A quick update for the reader, this is a FF of an old Soap series called Parichay, telecasted on Colors back on 2011-13. This is till date my favourite, atleast some part of it. and I have weaved my imagination to the base story.

AT Sinal room, Kunal reminiscences his act with Siddhi and Kitchen and it naturally brings a smile on his face.
Siddhi: What are you looking at ? And smiling?
Kunal(back to reality): Aye!! this entire room is mine, everything in it and I can stare at any of them. And I didnt smile
Siddhi: Im not sure if everything in this room is your's but I can certainly say that you were smiling.
Kunal: Hm Siddhi Chopra plays a lawyer whereever she is. Tehnically speaking this is our room, so I may not own it, but I have equal right Mrs.Chopra and that includes you(Siddhi is first surprised, and then Kunal giggles)
Kunal: Arey baba, chodo. You win I lost, I was smiling ok?
Siddhi: What is there to hide while you smile? Its a good thing Kunal and when you smile it becomes a miracle for us. So smile often
Kunal: These days I think you are spending a lot of time with Seema
Siddhi: Such mein , aap number one Akadoo
Kunal: Im thinking what would have happened if you have told me this 6 months back
Siddhi: im still thinking what would happen now
Kunal: Arey, dont potray me like a Hitler. And you are no less, remember you ambushed me for not helping you with shopping. And you have started dictating your terms now a days
Siddhi: When did I do so?
Kunal: You do that from morning to night, Kunal dont forget to pay EB bill, Kunal mama ka medicine, Kunal flat rent, Kunal dont get angry, Kunal yeh, Kunal Voh...
Siddhi: Teek hai, I wont tell you anything from today.(siddhi's face turns pale)
Kunal: Arey baba, i was just joking just like how you did.
Siddhi: Aapko humor nehi aatha hai,
Kunal: That is why I dont joke or smile. And you complain about that
Siddhi(smiles at him): I like you just the way you are (Kunal's expression changes) matlab we all like you ..
Kunal: Understood, And siddhi, shall we plan that family trip after Shilpa's wedding?
Siddhi: Really!! Are you giving it a thought?
Kunal: First time you have asked me something, how can I not
Siddhi moves near Kunal and hugs him in the delight without realizing what impact it could have
Kunal doesnt even hestiate a moment to put through his hands around her, for a brief moment they share a hug. Siddhi break it after realizing what she might have initiated.
Siddhi(not looking at Kunal): mm
Kunal: I can understand this also, just like how the other day you cried today when you are happy.. matlab goodnight (swallows whatever he was trying to explain)
Siddhi is partly mad at herself , partly shy and happy, she quickly retires to her spot on bed and faces the otherside.
Siddhi's POV: Siddhi what si going on with you, Kunal will find that you are in love, wait am I really in love with Kunal ? Or am i thinking like that because of Seema bhabi? But i like when he is around especially when he listen to my deeds and needs, What is happening Siddhi, You are falling for akodoo, kadoos Kunal. But what can I certainly do, from inside he is sweet and how can I not.
Siddhi slowly drifts to sleep letting her unanswered questions float around, while Kunal couldnt. Kunal has realized siddhi's importance but is not yet ready to accept it whole heartedly.
Kunal's POV: Why do I like siddhi very much, probably because of her unselfish nature? Im not sure if I would be the husband she wanted but i will try to a good friend for a lifetime. Not everyone can do what she did for this family, for me, for my mom and im in debt with her an lifetime. I promise to be a better person siddhi, I promise.
Morning....
Kunal wakes up searching for siddhi
Kunal: Seema , where is Siddhi? Did she leave to her bhaiya's house this sson?
Seema: Dekho Gaurav, the first thing Kunal bhiaya asks for in the morning is his wife and you! you ask me for monthly budget.
Gaurav: Bhaiya, you have changed a lot after marriage(chuckles)
Kunal: Aye, why is that everyone saying i changed after marriage, was i a Gorilla before marriage ? And seema you dont have the habit to answer a question directly ist it?
Seema: Kunal bhaiya your wife has gone to the next house to invite a few folks to Shilpa's engagement, and if you still miss her why dont you go and check at Sharma uncle's house
Kunal: Phir! (Siddhi enters)
Siddhi: What happened(everyone looks at her)
Seema: Siddhi, you should Kunal Bhaiya everywhere you go
Siddhi: Why ? What happened Kunal, did you miss your file or is there something i should help you in finding
Seema: Yes, he is looking for his heart and you took it (Kunal and siddhi are embarassed, and Kunal moves to his room)
Siddhi: Aap bhi na bhabi, you have started pulling us in the morning itself, move I will make rooti and leave bhabi
Seema: Oi , I will take care of that, go help your Kapil bhaiya.
Siddhi: Teek hai bhabi, and remind Kunal to bring the engagement ring with him
Semma: Haan baba, go get ready and take all things necessary for the function.
Around evening in the function Arena:
Shilpa: Siddhi I dont think this earing matches with my dress
Siddhi: Shilpa, this is the 12th time you are chaing your earing, you cant be late for your own engagement because of this earing.
Shilpa: Even i want to impress Chaitanya just like how you impress jiju
Siddhi: Hey im not impressing anyone
Shilpa: Liar, the saree you are wearing is the one that Jiju bought and the necklance is the one he bought for your birthday and you say you are not impressing.
Siddhi: Actually it suits so im wearing
Shilpa: I have a set of eyes siddhi and im seeing how you are blushing, and you have looked at clock every 5 minutes to see when Kunal jiju might enter the venue and you called Seema bhabi thrice to check if jiju took the ring along or not. This much even i havent done for my own engagement
Siddhi(blushes): im..(stammers)
Shilpa: Itna pyaar after marriage, (hugs siddhi)
Siddhi: Even you will get a loads of love after marriage
Kapil: Siddhi! Kunal and his family is here
Siddhi: So soon? I'll go and check with them (runs out to see them)
Shilpa: One here in-laws came she left
Kapil: In future you will also do the same,
Shilpa: No, Chaitanya will come running for me(both share a quiet laugh)
Siddhi looks at the entire family
Siddhi: Papa, bhabi, bhaiya come inside and sit. The function will start in sometime, ma aap please sit down
Siddhi addresses everyone and looks at Kunal in his dashing pure black shirt. He looks distracted,
Siddhi: I didnt expect you to be here this soon
Kunal: Should I leave?
Siddhi(makes a sad face): I was telling that you were not someone who attends a function and to the surprise you are early.
Kunal: But this is Shilpa, she is just like my sister
Siddhi: Aap...(holds)
Kunal: bolo, you wanted to tell something but ...
Siddhi: Black looks good on you.
Kunal: Thanks, right black suits me well be it lawyers coat or this shirt.(siddhi looks at him)
Kunal: Now what?
Siddhi: Nothing, I will leave
Kunal: wait!! you want to hear something right?
Siddhi: correct but you are Kunal chopra, you dont praise others
Kunal: You look beautifull in this saree and that necklace goes well, teek hai?
Siddhi(blushingly smiles)
Kunal: Are you gonna stand here smiling whole day or greet the other guests(Siddhi is slightly emabarressed for her uncontrollable emotions before Kunal and leaves from the place)
Seema: What is your wife saying bhaiya? Kuch romantic baath?
Kunal: Aye, why dont you pull someone's leg ? Dekho your brother is here, go pull him
Seema: im gonna do that only, boring!!
Just like how he promised siddhi , Kunal smiles at Raveena making the entire family happy. Siddhi watches Kunal from far, seeing how she has slowly fallen for a man she though was the most rude human.
Seema(to siddhi): Isnt he the sweetest man?
Siddhi(still looking at Kunal): yes, and my man
Seema: What !! what did you say
Siddhi: The same that you heard
Seema: Am i even dreaming
Siddhi: Bhabi, what should I do? I think I love him, and im afraid its true
Seema: What is there to be afraid? He is your husband
Siddhi: Haan, but he is also Kunal Chopra (seema laughs)
Seema: Dont wait, go tell him about your love tonight. Infact here itself
Siddhi: No no, im afraid bhabi
Seema: im the love guru here, and im saying say it today. And baki...(siddhi puts her hand over seema's mouth)
Kunal: what is happening, you two always play like kids is it? this is our house function and you are playing amongst you.
Seema: Your wife was saying something and I was happy bhaiya, you too hear and you will be out of the world
Kunal: What is Seema talking about siddhi?
Siddhi: voh... voh..I was telling about the vacation and bhabi is excited
Kunal : I already know seema and infact i have booked ticktes right after Shilpa's wedding.
Seema: So you have planned for the honeymoon as well?(burst out)
Kunal: Kya bakwas, aye this is a family trip to manali. Im leaving!!(walks out to greet few ppl he knew)
Seema: Siddhi, im telling you Kunal bhaiya is already in love with you. So go tell him
Siddhi: You think so?
Seema: This man, the man who hasnt worked for 5 years today is working, he who used to sleep without care now waits for you to reach home, he the same man who doesnt belive in rituals is here before everyone for you family. What other proofs do you need? I have seen the worried look on his face when you are not by his side and I know he misses you even if you move a bit.
Siddhi: I hope these words are true bhabhi!! ( Kapil calls siddhi and she bids bye to seema)
Gaurav gets a call
Gaurav: Haan im gaurav, yes ! yes im his brother. Right now? But why?
Soon after the call Gaurav leaves the venue without telling anyone. Little does siddhi know that this night which she wants to make the most happiest one would be a dreadful one.
