Eraserhead and Present Mic were having a normal day patrolling when they suddenly got a phone call from Eris school.
"Aizawa, your kids' school is on fire, you should hurry!"
As soon as they heard that they both sprinted towards Eris school.
"GO FUCKING FASTER BITCH!" Hizashi screamed, accidentally activating his quirk.
- With Eri -
Eri was minding her own business thank you very much but of course the universe had to disturb her peace and quietness because somehow her school is burning.
Can people commit a crime arson in other places, why a frickin school for seven years old.
"All the students should evacuate immediately!" the building's speakers repeated.
But class 1-C (Eris class) wouldn't budge, sure they shouldn't stay but in this case it was different for them because their teacher is trapped under a piece of the building.
They were standing in the classroom waiting for help, some of them crowding Eri accidently.
When her dads arrived they were standing outside watching while screaming and crying they tried to jump in for the rescue but the police are holding them back it being 'too risky'.
In another place a raven scarred vigilante-villain is sitting on his old worn out couch watching the news from a broken tv.
"(School name) is burning... bla bla bla.... we don't know why ...bla bla bla.. but we will catch the culprit! ... blah blah blah.. pro heroes are at the scene including the number one pro hero Endeavor!"
Dabis eyes widened watching the screen with wide eyes are they fucking stupid why are they just standing there are children there for fuck sake!
He quickly got up and sprinted towards the old apartment door, opening it and not caring to slam it shut after focusing on the children. He tried his best not to fall down the stairs in his rush till he got out on the streets still running.
- when Dabi arrived -
The raven is now standing outside of the school past the police since they didn't notice him to focus on a plan and calming down all the parents.
He rushed to open the door that led to the school stepping inside. What he did not expect was that a cop actually noticed him and followed him standing in front of him not noticing who he is.
"Stop right there, it's dangerous, let the professionals handle this!"
Dabi pushed him aside telling him to mind his own business. But people began screaming at him for being foolish and getting away right now but Dabi simply did not care there are fucking kids he loves kids. They are so innocent and pure unlike him.
As the scarred vigilante went in the door ignoring them, Hizashi and Aizawa were watching, silently thanking him.
Running through the corridors Dabi searched for class 1-C according to the news that was the only class that had not evacuated.
He suddenly stops in front of a class door with a mini board on the side saying 'class 1-C' he knocks on the door saying "Hey! Get back from the door, I'm coming to help you, ok!?" He waited till heard a bunch of 'yes's before opening the door.
Everyone was staring at him like he was some goddamn animal but he couldn't really blame them. They probably expected a hero or an officer not a burn victim.
He then took notice of his surroundings; there was a teacher under a broken ceiling seeming to be struggling to get free.
"Well fu-" Dabi stopped half-way realizing there are still children around him. He stops to look at them gathering their attention as he says.
"Alright so i'm going to bust out a window here and i need you to help each other out while i get your sensei out alright?"
He walked towards the window putting his hands towards it, activating his quirk melting the window a little to make it easier for him to throw a punch so it completely shatters.
He then proceeded to take off his hoodie revealing his scarred skin and staples. Simply to put it on the windows lower frame for safety reasons.
Dabi turns around facing the kids, raising one finger in a lecturing manner. "Alright out you go little ones, i promise to get your sensei right out to you. Make sure you help each other out, don't forget that."
The raven put on a little smile to resure the children.
As the children were following instructions he went towards the still trapped teacher so that he is hovering above her.
"Right hi lovely lady, so there is a proper way of going about being trapped by rubble... unfortunately we don't have time for that so i'm going to have to lift it just enough for you to move out yourself."
The lady looked at him nodding "Understood. Thank you... please don't get mad at me for asking but you're not a hero are you?"
He looked at her almost amused "No. Not at all. Why do you ask?"
"Well if the scars are anything to go by... Dabi'' She said, trying to stand.
'Oh no, they will arrest me'' Dabi thought with a terrified look on his face.
The teacher seemed to notice because she said "You are fine. Let's get out of here, I need to check on my kids."
The teacher put her arm around his head on his shoulder for support as they headed towards the window.
Dabi guided her hand on the frame of the window as he lept outside and helped her out after him.
The raven glared at the heroes as he helped the teacher. Endeavor was standing there with other pro heros watching him as he went towards the medic at the scene.
As he stood in front of the medic the poor guy looked so scared 'Is he dumb or something? Was he never trained for this????' Dabi thought as he said "Head wound, hurt ankle and smoke inhalation. No other visible injuries."
"R-right!" The students are surrounding Dabi as the medic helped their teacher.
Dabi was still glaring at the heroes as the kids asked him millions of questions. He wanted to ignore them before hearing one of the kids say "You are Dabi, from the league of villains."
He looked at a small girl with bluish, off-white hair, messy and unkempt, which is parted in the middle of her forehead, almost reaching down to her waist. She has very wide, innocent-looking eyes, which are bright red in color. Poking out from the right side of her forehead is a small, brown horn.
"That's right and who are you little genius? '' Dabi said, crouching in front of Eri.
The scarred vigilante-villain continued to talk with kids as Endeavor was held by other heroes and police officers.
"I'm a bit scary you know," Dabi said as Eri looked at him with big eyes.
"You're not scary. just hurt. ...Do they hurt?"
He debated in his mind if he should tell her or not but just decided that it wouldn't hurt if he did.
"Sometimes, my quirk hurts me so I have to be really careful... These are from when my father pushed me into not being careful.
Eri started fidgeting with her hands looking down like she wanted something but was too shy to ask.
"You can touch the scars, I don't mind sweetheart." As Eri reached forward to touch the scars the medic looked at Dabi curiously.
"I didn't expect you to be good with kids." The medic said accidently out loud. After he realized what he said his face quickly changed from amused to terrified, causing Dabi to laugh. The teacher sitting beside the medic had an annoyed look on her face hiding her amusement in this so random situation.
"Well I'm a big brother kinda comes with the territory." Endeavor was clearly not happy with the answer.
"WHO IS TO SAY HE DIDN'T HURT ANY OF THEM ARE YOU IDIOTS BLIND HE IS A VILLAIN FOR FUCK SAKE!"
"Oh come off it old man! I'm a villain not a ab- ... jerk. They are kids and everyone knows damn good and well you guys wouldn't have been here fast enough to get to them! So i acted! And don't curse in front of the children!" Dabi responded hugging Eri because she seemed scared of high voices.
"Asshole."
Dabi looked at Eri with shock.
"Sweetheart... who taught you that word?"
"Kacchan."
Dabi looked at her, telling her to elaborate. "Kacchan says that if you are going to curse to do it right and not to sugarcoat it."
"Right, Remind me to have a talk with this 'Kacchan'."
Eri laughed, hugging Dabi's neck "Dad already did but you can have a go to nii-san!"
Eraserhead and Present Mic who were watching were shocked.
They walked up towards Dabi with locked hands making him slightly afraid.
"... Thank you... for saving our daughter Dabi" Eraser said while they both hugged the very shocked (And emotional) raven.
When was it last he even got hugged? probably his mother. No. She was too afraid of him.. he is a monster. tears escaped Dabis eyes even thinking about his mother and 'past' life.
"Sorry for attacking your students.. i didn't know we were going to attack c-children"
Both parents smiled softly "We forgive you Dabi but never forget." Dabi was in disbelief... just like that? Just an apology?
"Now go before the other heroes get you!" They whisper-screamed.
With that Dabi sprinted off the scene.
