Standing in front of Mr. Sea eyes was another story, he scrutinized me with a spookily calm expression. Then he tossed a document on the table.

"The information in this company is confidential. So are the documents Miss. Gray, I don't want it missing or being forged. You know the risk of such a thing happening." *Jail, His feet were crossed and his finger was an emerald ring that looked centuries old. Something to do with lineage, I guess.

"Very well, sir." I reached for the document. "Where shall I put this?" I asked.

He looked at me and averted his gaze. "Give it to Mr. Eastern Sr. Intact." He added.

"Very well, sir." I turned around and left with the document without a look back.

*life was about to get rough for me.

The first thing I did when I got back from work was to take a great shower and relax, my day was shitty thanks to the not-so-funny boss with green eyes. He thinks he can treat me like shit, let him wait, I'll find a way to retaliate.

My doorbell went off along with my cheeky pet, who barked in alarm. I strode to the door peeping through the hole before opening the door with a surprised look plastered on my face. I was only in my bathing robe.

"Hello, Anna." Phoebe walked in along with Josh.

"Oh Hey!" I said nervously.

"Are you ready?" she asked.

"Ready?" I raised a brow.

She sighed, holding her hand up to her forehead. "Don't tell me you forgot."

I smiled nervously. "Forgot what?"

Josh burst out laughing, we both glared at him, this made him feel uncomfortable.

"Um, I'll be in the chicken." He walked away.

"27th, outing." She snapped her fingers.

"Oh my God. I'm a very horrible friend. I collapsed on the couch. "I forgot again," I said as I could feel tears stinging the corners of my eyes.

Phoebe sat down next to me. "It's okay, I know how much you love outings and it is not normal that you forgot. So tell, what happened today, you look like a ghost." She said while trying to soothe me.

"It's all because of a son of bitch with green eyes. I mean who the fuck does he think he is? He ordered me to be his secretary and behind his orbs like Dracula, I can see nothing good. He has a plan for me and I won't let him succeed." I boomed at once.

Phoebe huffed. "The junior. You met him already. Darling, you're roasted." She added.

I glared at her. "I know. Mr. Arnold told me."

"I don't wanna get fired, I still need the job," I said to her,

"You won't be fired, don't be so pessimistic," Phoebe assured me.

I looked at her with my puppy dog eyes. "Okay."

"Now can we deal with a different subject? Like getting dressed and going out?" She smiled.

"Is it not too late?" I asked.

"We're adults, darling." She winked. Our attention was brought to the kitchen when we heard one of my glasses going down thanks to clumsy Josh.

"Yeah, we really have to get out before he destroys everything. And if I'm going to get fired I won't waste my money replacing plates." I almost yelled but I tried to keep my calm. I was not going to let the vermin of a boss ruin my mood.

*2 months later.

Heals waking, grips trembling so were my knees, my breath was hitched in my throat as my teeth were jammed together as I held on. We could call it a mountain of files. The files were so much that they covered my view and they were heavy, making things worse for me. I was a woman of exercise but I was not Athena or wonder woman. I was a woman, a real woman who loves heels that dumped her in shit.

I threw an unstable step as I tried to reach the elevator before my devil of a boss with emerald eyes. I wished there and then that I didn't wear those god damn heels.

Each step I took announced my pending fall, we were walking towards the elevator which meant a lot of other workers were in the hallway. And those workers couldn't miss a moment like that. A Secretary struggling after her arrogant and spoilt boss who didn't slow a bit in steps and kept walking like he was programmed for it while I kill myself behind him.

I somehow believe the people in the company were used to me, the very busy Secretary of Mr. Devil. Who would run the halls and hop into the elevators with a baffling amount of files, her hairs are barely pulled in a neat bun. Everyday.

Life was hell the time I was working for Mr. Handsome devil with green eyes. But I was getting my pay, more than my expectations. It was all I needed but at the same time, I was wondering if I should quit to something less tiring, hard job pays. Phoebe had always told me, but I don't see who cares how hard you work.

I heard the shuffling of the elevator as it parted for us to come in. I waited a bit being blinded by the stack of files all I had to do was assume Mr. Emerald eyes had gone in while I waited and launched forward. Bad choice, very bad choice.

I collided with a hard figure. And the files all dropped and poured out sheets inside them.

My eyes widened. "I-I'm so sorry, Sir." I blurted while throwing myself down to pick the files and arrange them before the elevator dings or I was fired. It was not the first time. I managed to do so while he glared at me.

"You should find a job that pays for clumsiness, or would I prefer to say stupidity?" He raised a serious brow at me.

"It was a mistake." I gulped down the frustration that was building up in my chest.

"I'll fire you some time you'll see." He said more to himself than me.

We got out of the elevator and walked right into his office where I dumped the files.

"What meetings do I have scheduled for today?" He asked while dropping his keys carefully on his well-arranged desk, not by me. That was so obvious the little time I spent being his secretary told me one thing. He was an organized person, I would say he is the son of his mother. I mean which man on earth would care to know if the picture frame matches his desk color, or if it is in the right angle?

"I'll mail it to you immediately, sir," I said.

"Okay." He lowered to his desk chair with his eyes on his desk. I turned around and left.

A few minutes later, a pair of business shoes approached my desk and I looked in right in the middle of my work just to see. Mr. Eastern Sr.

I sat up and greeted him properly. He nodded my way before walking into his son's office. I sat down and continued my job but I had to pause. Curiosity was killing me. Why would the CEO want to see his son in his son's office?

He could have ordered him to come up, not only was he the boss he was also his Father.

"No." I heard my boss' voice from behind the door, it was a little too loud and I was determined to listen. The cc camera was facing the entrance so I had my chance. I slowly slipped away to the basket near the door like I was discarding some error files but, boy! I was not missing that for anything on earth.

"You need to take your life in your hands, Chris."

"My life is already in my hands."

"Not like this."

"I don't think your solution would help, you're soon retiring. I need to focus."

"That's true and I need you to prove just how much you can keep this company together."

"You know I am capable, father, don't taste my leadership."

"I'll only sign the final papers for you to access the company and retire when you'll prove to me that you can keep a home together, and you know what I mean by that. Charity begins at home, son."

"I can't, I don't have patience for that."

"You better find it, if you ever want me to retire one day. If you're ready let me know."

"Father."

I heard footsteps retreating to the door so I quickly returned to my desk before Mr. Eastern walked out.

"Miss. Gray to my office right now." I walked quickly to his office.

"You left a document in the elevator, it was confidential, it was the CEO who brought it to me. You know what that means." He started, his voice was cold and so was his emerald gaze. I've never found any other words to describe him other than dark and cold.

"You're fired."

"I'm quitting."

We both said at the same time. I suck in a breath, concluding I was better off without a lash on my neck.

"I'm quitting, good luck with finding someone who can bear you." I turned around and stomped out.

"At least you can count yourself lucky, two months and Two weeks, that's a new score." He called out. It sounded like a mockery to me.

I gathered my stuff and left. I met Mr. Eastern Secretary who gave me a badge and a cheque.

"You beat the score. The contract stipulates that if you do so this will be added to you as well." I nodded before walking off after receiving my last pay.

Never again... I had better to do, but nothing like tending to a fantasy home.
