With Venno:
The Velociraptor demoness, Wolf Hound demon, and Porcelain Monster demoness all got off the train with the two Snake demons.
Waiting just a few meters away was Jerry, the Spider demon having taken a seat on a nearby bench to wait for the train.
Taking a quick puff from his cigar, Jerry managed to get up slowly, the Spider demon appearing to take it easy on his leg as he slowly walked over.
"Glad to see you three are back, and with not one but two bounties. If I'm being honest, I never expected you to come back with two" said Jerry, the Spider demon frowning as he examined the two Snake demons.
Eric just hung his head while Mrs.Fang tried not to hiss, her rattle shaking slowly.
"So, this guy used to be your boyfriend, huh?" asked Jerry, turning to Venno and raising an eyebrow in confusion.
Venno frowned and nodded, the Velociraptor demoness crossing her arms.
"Yeah, although the only reason we even dated was because he was helping me study, and he just wanted to make some other girl in a happy relationship jealous" said Venno, rolling her eyes.
Jerry took a quick puff from his cigar before he chuckled, the Spider demon patting Eric's shoulder, causing the Python demon to jump in fright.
"Better luck next time there, buddy. Rapter here is pretty yet feisty. Not every man can handle her" said Jerry, causing Venno to smile.
The Velociraptor demoness' thoughts quickly went to Dexx, the Anglerfish demon liking her pretty yet feisty attitude.
"Alright, let's get you back to the Bounty Hunter Agency. I've got a vehicle waiting up front" said Jerry, the Spider demon frowning as he turned to Barry, the Wolf Hound demon nodding in understanding.
Barry grabbed both Eric and Mrs.Fang's shoulder, the Wolf Hound demon pushing them along as Venno followed close behind.
With Slendithera:
Jerry snuck a quick glance over at Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster demoness being a bit too silent.
The Spider demon saw the badge that Slendithera was admiring, the Porcelain Monster demoness having taken it off to continue looking at it.
"Nice badge, where did you get it?" asked Jerry, the Spider demon slowly walking alongside Slandithera, curious as to where she got it.
"The former deputy gave it to me, in gratitude for helping him find the thief. He's now the sheriff, so he took Eric's badge and gave me his" said Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster demoness smiling.
Jerry took a slow puff from his cigar before nodding.
"You deserve it, too. Maybe you'll make a great Bounty Hunter, too, someday" said Jerry, the Spider demon giving Slendithera a quick pat on her shoulder before walking on ahead to talk to Venno and Barry.
Slendithera couldn't help but smile, excited about the fact that perhaps she could become a Bounty Hunter, although the Porcelain Monster demoness felt that now wasn't her time.
Time Skip:
With Venno:
Venno, Jerry and Barry were all seated in the viewing room, watching as Fiona spoke to the two Snake demons who had one arm handcuffed to their own chairs.
Jerry took a quick puff from his cigarette before sighing, the Spider demon quickly glancing over at Venno.
"So, did you have some time to talk about what happened between you two?" asked Jerry, the Spider demon returning his attention back to the two Snake demons.
Venno frowned as she turned to Jerry, the Velociraptor demoness not happy.
"No, we didn't. I know you may think that I'm not over the fact that I broke up with him, but I honestly have. I do appreciate you worrying about me, though" said Venno, the Velociraptor demoness smiling and crossing her arms when she mentioned the last part.
Jerry took a slow puff from his cigarette before nodding in understanding.
"If you say so. I just wanted to know if you could bring him in without any problems from him. You and Barry both did great on this one" said Jerry, the Spider demon giving Venno and Barry a small smile.
Barry was shocked to hear this, the Wolf Hound demon having thought that Jerry still disliked him for some reason.
"Thanks boss" said Barry, the Wolf Hound demon smiling gratefully before returning his attention back to Fiona, the Pomeranian demoness now getting up from her seat and walking into the viewing room.
"Ok, so Mrs.Fang says that she only took a few things, and was going to leave the money when she got it. I believe she is telling the truth, so maybe we can consider letting her go and have her apologize and give the shop owners the money for what she stole" began Fiona, the Pomeranian demoness reading the notes she had written down on her clipboard.
Jerry took a slot puff from his cigarette, his arms crossed as he took a moment to think before nodding.
"Sure, that can work. Can't blame a person for just wanting to dress nicely anyway, so she can go ahead and apologize and pay up for the things she stole. Call and ask the new sheriff to ensure she does, will you?" said Jerry, tapping his cigarette with his finger.
Fiona smiled and nodded before she frowned, the Pomeranian demoness glancing down at her clipboard.
"As for her son, he said that the only reason why he wasn't taking his job seriously was because he couldn't stop thinking about his ex girlfriend. Stated that he began missing her when he first became the sheriff, and was trying to forget about what had happened between them" said Fiona, the Pomeranian demoness speaking nervously, unsure whether she should have even said this.
This caught Venno's attention, the Velociraptor demoness refraining from snarling.
"I hope he got another girlfriend who broke up with him after the last time we saw, because as far as I know, I was the last girl he had dated" said Venno, frowning as she crossed her arms, her fists clenched.
Fiona shook her head, the Pomeranian demoness' ears lowering as she raised her clipboard to hide her face.
"No, he mentioned it was you" said Fiona, the Pomeranian demoness looking as if she was afraid.
Venno remained silent as Jerry snuck a quick glance over at her while Barry now looked concerned.
The Velociraptor demoness then got up and walked into the interview room before anyone could even say nothing to stop her, even shocking Jerry and causing him to quickly stand up, but the Spider demon remained in the room as he and the two Canine demons watched from the viewing room.
"So, is it true that you didn't take your job seriously because you started missing me?" asked Venno bluntly, the Velociraptor demoness narrowed her eyes as she glared at the Python demon, causing him to look shocked.
"What?" asked Eric, the Python demon trying to play dumb as his mother rolled her eyes.
"Of course he does. He even told me several times" said Mrs.Fang, the Rattlesnake demoness crossing her arms.
Eric hissed before he sighed and hung his head, nodding.
"Why? I know you were only dating me to make some other girl jealous. Why would you miss me?" asked Venno simply, the Velociraptor demoness genuinely curious.
Eric shrugged unsure.
"I don't know, maybe because you were the last girl I was actually with? All I know is that I now feel lonely, even with my mom keeping me company" said the Python demon.
Venno remained silent as she thought about what he said, the Velociraptor demoness unsure of how to answer.
Finally she sighed, the Velociraptor demoness choosing her words carefully since she knew Jerry was listening, and he didn't know about Dexx.
"Well, I can't go back to dating you, since I found someone else who loves and cares about me" began Venno.
Eric nodded in understanding, having had the feeling she wouldn't want to go back to him.
"But, if you really tried, you could find someone else who would love and care about you. The two of us weren't meant to be, but I have a feeling there's someone else out there for you. You just have to find them" said Venno, glancing away.
"How do I know they're the one?" asked Eric, tilting his head to the side, genuinely curious.
Venno shrugged.
"You'll know when you see them. I suppose it's known as love at first sight" said Venno, thinking back on what Dexx had told her, the Velociraptor demoness smiling gently at the thought of him.
Eric nodded, the Python demon sighing and rubbing the back of his neck.
"Ok, and you don't suppose they'll let me become the deputy, do you? Maybe you're right about me trying, and I'd like to give it try" said Eric, glancing away.
Venno just frowned as she glared at Eric, the Velociraptor demoness about to say something else until she sighed and shook her head, shrugging.
"That's not up to me, that's up to the new sheriff to decide. Plus, the mayor probably won't be too happy that you've returned. But if you show them that you're willing to change and try doing a good job, then maybe you've got a chance" said Venno, unsure of what else to say.
Eric just nodded in understanding as his mother patted his shoulder gently, reassuring him that everything was alright.
Venno quickly glanced over as Jerry entered the interview room, the Spider demon taking a slow puff from his cigarette before tossing it in the nearby trash can before swiftly taking out a new one and lighting it.
"If you're truly sorry and willing to try changing and doing a better job, then perhaps I'll give in a good word for you both when I inform the mayor of what you've said. You'll have to wait for his answer before you can go back, but I'm sure you've got a good chance at staying if you can live up to his expectations" said Jerry, the Spider demon crossing his two bottom arms.
Eric and Mrs.Fang just exchanged worried glances before the Rattlesnake demoness nodded.
"Alright, we'll wait. If not, then I suppose we could find someplace else. Maybe the city of the Burning Savannah" said Mrs.Fang, the Rattlesnake demoness smiling at the thought of living someplace warm.
Eric frowned, the Python demon giving his mother a quick glare.
"I'm a Python demon, remember? I'd like to live somewhere a little cooler if we can't go back to Dry Skull Valley" said Eric, crossing his arms.
Jerry just chuckled as he shook his head, the Spider demon turning and walking out of the interview room with Venno close to follow.
"Well, I'll be on my way. We'll come back to inform you of what the mayor says" said Jerry.
Eric and Mrs.Fang both nodded in understanding, the two Snake demons deciding to remain silent as Jerry closed the door.
The Spider demon then turned to Venno, the Velociraptor demoness crossing her arms and frowning.
"Well Rapter, I'm impressed. I thought you would have blown up in there, but you kept your cool" said Jerry, smiling as Barry and Fiona left the viewing room.
Venno sighed before shrugging.
"Well, I can't exactly blame him for being lonely. I moved on pretty quickly after breaking up with him, but I suppose not everyone can move on as quickly as others" said Venno, deciding to just let it go, knowing that there was no point in being angry anymore since she found someone else.
"That's what I like to hear. You three go on, I'll come back to inform you of what's happened after I meet with these two" said Jerry, the Spider demon smiling proudly as he patted Venno's shoulder.
Venno smiled and nodded as Jerry turned and walked down the hall, the Spider demon getting in the elevator and heading up to his office.
"So, what do you think will happen to them?" asked Barry, the Wolf Hound demon crossing his arms.
"I'm not too sure. I'm still a little mad at him, but at the same time, Jerry was right about me talking to him. The last time we met up with each other, we had an actual fight. I do feel a little better getting the chance to actually talk to him" said Venno, unsure of how she felt.
Fiona smiled, the Pomeranian demoness nodding.
"That's good to hear" said Fiona, the Pomeranian demoness' tail wagging slightly.
Venno nodded, the Velociraptor demoness glancing away for a second before shaking her head and smiling.
"Let's go meet up with Scott. I have a feeling he would love hearing about this bounty" said Venno, the Velociraptor demoness wanting to talk to someone else about what had happened, and she had a feeling the Possum demon would be asking about it as soon as he got the chance.
Barry tilted his head to the side, but the Wolf Hound demon shrugged before nodding.
"Alright, let's head up then. I'm sure the boss will find us there" said Barry.
The three turned and walked down the hall, entering the elevator and heading up a few floors to meet up with Scott.
Time Skip:
"Rapter, there you are" called Jerry, the Spider demon getting off the elevator, having been looking for the Velociraptor demoness and two Canine demons.
Venno, Barry, Fiona and Scott got startled by this, the Wolf Hound demon having been explaining what Slendithera had been doing when the Spider demon interrupted.
"Sorry, we thought that Scott would like to know" said Venno, the Velociraptor demoness shrugging.
Scott chuckled and nodded.
"They know me, boss. I would have asked as soon as I ran into them" said the Possum demon.
Jerry sighed before shaking his head.
"It's alright. I thought I'd let you know that they'll be heading back. The mayor is letting them return back to Dry Skull Valley, but only if they show that they're both willing to change. He was unsure at first, but I told him that they're willing to change if it means they can go back" said Jerry, shrugging.
Venno nodded in understanding, the Velociraptor demoness feeling a little happy that the two Snake demons would be returning home.
"Thanks for telling us, boss" said Venno, smiling and nodding.
Jerry took a quick puff from his cigarette before nodding, the Spider demon sighing.
"It's no problem. You did great out there, keeping calm like that" said Jerry, the Spider demon patting Venno's shoulder once more turning and walking back to the elevator.
Venno couldn't help but smile at the thought of Jerry being proud of her.
"So, what happened after your sister and the deputy found you in the saloon?" asked Scott, the Possum demon smiling, curious to hear the rest of what happened.
Venno chuckled, the Velociraptor demoness resting a hand on her hip as she turned to the Possum demon.
"Well, I think Barry was the one explaining that, right?" asked Venno, quickly glancing up at Barry.
The Wolf Hound demon perked up and nodded.
"That's right" said Barry.
As Barry continued explaining what had happened, Scott and Fiona listening closely, Venno couldn't help but feel better about what had happened.
She was just happy that she had a chance to actually talk to Eric about what had happened, like Jerry had said.
