Markus's POV

I took a deep breath as I looked down at my phone. Vin had given me his number and told me he'd call me when he got home from work; I still hadn't gotten a phone call. I was sitting in our- my room on my bed. I wasn't used to having my own room. I've slept in Gabby and Felix's room for the past two weeks and this is the first time I've really spent any time at all in this room since...

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling. Was I moving on too fast? Does my having a crush on this boy mean my feelings for Jameson were untrue? Did I not love him like I'd thought I did? How could I do this to Jameson? By liking this boy I was throwing away everything Jameson and I had!

But, you never really had anything.

But you still loved each other!

Jameson never made it official. Plus he was dating Benjamin the whole time.

He only did what he thought was right, what was best for the both of you.

No! He only did what was right for Jameson, what was best for Jameson.

He thought it'd be best for both of you.

He obviously didn't care; he only wanted what he wanted.

The knock on my door pulled me out of my internal distress, "Hello?" I asked.

"Markus? Dinner is ready. Are you going to come eat?" Skie's small voice said from behind the door.

I blinked and opened the door, "Yeah, I'll be right up," I told her with a smile.

She smiled back, "How are you, Markus?" she asked.

"I'm fine," I said, not entirely sure if that was a lie or if it was the truth.

She looked at me skeptically, "Are you sure?" she asked.

"Am I moving on too fast? By liking Vin am I throwing away everything that Jameson and I had? Am I saying that my feelings for him weren't true?" I asked.

She took my hands and led me to my bed, "If there's one person in the world I know better than my sister, it was Jameson. I know you're afraid people will think you moved on too soon, but I know it's what Jameson would want. He wouldn't want you to hold onto him and never love again. He'd want you to be happy. I bet you, he's watching you thinking, look at that hunk of man I got to enjoy. He'd be thinking, I love that he still loves me, but he's not afraid to move on and be happy again. Don't worry about what other people think, it's your life, it's your happiness. No one expects you to hold onto your dead first love," she told me.

"He'll always have a place in my heart, I'll always love him," I told her.

"That's all anyone can ask. Now, come on, let's go eat," she said and dragged me upstairs.

Three hours after Skie and I had talked I'd gotten a text message from Vin; asking me on a date this Tuesday, which was today!

Gabby was in my room helping me get ready. I had no clue where he was taking me, but she did. I was currently trying to get it out of her.

"C'mon, Gabby! Just tell me where we're going," I whined.

She giggled, "Sorry, baby, no can do. I promised, and I never break a promise. Stop worrying, you'll love it!" she said with a huge grin on her face.

"You enjoy torturing me, don't you?" I said, narrowing my eyes at her.

She grinned cheekily, "Nope," she said, popping the p, "Just Felix," she winked.

"Ew!" I exclaimed, slapping her arm lightly, "You are disgusting!"

She chuckled, "You know you love it," she sang.

"The hell I do," I muttered.

"Just imagine, him inside," I placed my hand over her mouth.

"I love you, mom, but you have got some serious problems," I told her and she started laughing like the hyenas off the Lion King.

"You," she gasped, "Should've seen your face," she cried.

"Does Felix know you talk like that?" I asked.

She took a deep breath, "I only act this way because I know it embarrasses you. Your face was so red! And I saw your intake of breath when I told you to imagine Felix," I covered her mouth again.

"All right, all right, you can stop now," I said, feeling my cheeks burn up. I had, in fact imagined the scenario she had started to describe many times before. You see, I used to have a big crush on Felix. I'd started to like him right before I'd told my family I was gay. No one knew I did, or would ever know. Besides, I don't even like him anymore.

"Why can't I tease you about it?" she asked.

"Nothing, that's just weird, he's my best friend," I lied.

She frowned at me, "You didn't turn that color when I teased you about Vin, Saturday," she mumbled.

"That's because he's not my best friend," I told her.

She rolled her eyes and checked her phone, "It's time!" she sang and pulled me upstairs.

Gabby's POV

I rushed Markus upstairs to see Felix opening the door and letting Vin in. Markus had an instant smile over his face as he saw the boy dressed in dark blue jeans and a white v-neck. He wore a set of dog tags around his neck and several bracelets on his wrists. It was cute; Markus was in khakis and a white t-shirt.

"Hello," he said in a deep voice.

I smiled, "Hi, nice to see you again, Vin," I said.

He smiled back, "My pleasure, Gabby."

I waited for Markus to do something, say something and when he didn't I nudged him. He blinked and looked down. He cleared his throat, "Sorry, hi," he looked back up, "Everyone, this is Vin. Vin, you've already met Gabby, that's her boyfriend and my best friend, Felix. This is her sister, Skielar, her boyfriend, Eli; this is my sister, Cassi, and her boyfriend, Avery," he introduced.

Felix came over to me and kissed my forehead, "It's nice to meet you, Vin. They all call Gabby and I mom and dad," he said.

"You, too, Felix. You seem the motherly/fatherly sort."

"Take care of my brother," Cassi said with a serious tone but a smile on her face.

Vin smiled towards Markus, "I will."

Markus blushed and everyone else said hello to Vin, making small comments and embarrassing the both of them.

"Okay!" Markus exclaimed as Avery and Eli were about to tell Vin about the time Markus wet himself on stage at one of their gigs. He looked at Vin desperately, "Can we go now?" he said in a small voice.

Vin smiled at him and held out his hand, "Gladly," he said as Markus took his hand and they walked out of the house.

Avery held up his arms, "I want to sing a song to my beautiful fiancé, well it's more to the babies but..." he trailed off.

All of us sat on the couch and he pulled out his acoustic, "You're just a small bump unborn, in four months you're brought to life, you might be left with my hair, but you'll have your mother's eyes, I'll hold your body in my hands, be as gentle as I can, but for now your scan of my unmade plans, a small bump in four months, you're brought to life. I'll whisper quietly, I'll give you nothing but truth. If you're not inside me, I'll put my future in you. You are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. Oh, you are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. And you'll be alright. Oh, you're just a small bump unknown, you'll grow into your skin. With a smile like hers and a dimple beneath your chin. Finger nails the size of a half grain of rice, and eyelids closed to be soon opened wide. A small bump, in four months you'll open your eyes. And I'll hold you tightly, I'll tell you nothing but truth. If you're not inside me, I'll put my future in you. You are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. Oh, you are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. And you'll be alright. You can lie with me, with your tiny feet, when you're half asleep, I'll leave you be. Right in front of me, for a couple weeks, so I can keep you safe. 'Cause you are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. You are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. And you'll be alright. 'Cause you were just a small bump unborn for four months then torn from life. Maybe you were needed up there but we're still unaware as why," he sang.

Cassi was looking at him with horror filled eyes, "What the fuck is wrong with you, Avery?" she exclaimed.

He looked at her confused, "What do you mean?" he asked.

I chuckled, "Avery, do you know what that song is about?" I asked.

"A baby?" he asked.

I shook my head, "It's about a miscarriage, babe," I told him.

His eyes widened, "Oh my God! I had no clue!"

"Maybe you should think about these things," Felix chuckled.

I laughed and looked around, everyone was smiling and Avery was shaking his head. Everyone looked so happy again. We were a family again, it couldn't possibly get better than this.

I frowned, "Guys, what happens when you win? What happens to all of us? Will we stay together?" I asked.

Felix squeezed my hand, "We will," he told me, his arm wrapping around my waist.

"You're my sister, Gabby, I can't live without you," Skie said as she and Eli grabbed hands.

"You're the god parents of our children, we won't be able to stay away," Avery said, his hands on the small bump that was Cassi's baby bump.

"Not just that, but you're our mom," they all said simultaneously.

I smiled, "What about Markus?" I asked.

"You know he can't stay away," Felix told me.

I smiled, "I love my boy," I said and laid my head on Felix's lap.

"He loves you, now, tell us, where is Vin taking him?" Skie asked.

I shrugged, "Just a picnic on the beach. I know Markie likes those kinds of dates so I told him it'd be a good idea. Especially when it's going to get cold again," I told them.

Cassi looked between Skie and me, "Isn't he cute?" she asked.

"Definitely," I said.

"They make a good couple," Skie agreed.

Felix rolled his eyes, "Girls," he muttered.

"You don't think he's attractive?" I asked.

He looked at me like I was crazy, "Really? Babe, Markus is my best friend and I love him, but I don't bat for that team," he told me.

"You can say a guy's attractive, it doesn't make you gay," I said.

"Babe, it's not the same for guys as it is for girls," Felix told me.

I rolled my eyes, "You're ridiculous," I told him.

"You know you like it," he whispered in my ear.

I smacked his arm, "You have no clue," I said.

"Gabby!" Eli whined, "What's for dinner?" he asked.

"Steak!" I exclaimed, "I mean, Markus isn't home so we don't have to make it vegetarian. I love him, but I've been craving me a steak and I don't like eating it in front of him cause I know it makes him uncomfortable," I rambled, feeling like I had to explain myself.

"Gabby," Cassi said, "You're rambling."

I blushed and hid my face in Felix's chest, "I know," I muttered.

Felix stood up with me, "Let's go to the store and get dinner," he said.

I looked at the four of them, "Don't break anything," I muttered.

"Who's in charge?" Skie asked.

I looked down at the ground, "I don't know anymore," I said, quietly.
