A knock on my hospital room door made me stop in my tracks.
Alessandro came in with a wide grin on his face.
"Why are you smiling like that?", I aksed with narrowed eyes.
"Can't I come to pick my favorite cousin?" He said raising a brow.
"Not at all, I just thought that papà was going to pick me up with matt.. just a minute, I'll bring my stuff that are inside, and we can leave", I replied, pointing at the bathroom doors.
Today I was going back home, i just thought that papà or one of my brothers will pick me up.
Not that I mind sandro, but it's my first time going back home in a while.
I don't know what I was thinking.
I sighed and exited the bathroom after collecting my stuff.
He held my bag that contained the clothes they brought me, and held his hand out.
I hesitated, "sorry, I'm still not used to touching men", I said lowering my head.
It's true, beside my brothers , seb, and papà, I can't touch any other man, even nonno.
I still feel a bit not safe I think, I know they would never hurt me, but I'm not to be blamed.
I felt tears start to form in my eyes just at the thought of what happened in that place.
"Yeah, it's okay... and Viola.. don't apologize", he smiled warmly at me.
I like that they understand why I don't feel good about touching them.
We made our way out and reached the mansion in a few.
I wasn't allowed to stay at our medical bay by Luca, he said that I should stay at the hospital, because he never knows what might happen, and we don't have every single machine and tool he needs in case something happened.
I wonder what might happen.
"Where's everyone?", I asked sandro once we entered the big estate.
It was way too calm for my liking.
"No idea.. why not go to your room, and I'll go check okay?", he smirked and scratched the back of his head.
I narrowed my eyes at him, and made my way upstairs.
Something's fishy, I can feel it.
I sighed and opened my bedroom door, it looked the same, I opened the curtains for some light to go in.
It was still early, but not that early, that's why I was wondering where the boys were, and it's the weekend, no school.
I sighed and opened my walk in closet doors, I sniffed the sent of my own perfume, and changed to some oversized clothes.
I hummed a random tune, and walked out.
"AHH", I screamed at the sight.
"You scared the shit out of me", I sighed at the girls.
When the hell did they get here.
"Oh, god, I missed you, it totally sucks being the only girl, i have no idea how you used to do it", frowned ava hugging me.
I smiled at her, "whatcha doing here?", I asked them.
"Well, we.. have a surprise for you...", grinned tia guilia.
"..And matt", continued tia val.
I narrowed my eyes at them when I noticed a dress bag on my swinging bed.
"That, la mia cara.. is also a surprise", replied nonna laying on my bed.
I went towards her, and put my head on her chest as she was laying on my bed, "no really, what's happening?" I asked again.
She stroked my hair, "we're here to get you ready, we'll be having a few guests", said nonna.
I groaned, I hate people now.
"And no, you cannot skip, this is important", said tia guilia pointing her finger at me.
I hummed knowing there's no way out of this.
I got up, and opened the bag and saw a beautiful black dress, with a brocade top, the colors were so pretty.
(Instead of the pants is a black long bottom)
I held it in my hands.
"I'll do your hair", requested nonna.
I nodded and sat on a chair.
"How are you feeling?", asked tia val while putting her hand on mine.
I looked at her with a blank expression, "I don't know..", I replied truthfully.
I just feel lost, and empty.
She nodded in understanding.
Nonna put my hair in a neat low bun, and I wore the dress.
I looked at the mirror after Ava did my makeup.
I look beautiful yet again, because of the girls.
"We'll go, I'll send someone to come get you in a few, okay dear?", amsed tia guilia.
They dressed in the room with me.
I nodded and they left the room.
I glanced again at the mirror, and turned so I can look at my back, I scrunched my face in a sad expression.
My scars, they look bad on me.
I can't wear this.
I closely eyes and put my face in my palms.
"What are you thinking about?", asked a voice from behind me.
I know who it is, so I shook my head no, I don't even know what that means at this moment.
Seb hugged me from behind, "you're looking gorgeous", he said in a matter of factly tone.
I shook my head again in the same position.
"Amore, look at me", he said removing his arms and standing in front of me.
I need a hug, so I pulled him by his waist, and held him tightly.
I could hear his heartbeat, and that was calming, my heart beat with his.
I still feel flustered around him.
He hugged me back, "what is it, you good?", he asked in his accent.
I shrugged, and he pulled away.
I looked down finding our feet interesting, he's wearing a suit, I remarked.
"Look at me", he said, but I shook my head.
He crouched down so he could see my eyes.
He sighed, standing straight again.
He knows.
He stood behind me again and held my waist.
"Look up, princess", he whispered in my ear, sending shivers through my body.
I couldn't help but look up, I held his gaze in the mirror.
"What do you see?", he asked, and I scrunched my brows together.
"What do you see?", he asked again.
I looked at myself in the mirror, "you and me?", I answered, but it came out more like a question.
He turned me so I was facing him, "look at the mirror without turning around", he said.
My body faced his, but my head was turned to the side so I can look at the mirror, I could clearly see my scars.
"What do you see?", he asked again.
"You, me.. my scars", I answered again.
"Do you want to know what I see?", he asked, and I nodded still looking at those marks that littered my back.
"I see a brave women, someone I love, a person who has been through way too much, a person who suffered what a human should never experience, a person who survived and fought.. and I see a strong lady, a princess, a warrior, a daughter, a sister, a lover.. a human being who saw and felt whatever comes in mind, and still that person is standing beside me, and she is the most wonderful girl in the world, she's the girl I love..she's my girl, I see the love of my life, and I also see the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on, and I like everything about her.. the way she talkes, the way she laughs, Oh God even the way she walks, I love her eyes, and I could get lost in them, and actually enjoy not being found, she's the girl who stole my heart with both her beauty and her personality, she's my girl, and she is imperfectly perfect.. and my girl never once ever gave up, and I love her", he said softly looking at my eyes the whole time.
My eyes started to tear up, and I swung my arms around his neck, and his found their place on my waist, "I love you", I mumbled against him.
I pulled back, and stared at my back in the mirror.
"Let them see that you fought.. they don't know a thing, what they do see when they glance at your marks is a survivor.. one that will not give up", he whispered in my ear and held my head high by my chin.
He walked away, and came back with my tiara, he put it on my head.
I noticed that it's completely changed, the blue and pink diamonds are now black and red, even the silver is now gold.
I stared wide eyed at it.
"I have no idea how they did it, but your tia val said that there ismore than one tiara, with many more different colors... I think money has it's benefits", he said while scratching his chin and pouting his lips making me chuckle.
"This is your day.. show them who you are", he said seriously.
