Chloe's POV
Luke and I lay in bed for the rest of the day and night-together.
"My mom is going to legit kill me." I laugh.
"Nah, I'll tell her I told you to get it."
I cringe, "Yeah, uh, she doesn't like you, anymore."
"O-oh."
"I'm sorry, really." I hold his hand between both of mine.
"No, it's okay. Not everyone is going to like you in life." He says, making me smile.
"Yeah, that's good to kn-" I hear my mom's car being locked.
"Fuck, get out if my bed she'll think we had sex." I giggle as I push him off the bed, him landing with a loud thump.
"Fuck, Chloe!"
"Shut up!!" I laugh, louder unable to stop laughing.
I missed this, hiding from my mom's rules and eyes.
"Hun? Is everything okay?"
"Oh, uh yeah stubbed my toe!" I yell, pretending to hold my toe.
"She can't see you idiot." Luke laughs softly.
"Whatever, dick head." I sneer, playfully.
"And you're laughing about it?" My mom yells, her steps becoming more noticeable as she walks up the stairs.
"Yeah. It was funny." I shove Luke in my closet, closing it.
She walks in, I clutch my toe.
"Oh, I'll get you an ice pack."
"No! That's fine mom, I mean I'm fine yeah." I laugh nervously, "Just go eat or something."
"What are you hiding? You never act like this unless you want or are hiding something. Tell me what it is, Chloe." She becomes stern, the kindness leaving her body and voice as fast as a cheetah running - hell, maybe even faster.
"Not-nothing." I let my toe go, pulling my shirt down not meaning to.
"Whatever, I'll eventually find out."
"I'm not hiding anything!" I yell.
"Fine, tomorrow we're going swimming." She smirks, evilly knowing what she's doing.
I want to get back at her, "Fine, it's a done deal." I smirk, just like she did, ready for the challenge.

I run through the aisles with Luke behind me.
"Come here!" He laughs, holding up a bathing suit, a bikini.
"No! That shit is like lingerie!" I laugh.
"No its not! It's hot!" He laughs harder, squeaking a bit.
I scrunch my nose from laughter, "Fine, I'll at least try it on." I snatch it out of his hands, walking to the dressing room.
I walk out wearing a bikini with rainbow tassels, with plain black bikini bottoms.
"Hot damn." Luke bites the left side of his lip, looking at me.
I spin around slowly, giving him a view.
"I like it." He nods, "We're getting it." He laughs, getting up.
"Haha okay, I like it also." I smile, walking back in getting changed.
I already have my back cover up and sandals at home that match with some raybands. We check out and drive back home.
We walk in the house, I dash up the stairs with the bag.
I change into the bikini and cover up, covering my piercing.
Luke knocks, I walk over opening the door.
"Hey, your mom wants to see your bathing suit." He chuckles.
"Tell her not until we get to the beach." I smile.
"Alrighty." He walks out, closing the door with a click.
I smile, I'm ready to stand up to my mom finally.

I stand at the edge if the water with the waves splashing on my ankles. I giggle, seeing Luke in the water already.
"Wait for me!" I yell, taking my cover up off, running to the water before my mom notices the shiny ball hanging from my belly.
"Waiting, god you're so slow!" He laughs, pulling my in a water covered hug. He pulls us underwater, my belly feeling weird with the water hitting against the piercing causing it to move around.
He brings us up surfacing the clear water again.
"Luke, I don't think my piercing is suppose to be moving around." I look down, seeing the shinny ball still there.
"Nah, don't worry about it. The water is probably good for it." He smiles, spinning me around.
I'm happy he's back.
"Hun, let's get a tan. The sun is shining bright for us!" My mom yells to Luke and I.
No thanks.
"Maybe later!" I yell back, Luke pretending to go deaf.
"Wow you can yell can't you."
"Don't you miss it." I scrunch my nose, as he boops it, making me burst out laughing.
My toes and hands become wrinkly, telling me it's time get out, revealing my belly to my mom.
I ease out if the warm yet cold water, Luke picking me up bridal style, hiding the piercing.
"Thanks, idiot." I smile, yet laughing.
"Anytime." He smiles back, giggling.
He lays me on my towel, handing me another to dry off with, again causing the piercing to be hidden, out of sight.
"Tan hun, it's good for you." My mom assures me.
"Luke, can you put sunscreen on me please?" I ask, pleading eyes.
"Sure." He replies, we both see my mom gag a bit, cringing.
I roll my eyes, handing Luke the sunscreen.Squirting some out of the bottle, Luke's hand lands over my belly piercing, covering it.
I smile up at him, as he rubs in the sunscreen.

Luke hands me my cover up, I put it on, yet again hiding the piercing.
"Ready to go, kids?"
"Don't call us that."
"Why? You guys act like them." She smirks, getting in the car after packing everything up.
"Whatever." I breath under my breath, "Bitch."
We drive home in silence besides mine and Luke's conversation.
"So, how did you get back to California?"
"A plane." He laughs, stating the obvious.
"Well duh, but why? I mean how did you escape your mom?"
"Eh, told I'm growing up. She can't baby baby me anymore." He smiles, confident.
"Oh." I look into his eyes, he can read me. He nods.
"Mom, I pierced my belly botton." I blurt out, the car jolting forward then backwards.
"WHAT!" My mom snaps her head back to us, mostly me.
"Yeah, you can't baby me anymore. I'm 18."
"18 my butt! You're living under my house! That means you obey my rules!" She yells, echoing through the full car.
"That can be rearranged." I fight back.
