes shared bewildered glances. Who was this person? And how did she know (Y/N)? Also... didn't she know a little bit too much people? She really deserves the title of the monster of communication.

(Y/N) brightened and climbed the stairs to hold the elder's hands. "Nami-san! Good evening! How have you all been lately?"

"Fufufu... we're doing the greatest we've been ever since we received your help," The old lady replied.

"You're exaggerating, Nami-san. I haven't done anything—"

"Nonsense, you were the one who helped to make this hotel famous."

Eh? Everyone, except the two talking ladies, were dumbfounded.

Seeing their expressions, Manami took this opportunity to explain, "Ah, (Y/N)-chan is actually famous around here in Miyagi for helping out literally every single person she sees. Sometimes, she brings her friend that is tall, scary-looking yet very kind with her, so everything has been fun lately." She glanced at (Y/N) in confusion. "Speaking of friend, how is Tobio-kun right now?"

"Ah, he's training his sets right now. He kinda had a fight with his teammate, so he's working hard to make all those frustrations into success," (Y/N) proudly answered. Kunimi's eyes widened. So the two of them were really friends. That sounds like Kageyama. To train and practice at hours like these.

"I see... If that's the case, why don't you stay here with your friends, (Y/N)-chan?"

"Eh?" (Y/N), along with her companions, let out in befuddlement.

Manami clapped her hands. "It's on the house! You've done so much to help us, so you won't have to pay your stay here, and it's only for a day, too. The owner and all the staff wouldn't mind since they like you too much!"

(Y/N) waved her hands. "Nami-san, we really appreciate the offer, but there's no need, I can just go home with them. I wouldn't want to impose on you, and I don't think everyone will be allowed to stay here so suddenly without getting the permission of their parents." Manami hummed and stared at her for a bit. The girl hummed questioningly at her stare and smiled.

This lady... is too considerate... thought Manami with a deadpan. From what Manami observed, the medical journalist looked really tired. Judging by the dark circles that were hidden by her smiles, (Y/N) must have been hiding her own troubles just to make everyone happy. She sighed and stunned the Karasuno student by patting her head. "It's really okay, (Y/N)-chan. It's just for one day, and you can rest, too."

Unexpectedly, it was Ushijima who stepped forward. "Nami-san is insisting, so you should accept it, (Y/N)-san." His eyes looked unfazed and serious, but he could see the exhaustion radiating from the girl. He might be dense, however he could see things like that, too. "If it's alright, can we accept? We wouldn't want to make you accommodate for so many people at once."

Manami's and the athletes' eyes widened in astonishment. This guy was so straightforward that it was almost scary. And Ushijima reminded Manami of the raven-haired friend (Y/N) had. She grinned and bobbed her head in excitement. "Of course! Make sure to get permission from your parents though!" She clasped (Y/N)'s hands and smiled. "I'll go ask the boss for some extra rooms. At this time, there are so many empty ones! I'll make sure that you guys are all close to each other! See you later!"

"E-Eh? Nami-san...?!" (Y/N) stammered. She was going to protest, but it looks like some of her companions wanted it, too. She pouted, tugging on the sleeve of the tall male beside her. "Mou, Toshi, you didn't have to do that."

A question mark appeared on Ushijima's face. "Why? You look tired. You have to rest."

(Y/N) shook her head. "No! No! I'm not! I'm okay, really. It's just... ugh... Your parents will be worried if you guys suddenly stay at a hotel."

"I got a good job from Mom!" Oikawa gave her a thumbs-up.

Iwaizumi looked up from his phone and nodded. "Yep, me, too."

"Pops said to never decline a free stay in a hotel!" Tendo stuck out his tongue.

"It's okay, (Y/N)-san, our parents are okay with it," Hanamaki answered for Kunimi and Matsukawa with a lazy smile.

(Y/N) smiled at them before glancing Ushijima. "I see. I'm glad." She whispered, concern lacing her tone, "How about you, Toshi?" Ushijima blinked before giving her his phone. (Y/N) was stupefied. "Um... why are you giving me your phone?"

"So you can read the text message," The ace spiker told her directly.

"No, no, no! I can't just do that! Read it yourself!" The medical journalist said.

"Why?"

"It's like I'm invading your privacy!"

"But, you have his permission, so it's alright, (Y/N)-san."

"Ah, Kita-san! I still don't think it's fine though."

"Who cares about the details? Ushiwaka's mom probably agreed so let's go, (Y/N)-chan!"

"Eh? Atsumu-san?! What the—"

"Oi, Tsumu, don't handle (Y/N)-san like that!"

"Who cares? She doesn't mind anyway—"

"She can't breathe, Atsumu!"

"Oh shit, you're Osamu—I'm sorry, (Y/N)-chan!"

"Huff... It's... huff... fine..."

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

"Whoa... this is amazing..." The players from Shiratorizawa and Seijoh looked around in admiration. They were separated from Inarizaki a bit to go to their rooms and place their things. They were going to eat after this. "You're amazing, (Y/N)-chan, how come you know the people who is managing this hotel? Isn't this like... a five star hotel or some sort?" Oikawa bellowed, awe lacing his tone.

(Y/N) smiled. "Ah, this was on construction last year. I happened to pass by with Tobio, so I helped them out in fixing it. Turns out, everything is okay. I hope everything is going well even up until now." She stretched her arms. "So, since Nami-san reserved only one room for us, I'll sleep at the couch and you guys sleep at the bedrooms. How does that sound?"

"Definitely not happening," The players simultaneously denied.

"Why...!" (Y/N) sulked.

"You're tired," Hanamaki pointed out.

"You should be on your own," Matsukawa followed.

Tendo finished, "And, you're surrounded by boys, (Y/N)-chan. You're the only girl here."

"Sheesh, that's your reasons? I can just beat you up and give you all a lesson if you try to do something." The seven athletes deadpanned at her. As if she can do that. After seeing how understanding she was to literally everyone? Nah, they bet that this girl wouldn't even hit a damn fly. She smiled. "It's fine, really. And I have to wake up early, so you lot sleep in the bedrooms. Also, you're athletes. Your bodies have to be taken care of."

Iwaizumi sighed. "(Y/N)-san, you—" He was interrupted by the door of their room being knocked. They all questioningly glanced before Ushijima opened it. They were surprised to see a... butler with a genial smile.

"So you are (Y/N)-chan's guests. Hello there," Seichiro greeted.

"Ah! Sei-san, it's nice to see you again!" (Y/N) waved her hand at the male.

Hanamaki blinked. She really knows everyone...

"It's nice to see you, too, (Y/N)-chan, it has certainly been a while." Seichiro turned to the girl's companions. "Dinner has been served for all of you. Please follow me to the cafeteria." He winked, making (Y/N) blush. Her companions saw this and made sour faces. They didn't like the look on her face. But it was understandable. Seichiro was very pretty after all, with his long cyan hair and identical-colored eyes. "Let's go now."

"Alright!" (Y/N) grinned, hopping behind the butler. "So, Sei-san, Sei-san, how are things going around here? Is it doing alright?" She excitingly asked, eager to know the people's conditions nowadays.

Seichiro chuckled and ruffled the girl's head. "Things are going better. Even finer after you helped us. And, even more when you asked Tobio-kun to help us." This quite stunned the girl's companions. This 'Tobio' was very close to her to the point that some people are used to her with him by his side, huh? He looked around, smiling politely. "Speaking of Tobio-kun, I don't see him around. If you don't mind me asking, where is he?"

"Tobio's practicing something with his teammates. But it's already seven thirty o'clock, so he should be going home by now," (Y/N) answered with a chuckle. "Oikawa-san, did you meet Tobio earlier?"

Oikawa flinched. "I-I did... How did you know?"

"Just got a feeling, tee-hee!" (Y/N) stuck out her tongue from the side. The handsome brunette looked at her as if she was some sort of alien, (Y/N) kinda didn't like looks like that, so she breathed out in exasperation and told him the truth, "There is... uh... Let's say I met your nephew, Takeru, and taught him a little how to play volleyball?" Her questioning tone made the others gape. How can she say something so honest and confusing at the same time?

Oikawa pouted. "You knew my nephew and you didn't even tell me?"

(Y/N) laughed. "It's not like that. I only knew when we met at the appliance store. I didn't know how to bring it up, so... yeah, I never got the chance to tell you." She smiled sheepishly. "Sorry about that, Oikawa-san."

Who's going to stay mad after hearing that? "It's fine..." Realization hit Oikawa. He remembered his nephew talking about someone before Inter-High finals. He was busy at that time so he wasn't able to help out.

But, he clearly recalled the young boy described that 'someone' as strange, yet very pretty, modest and kind. He even remembered Takeru saying that the girl was so good at teaching that all of the children surrounding them got better in a span of the week she has been in Lil'Tykes Volleyball. He actually remembered all of it since Takeru wasn't the type to like every people he meets.

The brunette's heart warmed. So... it was (Y/N)-chan...? He pursed his lips, gaze suddenly interested at the ground that he was walking at. I don't why, but I'm so glad that it was her who taught Takeru to play. He blinked, curiously gazing at her. "Then, by teaching... does that mean that (Y/N)-chan can play volleyball?"

(Y/N) shook her head. "Nah, I can't." Well, that's a lie. I kinda know how to after watching Tobio and national volleyball matches every single day, but who cares about that? She sweatdropped.

Iwaizumi gawked. He knew Takeru, and he heard from the kid himself that their substitute coach at that time was so good at teaching that even the veterans around them learned a lot. "You serious there?"

"Yep, when have I not been?" (Y/N) frankly said.

"(Y/N)-chan, you're never serious, you're just honest," Tendo stated.

Seichiro chuckled. "I agree. (Y/N)-chan never lies."

"I can lie, too!" (Y/N) pouted. "For example, I'm human!"

"Definitely not a lie," chorused the athletes and the butler.

Kunimi was the only one who agreed with her and blinked. She's really lying about that though...? He flinched, wondering to himself why he thought like that. Yeah, why did I think that it was a lie? Strange... His gaze wandered to the sulking (H/C)-haired girl. Even from the very first moment we met, I think I knew to myself that there was something different about her. He inclined his head at the side. Why is that exactly?

"We're here now."

Seichiro's firm yet soft demand earned the attention of everyone. The volleyball players and the medical journalists marveled in amazement at the buffet room. The exterior design of the hotel and the rooms were already impressive, but this royal... Greek-themed room? It was beyond incredible. There was a large round table with expensive-looking food. And exorbitant seats where the rest of Inarizaki were already sitting at. Some of them noticed (Y/N) and her group and waved their hands to catch their attention.

"Holy shit, are we still in Japan?" (Y/N) mumbled to herself while taking a seat in between Kunimi and Suna.

"Who knows..." The brunette trailed off, still looking around despite being here for three minutes now.

Seichiro chuckled. "You're just being modest and speaking kinda nonsense, (Y/N)-chan, you helped us make this. You're the one who designed this."

"WHAT?!" Some of them bellowed in shock.

(Y/N) shushed the butler. "Sh...! I told you not to say that, Sei-san!" She crossed her arms. "Why are people around me yelling so much? It's not like I'm doing anything unusual!"

"Um, 'ya are not doing some normal things," Aran couldn't help but say.

"E-Eh? Ojiro-san, so mean!"

"S-Sorry, (Y/N)-san!"

"You're way too versatile, (Y/N)-san," Iwaizumi stated.

"Hehe! Feel free to call me 'multipurpose Deiern!'" (Y/N) proudly declared with a huff.

"We can't even pronounce your surname," Matsukawa said, taking a bite from the food on the table.

(Y/N) comically cried. "I know that...! I know that...! Why did you have to remind me of my fucking complicated sur—"

"It's just Deiern. How is it hard?" Atsumu intervened, eyebrow raised in genuine confusion.

Oh dear. Seichiro was already knew what was going to come.

"Atsumu-san..." (Y/N) mumbled. She stood up slowly from her seat, uncharacteristically quiet, which startled a lot of her companions. Once she stood in front of Atsumu, her eyes glimmered at the blonde who flinched along with his seatmates. Despite being used to having so much admirers, the Miya twin blushed when calloused yet gentle hands clasped his. "Please marry me!"

"HA?!"

Her statement caused a lot to frown in distaste. Some were amused while some were just... interested at what was about to come next.

Seichiro waved his hand with a dead smile. "Have a great meal!"

Atsumu looked away, unbelievably and unusually flustered at the declaration. He answered without thinking, "U-Um... sure...?"

(Y/N) beamed and jumped. "Woohoo! Pog! Pog! Somebody finally accepted my proposal! Pog! Pog!" This made Atsumu freeze. Finally? Did that mean that... she already asked more people to take their hand in marriage?

Osamu smirked. "Looks like yer not that special, Tsumu."

Atsumu's shoulders slumped down. "Shut up, Samu."

His reaction caused (Y/N) to pout. She thought that he was sad to accept her proposal when in reality, he was just disappointed by being who knows what number he is on (Y/N)'s list to get proposed at? Looks like he was just forced to say yes. Ha... "I'm never getting married in my life..." she muttered.

"You are still young, (Y/N)-san. Enjoy life to the fullest first," Kita advised.

(Y/N)'s mouth turned into an 'O'. "Yeah, you're right, Shinssan!"

"Shinssan...?" Kita mumbled, but was ignored when (Y/N) went back to her seat to eat.

"Στην υγειά μας!" (Y/N) cheered. (Meaning: Cheers/Toast!)

What language was that? All of them pondered. But, they all shrugged it off and gobbled on the food in front of them. This was a rare opportunity, so why not achieve it to the fullest? Meanwhile, while everyone was going on with their own businesses, some chatting to their seatmates and their fellow athletes... One was just clicking aggressively on his Nintendo Switch. (Y/N) blinked and gulped the food that she was eating.

"Kunimi, aren't you going to eat?" She quietly inquired.

The dark-brown haired first year stiffened before answering with an equally quiet voice, "I'm sorry... I don't... really have a strong appetite."

(Y/N) gently smiled. "Oh no, it's okay, don't apologize. You don't have to force yourself to eat." She leaned slightly at his side, making sure to keep her distance to not make him uncomfortable. "What are you playing over there?"

She notices every little thing and she's just so considerate about it. Kunimi thought and pointed at the game that he was playing. "This?" (Y/N) nodded. The male blinked at how... eager she was to know about something and replied, "Ah, this game is called Jump King. I bought the game since it was really popular. But... I'm just getting pissed off every single time. I keep on falling. It's annoying." He scowled. He flinched, realizing his actions. He waved his hand. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't really mean to—"

"Pft!" Kunimi's breath hitched at her little snicker. He glanced at her, momentarily spellbound at her warm eyes. (Y/N) said, "I apologize for laughing like that! It just suits how you someone as quiet as Kunimi can rage over a game! You're pretty similar to someone I know!"

Dark eyes fluttered. "Someone... you know...?"

"Kozume Kenma, a great friend of mine, and a wonderful setter from Tokyo," (Y/N) said. Kunimi hummed, urging for her to continue. "You both have... like the same vibe. I bet that if you two met, you'd get along immediately. He's much more extreme than you though, when it comes to games." She took a bite on her steak before speaking once more, "You may have heard of him though. What was Kenma-san's username again? Ah, right. Applepi."

!... Kunimi's lips separated due to shock. "Applepi? The number one player in Japan?"

What the fuck, Kenma-san. (Y/N) deadpanned. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I am. Applepi is known to rank number one in various games." Kunimi mumbled, "To think that he played volleyball like us..." He gazed at her, properly meeting her gaze this time without feeling any awkwardness. "That's amazing, (Y/N)-san. You really do know a lot of people."

To get complimented by Kunimi...! And not even the word 'strange' came out from his mouth! (Y/N) held her chest. "M-My goodness... Thank you...!" Her seatmate couldn't help but the small curve of his lips. This lady really brought happy vibes. She can make everyone happy without any effort. If she did try to make someone happy, they would definitely feel over the top. Kunimi blinked when he saw the curiosity lingering on her (E/C) orbs.

Kunimi held his console and gave it to (Y/N). "If you would you like, do you want to play this game, (Y/N)-san?"

"Eh?! Really, I can?!" (Y/N) excitingly said.

"Of course. Just don't break it though," Kunimi told her.

"I'll definitely protect your Switch, Kunimi!" (Y/N) determinedly said.

Kunimi chuckled. "You definitely will."

Oh, he laughed. (Y/N) averted her gaze and fanned her face. That's precious. And adorable. And cute. And beautiful. And—

"Would you like me to teach the controls to you?" Kunimi's voice cut in her thoughts.

"S-Sure!" (Y/N) stammered, embarrassed that she was almost caught fangirling about the stoic male's smile. Kunimi was a little bewildered at her reaction, but he lightly smiled and softly murmured the controls to her. (Y/N) listened intently, nodding, commenting and asking some questions if needed. Once Kunimi was done explaining, she gave him a thumbs-up. "I think I kinda... got this!"

Kinda? And what's with that pause? The male sweatdropped. He leaned back on his seat to properly watch her play. But instead, he was mesmerized by her concentrated look. She was still smiling, however something about her expression felt... dignified. Something that didn't feel familiar. He stared at the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There really is something different about her. I'll just have to confirm it later.

He glanced back at her, gaping at the sight. "You're at Chapel Perilous? Already?" I was just looking away for like... a minute! He thought in shock.

(Y/N) blinked and hummed. "Oh yeah! This game is really fun. It's like the other game Kenma-san made me play! What was it called again? Ah, yeah, Getting Over It? You know that?" Kunimi nodded, gape widening at the mention of the game. That was another rage game that he didn't have the patience to finish. (Y/N) went back to playing and asked, "Am I that still far from the end?"

"You're at like the third stage before the end, (Y/N)-san."

"..." (Y/N) almost dropped the Nintendo Switch. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I'm serious."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. You're even about to break a world record."

(Y/N)'s jaw slowly dropped. "...Wow, jump shit."

Kunimi nodded.

"Jump shit indeed."

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

"That was a great meal and experience with Kunimi and the others..."

(Y/N) muttered to herself. She was outside the hotel room that they were staring at. She was standing before the rails of the balcony, hands resting on the metal fences blocking it. She smiled, (E/C) orbs glowing lightly at the street lamps on the road that she was gazing at. She stretched her arms, tilting her head up at the sky.

"Father, why are people so scared of me?"

"...It's because you're strange, (Y/N)." (F/N) looked back at her daughter with trembling lips. He didn't hold back his words. Only speaking of the truth of what he saw and observed. He dropped the potato that he was carving up and trailed off with immense sadness. "To this village, you're considered a monster."

"I see..." The four-year old (Y/N) blinked. "I understand..." She smiled. A smile that lost hope. A smile that surrendered to reality. "I'll never make friends then."

(F/N) gazed at her, tears welling up on his silver eyes. "Yeah... maybe that's true..."

"I still love everyone in the village though! It's okay!" The young (Y/N)'s statement made the adult turn to her in absolute bewilderment. "If it's for the happiness of everyone, then I don't mind being alone for the rest of my life!" She beamed, arms raising in the air. "If everyone can smile without me, then that's fine!"

'No, no... that's not fine at all.' (F/N) dropped whatever he was holding to embrace his daughter. (Y/N) was gobsmacked by her father's action. She was about to ask what was wrong, but her eyes widened when she heard her father mumble over and over again, "I'm sorry, my dear. If only I wasn't like this... If only I was stronger... You wouldn't have to go all through this. I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..." He sobbed.

"Don't apologize, Father, you didn't do anything wrong at all! Not even the slightest!" (Y/N) smiled and patted the dumbfounded (F/N)'s head. "Father is fine the way he is! Don't regret for who you are. You're already so strong! You're so incredible! I'm proud of you!" She beamed, holding her father's face to gently stretch the ends of his lips.

"Smile! It's okay! I don't know if I'm going to live long enough to make friends, so I'm not expecting anything. But, as long as you're here with me... as long as everyone is really really happy... then that's more than enough! I'm happy!"

The sixteen year old (Y/N) smiled at the memory.

Father, if you're watching me right now. Can you see this?

She glanced at the room and smiled amusingly to see Iwaizumi and Oikawa hitting each other.

I've met so many people and... made so much friends.

She tucked some of her (H/C) locks away from her face.

Are you proud of me?

❝Yes, of course, I am. I love you.❞

A/N: Hi everyone! This update was late, lmao. I was busy spending my brain cells with my Genshin book. And, school has been shitty. We're moving to the last quarter after all, so teachers are giving us torture, lmao.

Oh, oh, how was this chapter? I think it got a little emotional in the end? I don't know lol. I think I've gotten a little rusty because of how busy I've been with school works, sksksk.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed it! Stay safe and healthy! See you at the next chapter! Sending lots of love to all of you!
