It was well after midnight when Jisoo was awakened by rustling that came from downstairs. She wa sure it wasn't her mind playing tricks on her, as even Dalgom woke up as well. Confused, the Maltese dog jumps down from the bed and scratches the door, wanting to go down to check.

The raven gulped, could it be a robber? Or worse, a kidnapper? Jisoo grabs her phone as a flashlight and a golf club that she bought to play golf with the rest of her family as a self-defense weapon. It wasn't ideal, because if this was indeed a criminal, they would probably knock her out with a single chop to the neck or just shoot her.

Either way, Jisoo was not one who just surrenders. She tells Dalgom to be quiet, and the dog lets out a small woof. She opens the door as quietly as possible, and the raven steps out, Dalgom trailing behind her. They walked downstairs while Jisoo turns on the flashlight, scanning the living room first.

She heard more rustling and immediately stopped. It definitely came from the kitchen. Jisoo could hear her dog letting out a small growl, and quickly shushed him before the intruder could notice.

Jisoo tiptoes over, hiding in a corner, waiting to ambush the robber who was looking through her fridge (probably), most likely stealing her milk cartons. The raven turns off her phone before jumping out from hiding and turning on the lights, catching the intruder off guard.

"HA! I GOT YOU CORNERED NOW!" Jisoo holds her golf club tighter, only to realize that the so-called robber/kidnapper was just a cat. The raven quirked an eyebrow, before realizing that one of the windows was open. That must be how the cat got inside.

Before she could do anything, Dalgom barked loudly, scaring the cat. Jisoo's dog began to chase the cat that ran to the living room.

"WAIT DALGOM-" Jisoo tried to go after them, but the cat zoomed past the raven and jumped out of the open window where it came from. Dalgom continued barking, warning the cat to never come into their house ever again.

Jisoo sighed, "This is why I never bring you whenever I'm going to Lisa's." The raven picked Dalgom up and walked back to her bedroom. "I must've accidentally left that window open." She puts down the Maltese dog on her bed before going back down to close the window.

Hopefully, no cat will disturb her beauty sleep again.

---

It rained heavily on Saturday, and Jisoo was watching a movie on her TV with some popcorn while her dog was peacefully asleep upstairs. Normally, the raven would bring him with her but she really didn't want to wake him up.

A loud thunder suddenly struck and the raven jumped, popcorn falling everywhere on her couch.

"God dang it!" She groaned. Placing the bowl of popcorn on the table, she picks up the fallen pieces one by one when suddenly Dalgom began barking very, very loudly.

"Huh? What's going on?" Jisoo went to the trash can, throwing the popcorn away before she ran upstairs, worried as she heard her dog barking louder and scuffling could be heard as she got closer to the door.

The raven opened the door and was met with Dalgom who immediately ran to her side, another open window (she really needs to remember to close them), and a wet cat that was hissing at him.

Jisoo squinted for a moment before realizing that was the same cat that got in yesterday. Instead of jumping out the window, the cat ran in between the raven's legs, surprising her.

"H-hey! Come back here you!" She ran out of the room to chase the cat, she didn't see where it went but thankfully Dalgom could sniff it out and barked as he ran after the brown tabby cat. Jisoo followed him and was a little confused when her dog stopped in front of the bathroom door that was somehow closed.

She tries to open the door but it was locked. "What the..." The raven tries to open it again, but it wouldn't budge. Jisoo was contemplating whether she should kick the door down or call a firefighter when she heard something that sounded like a tiny whimper, although it was hard to tell due to the heavy rain.

"Hello?" Jisoo said with a calmer voice. Maybe if she acted nicely, the cat would just magically open the bathroom door and walk out of the house with no problem. Unfortunately, even the raven knew that won't happen, but hey, at least it would ease the hissing cat.

She looked down on the floor and practically jumped when she saw something bright shining through the gaps of the bathroom door. Just before she could get a closer look, it disappeared. "Oh God, I must be seeing things... I knew I shouldn't have eaten that specific brand of popcorn! Now I'm hallucinating and I'll soon be mind-controlled by an alien..." The raven panicked.

Dalgom got closer towards the bathroom door and sniffed it a couple of times. Jisoo stopped pacing back and forth for a moment and got down to Dalgom's level. "What's up?" He sniffed one more time before barking, and to Jisoo's surprise, she heard what sounded like a girl yelping.

"Huh? Hello?" Jisoo was... confused. So confused in fact she wouldn't be surprised if this was some lucid dream. Thinking it was a lucid dream, the raven tries to make an infinitely-regenerating piece of fried chicken and closed her eyes, hoping it would pop out on her hand. She opened it only to be disappointed.

"This can't be a dream..." She slapped herself on the face. "Yup, definitely not..." Maybe this was a strange way of robbing. Maybe the girl stuck in her bathroom was some sort of amateur robber, yeah that would make sense.

"Could you open the door? I promise I won't hurt you." She said. The raven waited for a while before sighing, she was about to go call the police or maybe even the firefighter when she heard the door slowly opening.

Jisoo turned around and signaled for Dalgom to be quiet, in fear the small Maltese might scare whoever was in her bathroom on a rainy night. The door opened and revealed a brown-haired girl wearing a white hoodie and ripped pants, she was completely drenched from the rain and was shivering.

The raven then noticed two spiky things that seemed to pop out of the brunette's head, clearly visible despite being covered with the hood. She looked down and noticed a brown tail in between the girl's legs.

"Sorry... it's so cold outside, and I-I don't really like the rain... especially the t-thunders..." The real life catwoman said, fidgeting.

"Oh, um... you can grab a towel and dry yourself. I don't really suggest going out in the rain, so maybe you can stay in for the night? We could chit-chat over some hot cocoa, if you want to, that is." The raven proposed. The brunette meekly nodded and grabbed a towel to dry herself.

"Dalgom, go back to sleep, okay?" The dog woofed a yes before going back to Jisoo's bedroom. The stranger visibly gulped at the Maltese, but Jisoo didn't notice.

"You're done?"

"Y-yeah."

"Come on, I'll make you that hot cocoa I was talking about earlier."

---

The unexpected guest sat down on the comfortable couch in front of the TV that was playing a commercial and bowl of popcorn. She looked around her surroundings, she didn't want to be here again but it was the only place she was slightly familiar with.

She held the blanket around her tighter, feeling a little anxious. She slowly let down her hood, revealing the small cat ears on her head, matching her hair color almost perfectly.

Jisoo came back with a cup of hot chocolate, handing it over to the brunette who muttered a thank you before blowing on it and taking a sip. The raven sat down, making sure to keep her distance in order for the cat lady to not feel uncomfortable.

"So..." She began to address the elephant in the room. "Who are you? Actually, scratch that. What are you?" The brunette sighed as she placed the cup on the table next to the popcorn bowl.

"Um... I'm a cat-human hybrid. I was created in an experimental lab all about creating a new humanoid sub-species with beneficial traits from animals. That's the best I could explain." Jisoo nodded, pretending she understands. This is definitely a sci-fi movie plot, the hybrids are going to rise and take over the world!

But, then again, this hybrid is scared of rain, thunder, dogs, or even random sounds. The raven is sure they won't take over the world yet.

"So, if you're from a lab, why are you here? In a random neighborhood?" She couldn't help but ask.

"I ran away. All the testing and experiments they did were inhumane, and I couldn't take it anymore, I sneaked out and ran as fast as possible and stumbled upon your neighborhood. I tried looking for an open window to get in since I was exhausted." The brunette explained.

"Ah, I see. You can transform to an actual cat then?" She nodded.

"Yeah, but it makes me tired really quickly."

"Wow..." Jisoo exhaled. "Sorry, this just feels like a movie." She apologized.

"What's your name?" The raven asked. She watched as the catwoman frowned hearing the question.

"RJ." The brunette answered.

"Just RJ?" She nodded, looking down. "What does it stand for?"

"Ruby Jane. But I don't really like it. It just reminds me of that place too much." She grabbed the hot cocoa and drank more. The brunette looked to her side and sees Jisoo thinking about something.

"I'll give you a new name then!" Jisoo eagerly told her. She tilted her head to the side, curious.

"How about Jennie Kim? Jennie because it... kinda sounds similar to Jane, and Kim because it's also my surname!" The raven explained, her eyes twinkled, hoping she would accept it.

"Jennie..." She repeated while Jisoo waited patiently.

"Sure, I like Jennie." She smiled and Jisoo immediately hugged her, shocking the brunette as she giggled happily "I knew you would like it!".

Jennie whined a little from surprise, and the raven immediately lets go of her, much to her disappointment. "Sorry, I didn't realize you disliked physical contact." Jisoo apologized, pouting ever so slightly. She must've gotten the wrong idea.

"N-no... It's okay... I actually liked it..." She really didn't want to admit it out loud, but the raven's hugs felt so warm and comforting Jennie could basically fall asleep in her arms.

The brunette played with the hem of her hoodie while Jisoo watched with a confused gaze. "Do it again..." Jisoo smiled brightly and hugged her again, this time a little more careful, however.

"You can stay here as long as you want, Jennie!" The raven said. Jennie closed her eyes as she leaned in closer to the embrace. She could stay like this forever.

Things were finally going okay for her.
