Finn pov
Friday night had come. Arthur had agreed to watch Lydia for me so I could go on this date. And I was so nervous. I was trying to find a suit to wear but I had no idea what to wear
"Daddy, wear this one" Lydia said pointing to one in my wardrobe
"Good choice" i agreed taking the suit off the hanger. I changed in the bathroom and walked back out to show Lydia
"How do I look?" I asked
"Hmmm....very handsome. But you need to sort your hair out" she said
"What's wrong with my hair?" I asked
"It's sticking up in all the wrong places" she said moving her hands for dramatic effect. I rolled my eyes but knelt down infront of her so she could sort it for me
"Much better" she smiled. I lifted her up and walked downstairs to see Arthur on the sofa
"I'm gonna start locking that door" i grumbled. I'm glad he's here but no one ever fucking knocks. I threw Lydia onto his knee making him groan and her squeal
"Looking good finn" Arthur said grinning
"I have this for you daddy" Lydia said handing me a piece of paper. It said
Rules for dating
1. Get her flowers
2. Hold doors for her including car doors
3. Ask her to dance
4. Don't step on her toes
5. Buy her drinks
6. When you're at her door to end the night, kiss her in the lips
7. Don't let Dan see you kissing for his own wellbeing
I chucked at the last one. I read them out to Arthur who agreed with them all
"Dan told me to add the last one" she explained making me laugh even more
"You could do alot more than kiss at the end of the night" Arthur said smirking. Lydia hit his chest and said
"No way. He can't fuck her on a first date. Otherwise the relationship won't last. He's gotta wait until they've been dating atleast 2 months so then Nessa knows he likes her and isn't just doing it for sex"
"Somehow, that makes sense. Well thanks for your help baby but i gotta be going now" I said kissing her head
"Be back by 11" she ordered.
"12" I told her
"Half 11 final offer" she said crossing her arms
"Fine" I whined. I gave Arthur instructions on bed times and food schedules before leaving for my date. God i was sweating with nerves
Nessa pov
I was so nervous for Friday night. So when it finally came, I didn't know if I should cry or smile. I went with a nervous sweat. I had a bath and wrapped a towel around my body before asking Dan to come in
"Help. Please" i said opening my wardrobe. He sat on the bed and studied the clothes I had. He chose a red dress that was good for dancing.
"Thanks darling" i said kissing his cheek.
"I have this for you" he handed me a piece of paper once I had got my dress and make up on
Rules for dating
1. Kiss his cheek when he gives you flowers
2. Thank him when he holds door open
3. Accept his request to dance
4. Don't step on his toes
5. Order drinks for him to buy
6. Kiss him at the end of the night outside the front door
7. Don't let me see the kiss for my own wellbeing
I couldn't help but giggle at the rules
"How do you know more about this than me?" I asked him
"I'm just that clever" he said tapping his head with one finger. I rolled my eyes but then heard a knock on the door
"How so I look?" I asked frantically
"Gorgeous" he said. I smiled at him. I went downstairs and opened the door. Finn was stood there with a big bouquet of flowers
"Thank you finn. They are beautiful" I complimented. I let him in and put the flowers in a vase
"Dan come here a minute" i yelled. Dan came running down the stairs and stopped halfway
"Ye"
"There is food on the side for you. Don't use the oven and I want you in bed by 9" I ordered
"10" he said
"9 and that's final" i said sternly. He huffed
"Whos babysitting me?" He asked
"Miss Wood next door said she would check on you every hour. If you need anything you can go her house. Her door is open so you don't gotta knock" i said. He nodded so I went to kiss his cheek and then we left.
Finn held the door open for me. I thanked him and got in the car
"So Dan is staying home alone?" He asked
"Ye. I know he's young but I don't have much choice. He does it every time I got to work so now isn't much different" I explained
Finn pov
"I'm not judging. He seemes perfectly capable. Im just imagining if I left Lydia without help for more than 10 minutes. I don't think I would have a house left" I chuckled. She laughed and it was like music to my ears.
We made it to the club and I opened the door for her. We linked arms as we walked in. It was very loud but what can you expect. The whole night was spent dancing and drinking. But not so much that we wouldn't remember tonight. I drive Nessa home and we stood outside the door. This was my chance
"Thanks for an amazing night. We should do it again sometime" she said
"Definetly. It was brilliant. Goodnight" I said. We stared into eachothers eyes before I plucked up the courage and leaned in. Our lips connected and its as if fireworks went off. I felt the connect and spark and I didn't want to part. Unfortunately I had no choice.
When I got home at quarter too 12, Lydia was sat on Arthur's knee waiting
"You mister are late" she said sternly
"I'm very sorry my love." I apologised kissed her head
"Did you have fun atleast?" She asked
"I did. We both did and it was an incredible night. We agreed on a second date aswell" I told her.
"Did you follow the rules?" She asked. I nodded my head
"Arthur did you hear that? Daddy kissed Nessa" she squealed jumping up and down excitedly
"OK OK. Let's get you to bed baby. Thank you for watching her Arthur. It's late. You staying the night?" I asked
"Ye. I can't be arse drive back now" he grumbled. He stood up and stretched out with a big yawn. I fell asleep with Lydia in my arms after talking to her for 45 minutes about the date. She was very interested and seemed even more happy than me. Maybe now we wouldn't be so alone. Me and Lydia would have someone else to share this massive house with. Maybe in the future
