Double update cus I felt bad leaving you guys hanging.

————————————————

She was so fucking close. So close to Jennie's lips that she could feel her tiny breaths on her face.

Just a little bit more and she'd feel them. Almost there. Lisa's lips tingled in anticipation.

A loud beeping noice interrupted them before their lips could even touch. Jennie had flinched so hard, startled at the sound that she almost dropped to the ground. She kind of really hated loud sounds and jump scares.

It was the smoke alarm.

Lisa didn't get to kiss Jennie and Lisa almost cursed out loud because of it. It took them a second to get their bearings from the intensity of the moment but it seemed like they both realized at the exact same time that Jennie had left the crepes on the stove and now they were burning, starting a small kitchen fire.

"Shit!" Lisa hopped off the counter to grab the lid to the pan to put the fire out. Hoping the lack of oxygen would put it out. That usually worked.

The fire had apparently spread too much for it to work though. They must have really been in their own little world to not notice the fire that was building up for that long. Thank god for smoke detectors.

"Nini, where's the baking soda?!"

Jennie ran to fetch it without hesitation and handed it to Lisa. She knew Lisa knew what she was doing, she sort of had experience with kitchen fires.

Jennie stood behind her, holding Lisa's left arm as Lisa poured the baking soda over the fire. Part of her wanted to drag Lisa away just in case she got hurt but she trusted Lisa to take care of it, the fire finally fizzled out.

They stood there looking on disbelievingly, staring at the mess in front of them. That was really close.

They turned to look at each other once they snapped out of the initial shock of it all. They locked eyes and immediately busted out laughing.

"Oh my God."

"Did that really just happen," Lisa said in between a fit of giggles.

"You did it again Lisa!"

"Did not! I think you're going to have to ban yourself from the kitchen now." Lisa pointed out.

"You were distracting me!" Jennie playfully glared.

"It's still your fault, you were being irresponsible," Lisa said solemnly.

"It's absolutely not my fault, the house almost burned down because of your bad luck around kitchens." Jennie said adamantly.

"We both know I watch, you cook. You should have known better than to let me distract you," Lisa argued.

"I think I'm going to have to ban you from the counter too then because your awful cooking skills seem to be rubbing off on me," Jennie teased. "What is it now? The sixth time you've provoked a fire?"

"Nooooo," Lisa pouted. "Wait I didn't mean it! Don't ban me from the counter too."

Jennie almost kissed the pout away when a very disheveled Jisoo ran in looking panicked, having heard the smoke alarm. She didn't sleep much the night before, spending the entire night playing games with Ryujin.

Chaeyoung followed right behind her looking just as anxious. Worried someone had gotten hurt.

"Limario! Please tell me you didn't burn down our kitchen because a hungry chipmunk is really scary." Jisoo said immediately, looking around taking in the scene.

Jennie had filled them in on the amount of times Lisa had almost burnt their apartment down when she tried to cook and Lisa was standing closest to the stove that was still smoking at the moment. Jisoo couldn't help but assume.

"It wasn't even me!" Lisa protested.

Chaeyoung pouted as she looked at the state of their stove. She'd been really looking forward to breakfast.

"Ah hell." Jisoo said as she noticed her wife was already looking grumpy.

Jisoo sighed heavily, "I'll be right back."

"Where are you going?" Lisa asked.

"To feed my wife." She said, walking out of the house without another word. She drove to three of Rosie's favorite breakfast places, ordering all her favorites.

Chaeyoung squealed excitedly as soon as she had seen Jisoo carrying all the take out bags when she got back, wrapping her arms around her wife's neck.

She pulled away for a second, pecking Jisoo on the lips and leaning her forehead on Jisoo's own.

"You're the best wife ever you know that?" Rosie told her honestly.

Jisoo melted at the look her blonde gave her. They had spent their entire lives together and still Rosie never failed to make her feel like the luckiest person in the world.

"Sorry chipmunk. For once, you're wrong, because that title belongs to you."

——————————

Jisoo slapped Lisa's hands away when she tried to serve herself some of the take out.

"No. That's Rosie's."

Lisa moved to grab something else.

"That's Rosie's too!"

"Unnie! Did you even get anything for the rest of us?" Lisa complained.

"Of course, that one's Ella's for when she wakes up." Jisoo smirked, pointing to another take out container.

Lisa pouted.

"You shouldn't have burnt my kitchen down," Jisoo shrugged. "Now you have to starve."

"It wasn't my fault!" Lisa protested.

"Whose fault was it then?" Jisoo taunted, "because Jennie has been cooking for us for as long as I've known her and suddenly you show up and almost burn our house down. I know your history with kitchens Limario."

Rosie and Jennie were so used to their antics that they weren't paying much attention to the other two's conversation. Rosie served some of the food Jisoo had bought to Jennie.

"I'm banned from the kitchen! I was just watching." Lisa insisted.

"Sure, the stove burnt itself then," Jisoo teased.

Rosie had been busy eating next to Jennie but she still noticed the guilty look on Jennie's face.

"Wifey?" She whispered, trying not to smirk.

Jennie looked at her.

"Hmm?"

"What really happened?"

Jennie looked at her plate of food hard, willing it to help her disappear.

"Wifey. You look entirely too guilty right now for me to believe this was all Lisa's fault."

"It was me, okay, I was a little distracted and I let the food burn."

"Why were you distracted?"

Jennie didn't answer.

"Lisa right? Lisa distracted you?"

Jennie didn't meet her eyes.

Rosie reached out, grabbing Jennie's hand, "it's about time."

Jennie looked up, "about time for what?"

Rosie just smiled knowingly. She'd noticed pretty much immediately the change in the way her friends were looking at each other as soon as she had walked in. They were finally figuring it out.

She chose not to answer Jennie directly.

"I'm just glad you guys are happy, even if it did cost me my food supply."

Jennie didn't really know what to say to that.

————————

Ella padded in twenty minutes later, rubbing her eyes.

She immediately walked to her mama who was having breakfast with the rest of them. Jisoo had finally let Lisa dig in once she was satisfied her wife had gotten first dibs on everything she wanted to eat.

Lisa noticed Ella as soon as she walked into the dining room, focusing her entire attention on her.

Ella reached out to Lisa, wordlessly asking to be picked up and Lisa obliged, sitting Ella on her lap.

Ella hadn't missed the way Lisa's arms were wrapped up in gauze, she saw that Lisa's elbows were still bleeding.

She almost traced Lisa's busted lip but she figured it might hurt her Mama.

"You're still bleeding Mama." Ella pointed out worriedly.

Lisa smiled at her, her lip still hurt but she had gotten a little more used to the pain.

"I'm fine baby, your mommy fixed me up." She said, moving her hand up to brush at Ella's hair.

Ella pointed at Lisa's left elbow, touching above the wound gently, "why are you still bleeding then?"

Jennie noticed it too and immediately got up from her seat. Lisa was bleeding through the gauze and she didn't like it.

"Let's go."

Lisa looked on to Jennie confused.

"You need stitches, let's go." Jennie said firmly.

Lisa looked at her elbow, "it's not that bad Jennie."

Ella climbed off of Lisa's lap and grabbed her mama's hand, careful to avoid her bruised knuckles, trying to pull her up.

"You need stitches Mama. Let's go." She looked at her sternly.

Lisa looked back and forth between Jennie and Ella who both simultaneously put their hands on their hips, furrowing their brows at Lisa for not listening to them.

She looked to Jisoo and Chaeyoung for help but they both avoided Lisa's eyes.

"Let's go!" Jennie and Ella said at the exact same time, glaring at Lisa for not getting up immediately.

Lisa quickly jumped up from her seat.

————————-

Yong-sun had just finished stitching Lisa's elbow when Moonbyul walked in with the biggest shit eating grin on her face.

"What's this I hear about you beating up a grown ass man?" She asked Lisa.

Lisa couldn't help but smirk back.

Moonbyul lifted up her hand in a fist, ready to fist bump Lisa, which Lisa returned with the same proud grin.

"Did you make him cry?" Moonbyul asked smiling hard.

"No, but I'm pretty sure I broke his nose."

"As you should." Moonbyul smirked.

"You do realize you're in healthcare right?" Yong-sun looked at her wife as she said that.

"Exactly! This is my best work!" Moonbyul retorted.

Yong-sun decided not to even address that.

Lisa raised a confused eyebrow at her.

"Told you I'm the best physical therapist ever. You couldn't have done that without me." Moonbyul answered.

Lisa rolled her eyes.

"I need you to stop taking credit for everything I do Byulie."

"You couldn't even move before meeting me! You got your spunk from me kid!"

"Kid? You're literally only five years older than me," Lisa whined.

"I'm still your Unnie! I'm disappointed in the lack of respect actually. You've never once called me that." Moonbyul crossed her arms as she spoke.

"It's kind of hard to call you Unnie when you act like a kid all the time," Lisa retorted.

Moonbyul flicked Lisa's forehead when she said that, making Lisa flinch.

Yong-sun smacked her her wife when she saw it.

"Babe! What the hell?" Moonbyul yelled.

"Stop messing with my patients," her wife scolded.

Moonbyul sulked.

Lisa smirked, sticking her tongue out at Moonbyul in retaliation when Yong-sun had looked away.

Moonbyul stuck her tongue out at Lisa back but got caught.

"Byul! What did I just say?"

Lisa fought the urge to snicker.

Moonbyul looked at her wife dejectedly, "She started it."

Yong-sun rolled her eyes.

"Children." She said under her breath. "I'm surrounded by children."

Jennie and Ella walked into the room right then, holding several bags of snacks.

Ella had convinced her mommy to buy Lisa's favorite treats and Jennie found herself unable to argue with her.
