Vergil had also already left.

But something caught her eye. A man in a red suit walking through the chaos, his face looking like he had done this a thousand times.
He wasn't attacking anything, just walking.
He had a demon arm, though.
She sighed and ran towards him weapon drawn, thinking she would make it quick.
What she didn't expect was him to step out of the way at the last second.
She stumbles past him, her weapon clattering a couple feet in front of her. She turned around to see that the man was walking to her.
Snagging her weapon, she held it in front of her threateningly.
"Stop where you are!" To her surprise, he paused in place slowly raising his hands in surrender.
She looked into his eyes and saw e/c, and gasped in disbelief.
"...Y/n? Is that you?"
The man nods. "W-What... happened to you?"
Her guard was starting to drop.
He doesn't respond, instead slowly walking closer to her.
Lady was deep in thought. This man was Y/n L/n, her childhood friend. It was hard to split them apart.
He was now right in front of her.
She looked up to see one of his arms about to smash her head in and she raised her arms to block the attack.
...But it never came. She looked back up to see the man using his other arm to hold himself back.

She dashed towards him and struck down, but he caught it mid strike. He then tossed it aside and grabbed her neck to start choking her.

Dante had never revealed how he controlled his demon side. And she doubted he would for whats effectively a stranger.

Secretly, the others had started listening in on their conversation.
