(We start off in the Cerise laboratory)
Goh: (excited) yeah! Another trial mission!
Ash: wow let me see.
(Y/N): and me!
Goh: this mission is going to gage ingenuity and adaptability. Like before, I have 3 choices.
Ash: what's it gonna be?
Goh: that's a good question. (Thinks about it) this one. I'm going to catch a wild kingdra.
Ash: wild kingdra?
(Y/N): Ooh kingdra is a good Pokémon too.
Goh: no one can beat me at catching Pokémon, ya know.
(Y/N): I'm pretty sure I have more Pokémon caught than you but in the short amount of time you've been a trainer I guess you have a valid point.
Cerise: you're confident that's for sure,
Chrysa: alright (typing on the computer) look at the monitor.
(In the monitor a picture and information about kingdra shows up)
Chrysa: Kingdra, the dragon Pokémon, a water/dragon type. Kingdra lives in water so deep other Pokémon cannot live there. It is said kingdra's yawning can cause whirlpool like currents. If a Dragonite were to appear they would engage in a desperate battle.
Ren: it's said attempting to catch a wild kingdra is quite a difficult task.
Chrysa: that's why the usual way to acquire one is exchange evolution. When a seadra is traded while it's holding a dragon scale.
Cerise: it seems the usual way won't work here, can you do it?
Goh: (nervous) well... I....
Ash: piece a cake (hits Goh on the back) you're the best at catching Pokémon, aren't ya.
(Y/N): (does the exact same thing as Ash) besides it will be fun.
Goh: well, you're both right. Let's start then. (Checks his phone) if we find seadra's habitat, we may find it's evolved form, kingdra.
Ash: you're right.
Goh: here it is! A place in Hoenn where whirlpools are seen. The waters at Slateport city.
Ash: right! That means we're off to the Hoenn region.
(Y/N)/Goh/Ash: let's go!
(Timeskip: in Slateport)
Ash/Goh: here we are! Back in the Hoenn region!
Goh: we'll travel by Pokémon.
Ash: okay.
(Y/N): sounds easy enough. I choose you! (Throws two Pokeballs)
Goh: Come out! (He throws two pokeballs)
(On Goh's side we see mantyke and dewgong and on (Y/N)'s side we see marshtomp and barraskewda as they tie ropes to them with a little boat for Pikachu and grookey)
Goh: let's go straight ahead (he's on mantyke)
Ash: (on dewgong) mantyke, dewgong, barraskewda let's move.
(Y/N): yeah! (He's on barraskewda as marshtomp swims next to him)
Goh: why did you bring marshtomp out?
(Y/N): it's rock smash to hit away and try and scare off a certain Pokémon. (Shark boys be afraid)
Goh: okay?
(We skip ahead to see them swimming off)
Goh: okay. (They stop) now let's search the area.
(They put goggles on)
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): ready, set...
(They dive down as they dive down deeper we see a bunch of luvdisc as Goh uses his rotom phone which is in this protective thing)
Rotom phone: luvdisc, the rendezvous Pokémon, a water type. Luvdisc lives within warm ocean waters. It especially loves to sleep in the branches of corsola.
(Ash makes a noise and points as the other two look and see the luvdisc sleeping in some sleeping corsola's branches)
(Goh says "pokeball go!" but can't speak underwater so comes out as noises but as he throws it the water stops it and causes it to float up as the corsola and luvdisc wake up and run away as Goh looks gloomy as luvdisc approaches (Y/N) who holds a pokeball out and the luvdisc taps it itself and goes in and it gets captured)
Rotom phone: (also in a protective case) luvdisc has been registered to your Pokédex.
(We cut to them diving deeper where they look to see a feebas that freaks out as it sees them but little did they know (Y/N) saw it ages ago and has a pokeball ready and the feebas freaking out swims right into (Y/N)'s pokeball held hand as it shakes three times and pings)
Rotom phone: feebas has been registered to your Pokédex.
(A/N): I've got one more water type I want him to catch and then there won't be anymore water types I promise. Though I will give you a minor clue on what it is and it's a water/flying type. You're probably wondering why but the truth is it's in my top 10 favourite Pokémon. Anyway back to the story. Anyways, Back to the story.
(Despite this, the initial panicking of feebas catches Ash and Goh by surprise as they scream as they swim back up to the surface, with (Y/N) following, where Pikachu and grookey are as their resurface freaks the two Pokemon out)
Goh: (panting) not a single kingdra.
Ash: no sign of seadra either.
(Y/N): or even horsea for that matter.
Goh: I guess we'll have to dive a lot deeper huh.
Ash: guess so.
Goh/(Y/N)/Ash: ready, set...
(They dive down once again as Ash sees a corphish, Goh sees and flees from a cloyster, (Y/N) sees a quilfish in the distance as they dive down and Goh sees a clamperl, Ash encounters crawdaunt and (Y/N) sees a starmie and a wailmer in the distance)
(They dive deeper down as Goh sees something shine and gets off mantyke to check it out and finds a pottery fragment until something big is behind them as we see a big shadow as they turn to see a wailord that lands there and sends them up and blasts them to the surface with it's spout which shoots out a lot of water)
(From Pikachu and grookey's perspective they see a large amount of water shoot up into the air as it comes down like rain and a rainbow appears as Ash, Goh and (Y/N) come crashing down into the water as they pop their heads back up they hear a voice)
Male voice: what are you three playing with over there..
Goh: who is that?
(They look to see a ship and on the top miss an old guy, a powerful old guy, as it's a familiar face that Ash recognises)
Ash: could that be...
(The old guy smiles)
Ash: wow it's Blake!
Drake: that's Drake.
Goh: aren't you one of the Hoenn elite 4?
(Drake nods as he looks at Ash)
Drake: I remember you, your name is Slash.
Ash: uh, my name's Ash.
(Y/N): seems fair, you got his name wrong first.
(On the boat)
Drake: (chuckles) you want a wild kingdra.
Goh: right. Are there any in the area?
Drake: (nods) there are.
Goh: really?!
Ash: where Drake?
Drake: when I dove into a really deep spot.
(Flash back of him in a diving suit)
Drake: I was caught up in a whirlpool that dragged me down much much deeper, I saw a kingdra there. Just that one time.
Goh: I don't think we'll ever be able to dive deep enough to reach it. I know that we can go deeper.
(Y/N): yeah it's a just an incredible rare Pokemon to find in the vast, deep Pokémon we've encountered worse odds and prevailed before.
Goh: there are things you can't do even if you give it your best.
(Y/N): not with that mentality.
Ash: so you're calling it quits then.
(Y/N): sounds like it.
Goh: no way! I'm just wondering if there's a better way. Hold on...
Ash: what's up?
Goh: remember what they said they'd be basing the mission on, they said they wanted it done using ingenuity and adaptability.
Ash: that's right.
(Y/N): go on.
Goh: so that means... excuse me Drake. Back when you dove into the deep sea.
Drake: say no more. Alright, I'll lend you the equipment.
(Goh gets excited and has a big smile on his face)
Ash: yeah good for you.
Drake: however.
(They look at him)
Drake: only after you've helped me with my work.
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): your work?
Drake: that's right, treasure hunting.
(They hoist a thing into the water)
Goh: keep it coming.
(Y/N): easy does it. (To his Pokémon) there any signs of incoming danger?
(We see barraskewda, feebas, luvdisc on lookout under the water though feebas is hiding behind barraskewda and she is nervously peeking out)
(We see Pikachu, grookey, marshtomp and Shelgon hanging out)
Ash: (talking on a communicator) Drake, come in. How does it look?
(We see Drake in a swimsuit under the water looking at the ground and using a detector to try and find treasure as he hears Ash)
Drake: excellent. So far so good.
Goh: an ancient submersible that sank thousands of years ago.
Ash: it'd be awesome if we could find it.
Goh: for sure.
(Y/N): (from outside) I agree!
Goh: although, just standing here seems like a waste of time. Can Lucario help us out? (Gets pokeball ready)
Ash: huh? Sure but why?
(Goh sends out chinchou and Ash sends out Lucario)
Goh: now chinchou use supersonic under water. (Chinchou agrees) and at the same time Lucario can be picking up any waves
Ash: that makes sense, kinda like Pokemon radar. So can you do it?
(Lucario raises it's arm in the air as an indicator of yes it can)
(We see Lucario have it's hands in the water as chinchou sticks it's yellow antennae into the water and uses supersonic as waves emit like a radar as Lucario uses it's aura as it gets closer to the evenung)
Drake: soon the sun will set. It's about time to call it a day.
(Y/N)Ash/Goh: right.
(We also see (Y/N) returning his feebas, luvdisc and barraskewda as marshtomp is next to him)
(They hear Lucario as they look out at mantyke and Lucario)
Ash: what happened?
Goh: did you sense anything?
(Y/N): well our adventure isn't over.
(We see where Lucario points)
Ash/Goh: huh?
(They all rush to look where Lucario is pointing)
Goh: come on!
(With Drake)
Goh: (over communicator) Drake, head towards the sunset. There may be something in that direction.
Drake: hmm, got it. (Heads that way)
(Above water)
Goh: see anything?
Drake: (over communicator) nothing special. Huh? Hold on.
(We see him swimming and getting a closer look)
Drake: I found it. The ancient submersible. Not only that but it's shaped like a kingdra.
(Above water)
Goh: it's a kingdra?
(Underwater)
Drake: it wasn't here previously but it's too dangerous to be out here after dark (takes photos of it) we'll pick this up tomorrow. I'm heading back.
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): right.
(Timeskip: it's night time)
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): thanks. That was so good.
(We see Ash, Goh and (Y/N) drinking hot moomoo milk as Drake pours himself a drink of it)
Goh: it's sweet and delicious.
Drake: of course it is, it's warmed, fresh moomoo milk. Quite delicious. (Using a tablet and hands it ot them) now have a look.
Ash: wow so this is the ancient submersible?
Goh: but why would it be shaded like a kingdra?
Drake: don't know but the ancient culture that made this submersible must have thought kingdra was very important.
(Pikachu finishes his drink)
Goh: and that? (Referring to a urn with kingdra drawings on them)
Drake: well, when on a walk with shelgon I accidentally found this urn on the shore. When I researched it I found an old legend from this part of the sea. It talks about a submersible, an ancient culture that sank here with treasures still aboard. Treasure hunting has been a hobby since then and I go whenever I get a break from my elite 4 duties.
Ash: amazing,
Drake: a long time ago, I served aboard a huge sailing ship but smaller ships are good too
Goh: oh and that totally reminds me. I found this in the sea (hands over pottery fragment he found)
Drake: that certainly is the same type. You three bring good luck. You even managed to locate the submersible (laughs)
Ash: tell us Drake, what will you do after you find the treasure?
Drake: I'll look for the next one.
Goh: you seem to take all of this lightly.
Drake: well, I'm only searching out of a sense of fun and adventure.
(Shelgon agrees with him)
(Y/N): good for you.
Ash/Goh: so cool
Drake: we've got an early day tomorrow, time to get some sleep.
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): right.
(The next day)
Goh: Ash, (Y/N) and I are going?
Drake: that's right.
Goh: are you sure?
Ash: but you've been looking for the treasure all along
(Y/N): exactly.
Drake: you've all been searching for a big adventure like me, now go and catch yourself a wild kingdra
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): yes sir!
(We see them getting suited up)
Goh: if that ancient cultures views kingdra as some kind of symbol then maybe there will be some clues inside the submersible.
Ash: you're right! First we check the inside.
(Y/N): sounds like a plan.
Goh: okay.
Drake: take these with you too. (Hands them more equipment) even if you're separated from your air hose it'll give you air for 10 more minutes.
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): thank you very much.
(The three hop into the water as they swim down as they reach the submersible)
Ash: is that...
Goh: the ancient submersible! We're heading towards it now.
Drake: (over communication) take extra care, understand.
(They head down as they swim down they're knocked back)
(Drake hears the commotion)
Goh: (over communicator) we were hit by a strong current.
Drake: strong currents ey. That makes sense, that's why I didn't see it before, the submersible drifted. The current must be what moved it to the new location.
(With the trio)
Goh: it can do that?
Ash: Goh, (Y/N), let's move.
Goh: right.
(Y/N): good thing we have swimsuits if we went without them we'd more than likely be toast.
(They slowly make their way over as they get to a point the current is stopping them and enter inside as luvdisc scatter)
Goh: it's a huntail
Ash: there's a gorebyss over here.
(Y/N): over there! (Points as they look to see a horsea)
Goh: and a seadra. IT'S A SEADRA! (We also see a seadra)
(This scares the seadra as it runs away as Ash pets the gorebyss)
Goh: hold it! (Chases after seadra)
(Y/N): (following) wait up!
Ash: (following) what happened?
Goh: (stops) I saw a seadra but I lost it.
(The fleeing bumps into a sharpedo as it is scared and runs away with sharpedo chasing after it as Goh, (Y/N) and Ash look for seadra as they see a relicanth)
Goh: a relicanth.
(It swims away)
Drake: (over communicator) are you alright?
Ash: huh? Uh yeah.
Goh: what's that?
(They see a chest where the relicanth was)
Ash: a treasure chest!
Drake: (over communicator) good but there may be a clue inside.
(They open it)
Ash: it's just a bunch of mud
Goh: maybe not.
(He feels around inside and pulls out a scale)
Goh: a scale?
Ash: so blue and pretty too.
Drake: (over communicator) I can't be sure but I think it's a dragon scale
(Y/N): it's definitely a dragon scale.
Goh: and if you have a dragon scale and you get a seadra to hold it.
(They hear a noise as they see a seadra rushing towards them)
Goh: seadra. Right I'll catch it.
(However seadra hides behind go confusing them until ash looks)
Ash: agh!
(They see a sharpedo as it goes near them but it hits Goh's pokeball going inside as it shakes three times and pings)
Rotom phone: sharpedo has been registered to your Pokédex.
Goh: huh?
(Seadra sees the dragon scale)
Goh: seadra would you like to have this? You may be able to evolve into a kingdra with this. Here it's a present for you.
(Gives it to seadra who plays with it)
Ash: you sure?
Goh: uh huh.
(Y/N): seadra sure looks happy.
Goh: my trial mission is to catch a wild kingdra. (To seadra) do you have any idea where this Pokémon is? (Shows seadra an image of kingdra as seadra goes in front of them) so you're going to lead us to it?
(Seadra nods and swims ahead as they follow)
Ash: good call.
(They keep following further down but their cords stop them)
Goh: excuse me Drake, could you let us dive a little bit deeper.
Drake: (over communicator) that's as far as the tubes reach.
Ash: Goh, look down there.
(They look to see seadra calling them)
Goh: you mean it's inside that cave?
(Seadra looks and gets scared and swims away past them)
Goh: hey, what was that all about seadra?
(They look as the currents begin to pick back up)
(Y/N): oh no.
Drake: (over communicator) what is it this time.
Goh: it's the whirlpool currents.
Drake: (over communicator) I'm pulling you up.
Goh: just a sec. It could be a kingdra causing all this.
(Y/N): oh yeah a sleeping one! I never thought about that!
Drake: (over communicator) what?
Goh: even the Pokédex says kingdra's yawning can create whirlpool effects.
(With Drake)
Drake: yes that's true.
Goh: (over communicator) I'm going down there.
(Back with the trio)
Goh: (Y/N) and Ash, you wait right here.
(He disconnects from the tube and brings the little machine Drake gave him)
Ash: Goh! Wait!
(Y/N): don't be too reckless!
(The whirlpool currents stop as three shadows appear behind them as three sharpedo are there about to bite down on them)
Ash: agh!
(Y/N): marshtomp rock smash! (Sends out marshtomp as he uses rock smash hitting two sharpedo as the third one bites down but they dodge)
(Y/N): barraskewda go! (Sends out barraskewda) use liquidation!
(Barraskewda uses liquidation and hits the sharpedo as they swim away)
(With Goh as he got pulled further into the cave as he's spinning about uncontrollably but grabs a big rocky pillar thing and steadies himself with no currents to stop him as he attaches the little green thing to his tank to give him air as he looks around)
Goh thoughts: I thought if I let the whirlpool draw me in it'd bring me to kingdra. I may have to wait for the next whirlpool, no I don't have that kind of time. (Checks phone) if a Dragonite were to appear they would engage in a desperate battle. (Plays a clip of (Y/N)'s Dragonite making noise as it gets louder as he hears a noise) alright it's a kingdra.
(Kingdra darts to the sound and looks around until it's face to face with Goh)
Goh thoughts: what do I do? If I toss a pokeball under water...
Goh: I know. Help me out! (Sends out inteleon) use snipe shot!
(Inteleon uses snipe shot as kingdra dodges it)
Goh: use a series of snipe shots!
(It fires multiple as it dodges the three shots and uses dragon breath)
Goh: dragon breath?!
(Inteleon is hit as it protects Goh)
Goh: how am I gonna beat it battling underwater?!
(They crash into something as they see they're caught by dracovish and Ash and (Y/N), barraskewda and marshtomp are there)
Goh: it's you two and dracovish! And barraskewda and marshtomp too!
(Y/N): we have your back.
Ash: you can count on us. Don't let it win.
Goh: yeah and I got my friends too! Mantyke come on out! (Sends out mantyke) use ice beam all around kingdra!
(Mantyke fires ice beam as kingdra dodges but it's surroundings are covered in ice and it's trapped)
Goh: go on Inteleon, use the move we've been training for. Liquidation go!
(Inteleon uses liquidation hitting kingdra and breaking the ice)
Goh: good job! (Throws pokeball in front of it) use snipe shot!
(Inteleon uses snipe shot on the pokeball launching it at kingdra and it hits as the pokeball shakes three times and pings)
Ash/Goh/(Y/N): alright! (Three way high five)
Rotom phone: kingdra has been registered to your Pokédex.
(They swim out as they've returned all their Pokémon until the current picks up and they're caught in it as beeping is heard)
Goh: no more oxygen! I'm gonna need your help here okay! (Sends out kingdra) quick Ash and (Y/N) grab onto kingdra!
Ash: okay!
(Y/N): got it!
(They all grab on)
Goh: we better save this fast! Kingdra use dragon breath on the sea floor!
(Kingdra does that as they're propelled to the surface faster as they look to see the ancient submersible lifts up and stats moving as Goh sees seadra in a window of it)
Goh: it's seadra!
(Seadra looks happy as it waves goodbye in it's own way as Goh chuckles as they come flying out the water as Pikachu and grookey cheer)
(With Danika and Quillon)
Danika: I'm confirming that you've caught a wild kingdra. You did well, congratulations.
Goh: (over communications) thank you so much.
Quillon: Danika, hurry up.
Danika: (hangs up) stop, don't give me orders.
Quillon: here it comes.
Danika: so we finally meet (the rock in front of them breaks apart)
Quillon: we've waited for you.
Danika: a legendary Pokemon, regirock.
(Regirock emerges) as they're face to face)
(With Goh: he gets a token on his rotom phone)
Goh: yeah I got my token!
Ash: alright that makes two!
Goh: and I'm in my way to number three!
(Y/N): and more and becoming an official member.
Drake: (steering the ship) tell me Goh, are you trying to gather up these tokens so you can become a member of project mew.
Goh: right.
Drake: and Ash and (Y/N), did you two enter the Pokémon world coronation series with the goal of becoming the greatest Pokémon trainer in the world.
Ash: right.
(Y/N): mainly to dethrone Leon of monarch and charizard of it's undefeated status and make friends with all sorts of Pokémon and trainers but the greatest Pokémon trainer in the world is great too.
Drake: now that's fun and adventure. That's how young people should be (laughs) you're just like me, looking for adventures and fun.
(They all look at him before grinning at each other)
