Monday, 5 o'clock in the morning.

A figure sat on top of a building, watching over the city. "It might be a Monday but Kyoto's alive as ever!!!" The figure mutters looking at the skyline.

Far below on the road, a truck had been driving rather roughly causing chaos on the streets, crashing into cars and buses around it. A few feet behind the truck was a police car. Singular. And it seemed to be doing its best to stay within the rules and follow the truck.

"An officer that's following the rules... Must be a transfer officer! That's new. Most officers usually look for a way to get out of here! Ehh whatever. It's time for work!" The figure says as he jumps straight off the roof, free-falling down to the streets.

"I've got 15 minutes to stop that runaway truck and get back home!" The figure says as he shoots out a web line, converting his freefalling into a parabola.

'Hold up. The author thinks he's doing something funny by keeping my identity hidden here. So for those of you that didn't catch on yet. That's me, Izuku.'

Why would you do that? I was going to have an epic reveal!

'Seriously? The readers already know it's me! They've been through 30 chapters of you blabbering on about side stories and now that they get to the good stuff, a whole year later I might add, you're going to keep them in the dark?' Izuku shouts. 'Yes dear readers, it has been a whole year since we last met. I'm in my second year of high school and I have been the one and only Spider-Man for a whole year now!'

Do you want to do the recap?

'I mean yeah!'

Alright, then don't blame me for what happens next.

Recap Time! (Or something, idek I'm just winging stuff at this point)

After Peter and Gwen left, Izuku spent a few days in his room repairing his suit's mask while having taken a few days off from school and from there, he started patrolling a few blocks around his house as a civilian first, making note of the different heroes that patrolled the area and the routes they used on a daily basis.

Once he had mapped out the timings and routes of the heroes, Izuku finally started his patrol as the new Spider-Man, taking up the moniker of The Friendly Neighbourhood.

Izuku started off patrolling the area between his house and CC, helping out people here and there. Starting off with the simple stuff like helping old ladies cross a road, catching small-time thieves and thugs, returning lost kids to their parents and getting smacked in the face for it.

But over time he, as Spider-Man, gained a rep among the citizens. He wouldn't have any major fights though, just simple encounters where he'd show up and, web people up and force them to give up. Occasionally, he'd meet the same people, one such group was Kyojuro's, though they'd simply give up once they saw Izuku.

'They're actually fun people, I've spoken to them a few times while waiting for the police to arrive, well that was until last like a week ago when they begged me to let them go in exchange for them providing me with information from time to time.' Izuku adds. 'For those that don't remember, Kyojuro and is group debuted a few chapters ago, when Gene and I encountered Ghost while on patrol and he sent me back home. You guys had a riot with Kyojuro's name for some reason.'

However, he did meet a few of Gene's contacts. Specifically, he met the person Gene had warned him about, a pro that patrolled the area at night and was notorious for his unknown quirk that rendered everyone else's quirks useless.

'I met Eraserhead. Move on with it!' Izuku tells the authors.

He met Eras- HEY! Do not interrupt! Or I will go back and remove your self-awareness! Please don't make me do it cuz the readers love it!

'For the readers, I will shut up.'

His first meeting with Eraserhead didn't really go as planned.

'Hey, I had a plan alright!'

Yes, and did that plan include getting slammed into the wall and being choked by a metal alloy scarf?

'It was a small inconvenience. But things worked out right?'

True. But that beat down was epic! Readers, say yes if you want to read about it.

'NO! Don't do that!!'

Ignore him. After that encounter, Izuku gained a bit of rep in the Hero Community as well, at least the local one with Izuku occasionally helping the heroes at night and during the day. That however didn't mean that he wasn't almost taken into custody on multiple occasions.

'True, but Spider-Sense always helped me avoid those captures.'

Oh and Izuku asked Naomi out. Twice.

'The second time doesn't count because I was dazed.'

It was still funny. I might just dedicate a chapter to that incident.

'Don't you dare!'

Oh, I will. Continuing on from there, Izuku would face his first recurring villain in this guy who Gene had once called Shocker. His quirk gave him Electric Fists.

'I have electric fists too!'

WE know Izuku.

'Worst part probably was the fact that he interrupted our date! Naomi didn't forgive me for standing her up, for a good reason too, for almost a week!'

He was Izuku's first solo big bad but not really much of a challenge. I mean our boy can causally stand up to half a million volts because of his bioelectricity so a few volts of electricity from the Shocker weren't too much harm. Half a million volts was the limit that they found Izuku could withstand during an experiment where Izuku and Naomi accidentally blacked out half a block of Kyoto.

'Ugh! Don't remind me of that experiment.'

We should make a list of things the readers need to know.

'Or you could just write them in chapters instead of doing this!'

Nah, they're not worthy of their own chapters, not because they're not important but because they'd be too short for an individual chapter. They can be like small additions at the end. But after defeating Shocker, Izuku got an earful from both his mother and Naomi.

Speaking of his mother and Naomi, after finding out that Naomi was dating his son, Inko's first reaction was not 'Grandkids.' No that would have been far too cliché. Her reaction was telling Naomi, 'You could have done better than him.'

'I love mom, but man is she brutal at times.'

After a quote-unquote family dinner, Inko simply invited Naomi to live with the mother and son duo since she spent most of her time with them anyway.

Inko was angry because Izuku had come home late even though he had promised to be home early and help her with some cleaning. Naomi, though, who had seen the news with Inko, knew why Izuku was late, was pissed for a completely different reason.

She was scared that Izuku would get hurt, she had never said anything before because Izuku always had other heroes around him to pick up his slack. But seeing him face Shocker all alone, regardless of the fact that he beat the man in mere minutes, she was scared for him.

'I promised to be careful, didn't I?'

And somehow that worked. These spider-people have some weird luck when it comes to their secret identities and their loved ones, especially after they reveal their secret identities to them.

And that brings us to right now! Well, almost. There are a few other things that happened, those were more related to Izuku's personal life and not his spiderman side, like Izuku getting homework and more homework and then the tuitions that he took for Jiro and the other two boys and him being asked to join the school decathlon team alongside Momo, Iida and Akira.

Izuku was currently swinging towards the runaway truck and landed on the roof of a patrol car that had been chasing said truck.

'Hello officer, how can I help?" Spider-Man asks the officer in the car.

"The truck is carrying some tech and was headed for Tatsume Tech." The officer answers.

"Alright, I'll look into it. But you got to promise me you won't capture me after." Spider-Man says as he readies himself to jump onto the truck.

"Why would we capture a pro?" The policeman asks.

"I'm guessing you're new here?" Izuku says as he stands up and jumps off the car and onto the truck.

"What does that have to do with anything?" The officer responds, only for his words to be lost in the winds.

"You'll see later!" Izuku shouts as he gets on all fours and crawls to the front of the truck. He knocks on the windshield. "Knock Knock!" Izuku says, waving at the driver. "Knock Knock Mister Criminal!"

The thug in the passenger seat immediately starts to fire an SMG at Izuku which the boy easily dodges, all he had to do was backflip away and all the bullets missed him.

"Did you get that bug?" the driver asks.

"I don't know!" The thug answers.

"Sorry about that there was some disturbance in the network." Izuku says, appearing at the window next to the driver. "Do you have a minute to talk sir? I'd like to ask a few questions." Izuku says, only to be ignored as the thug immediately aims his gun at him.

"Don't shoot you, idiot! You'd hit me!" The driver shouts.

"Ahh I get it, it must be the window." Izuku says. "Hey, can you roll down this window? I'd like to talk." Izuku shouts from outside as the driver conveniently rolls down the window.

"Hi, my name's Spider-Man. You can call a menace, you can call me amazing. Just don't call me a bug." Izuku greets the two, dodging a punch from the Driver and taking the passenger's gun away in one swift motion.

"Where'd you get this man? I thought these were banned like last year?" He asks the thug, examining the gun. "Could you answer a few questions for me? They're really important for this survey I'm doing."

The two thugs look at Izuku in confusion.

"Right, so first question. I'm led to believe that you are carrying something that doesn't belong to you. Is that right?"

"So what?" The driver answers.

"Ahh, so the rumours were true. Well, I'd like for you to return the stuff to their rightful owners who are like 5 blocks back there." Izuku says, pointing in the opposite direction.

"And what if we don't?" The thug asks.

"Well, you'd go to jail. And I don't really want it for you guys, cuz you seem like nice people." Izuku says as he webs the thug to his seat. "Now, can we stop because I've got to get home?"

"Piss off bug!" The driver says as he swerves off-road, turning into an alley in an attempt to get Izuku off the truck.

"That's not going to work. I'm really, really sticky. Thankfully, that's not what she said." Izuku jokes as he webs the brake lever and pulls hard, activating it causing the truck's tires to screech. Izuku webs the driver to his seat as well, not wanting the guy to go flying out the front.

Izuku jumps down from the truck. "Seems my work here is done." He says as the police car that had been trailing them approached. "Hey officer, the two thugs, both are stuck to their seats and probably scared a bit, they're also stuck to their seats so unless you have shears in the car, I'd suggest waiting for about an hour the webs should dissolve a little, though if you want to make your work, even more, easier, you can just wait for 2 and a half and the webs will disappear though the chances of those two running off are higher once that happens."

"I'm going to need you to come with me." The officer says, aiming a gun at Izuku.

"What about our promise from earlier?" Izuku asks.

"Well, I didn't know you were a vigilante back then. And that changes things." The officer warns.

"Look, I'd love to stay and chat, but I got to go alright. I've got things to do and places to be." Izuku says. "Hey is that All Might?" Izuku says causing the officer to look away for just a second, allowing Izuku to shoot a web line to the roof and get out of the alley.

"Got you!!" Izuku shouts as he swings away, heading home. The officer keeps his gun aimed at the Izuku, ready to shoot.

"Stand down officer." An older, gruff voice tells the man. "The Spider has done us more good than harm. Shooting him here would only cause us problems, ones that most heroes wouldn't want to help us solve."

"Captain Yami, he's a vigilante, shouldn't he be arrested?" The new officer asks.

"You're new here aren't you, Retsu? Kyoto works rather differently than say Tokyo." The captain says as Retsu places his gun in the holster on his waist and aids the captain in arresting the two thugs.

Swinging for about 15 minutes, Izuku entered his room via his window and starts to remove his suit when his door opens.

"Izuku, it's time to walk up." Izuku hears a voice from the other side as the door opens slowly. He panics a little before he finally sees who was coming in.

"Oh, it's just you." Izuku sighs as he continues to take his suit off.

"You went on patrol didn't you?" Naomi asks.

"Well, the city needs the Spider, doesn't it. We agreed on that." Izuku says as he finally gets out of the suit. "I'll take a shower and be right back."

"Get out fast, I need to shower too. Oh and I won't be home today, we've got to get stuff ready for the College Annual Fest so I'll be staying with Tam and the others at their house next to the college." Naomi tells him.

"That's today? Damn. I thought that was next week." Izuku sighs as he gets into the shower, closing the door behind him.

About 10 minutes later Izuku walks out of the shower, his hair still wet as he walked to his closet and grabbed his school uniform and put it on while Naomi entered the shower.

"Izuku, Naomi!! Breakfast is ready!!" His mother shouts from the living room.

"Coming mom, Naomi's gone to take a shower so she'll take some time." Izuku says as grabbed his coat, tie and socks and walks out of his room and down the stairs. "Also Naomi said that she'll be staying with her friends tonight something about her college fest preparation."

"I'll pack some snacks for her to eat." Inko says as Izuku sits down on the sofa to wear his socks. "There's grilled fish and miso soup for breakfast."

"Yay! Fish!!!" Izuku says as he quickly gets up and grabs a bowl for himself just in time for Naomi to walk down.

She was wearing a simple red shirt (read as Izuku's shirt) paired with a pair of blue jeans. It wasn't something really different from her usual clothes but the fact that she was wearing one of his shirts had Izuku awestruck when he laid his eyes on her. While it was normal for Naomi to wear his shirt while she was at home, wearing his shirt to college was a completely different matter. With her regular college clothes, Naomi looked amazing but there was something different when it came to her wearing his clothes. Basically, Izuku was, for all effective purposes, whipped.

'Oh piss off, we both know how whipped you can be when it comes to-'

That's enough out of you! There's no reason for the readers to know that.

"Can I help you with something?" Naomi cheekily asks Izuku after noticing that he was staring.

"Oh... Uh... Nothing." Izuku says, blushing.

"Well it has to be something, you were staring. Is there something wrong with my clothes?" Naomi asks him.

"N-NO.... I mean no. You look beautiful today.... Not that you don't look beautiful on other days.... You always look beautiful.... I'm going to stop talking now."

"Adorable." Naomi says as she sits next to him on the dining table and grabs a bowl for herself.

"Naomi, I've made some snacks for you to eat while your working." Inko tells the girl.

"There was no need for this Inko."

"There is. You'll not be home for dinner so this is the least I can do. Besides, those food stalls aren't really that healthy." Inko counters.

"Just take it, mom won't back down." Izuku says as he finishes his bowl of breakfast and gets up to keep it in the sink. "I'll be a bit late coming home ma, we've got decathlon practice today."

"That's alright, just remember to get some flour and rice while coming home. I've invited the Uraraka's for dinner today." Inko tells the boy.

"WHAT!" Izuku exclaims, he would have done a spit-take had he been drinking water but he wasn't so no human water fountain was made.

"I invited them when I met Kurumi yesterday at the market." Inko says. "I thought it'd be nice for us to catch up over dinner."

"Oh... Well, I've got to leave. It's getting late. If you need me to get anything else just let me know alright." Izuku says as he grabs his coat and shoves his tie into a pocket.

"Wait for me. I'm almost done." Naomi says as she gets up as well. After keeping her bowl in the sink, she grabs her bag and a pair of shoes, wearing them on her way out.

"Bye ma/Inko." The two of them shout as they leave.

"So your first crush is coming home tonight." Naomi says once they're far enough from the house.

"And are you okay with it?" Izuku asks. "If you're not I can always tell mom that I have some work and you know get out of the house."

"Well, they're technically coming over because Inko invited them so I can't fault you for it. Besides, I don't really care, not like she was your ex or anything." Naomi says.

"You two would have gotten along really well you know. You're both pretty similar." Izuku says with a smile.

"Well, maybe you can invite her over when I'm home and then I can decide if we're similar or not." Naomi answers returning a smile as the two walk to the train station.
