I have been avoiding Niklaus ever since I made the realization that I might be falling for him

Tomorrow my extended family will be leaving. They have been here for a week usually they would stay longer but since they came here instantly without planning their companies and business were left unattended so they need to go back.
They promised they would be back when it's summertime.
Right now we are having dinner for the last time together before they leave.
"I know you'll miss me the most Vivi" Giovanni bragged

This caused a big argument between the cousins
about who I would miss more.
This went on for a while until someone spoke up
"You are all wrong. Valentina will miss me more than you animals" grandpa boomed

Once everyone was done eating we decide to hang out outside one last time before they left

"While we wait for your friend to arrive who wants to play some football?" I challenge them with a smirk

Gianni tries to tackle me but fails
"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR TRYING TO TACKLE ME YOU JERK" I taunt
"ITS FOOTBALL EVEN IF YOU'RE MY COUSIN I CANT LET YOU WIN," he says with a groan probably because of the impact of falling to the ground
As I get closer to the end zone I see Xander in the corner of my eye coming right at me
I start running faster and faster and once I get to the end zone and score Xander tackles me to the ground
"TOUCHDOWN," the referee announced aka my grandpa
"We won now Get off me you old fat elephant" I exclaim
Before Xander could respond dad spoke
"Xander your friend is here"
I turn my head to see who would voluntarily be Xander's friend
I freeze when I see who it is
Nikalus is Xander best friend

ever since Valentina walked out after our make-out session she's been avoiding me.
And honestly, I have too.
I have tried getting her out of my mind but have been unsuccessful.
She was like An addiction. A drug that I just couldn't get enough of.
I craved her so much.
Her body, her lips, everything.
But I shouldn't crave her
She's my best friend's sister.

"Xander get off your sister and introduce nikalus to Valentina," dad said
Xander quickly gets off me and offer me his hand to help me up
I take his hand
"Thanks, Xander "
"No problem little sis" he exclaims
We walk over to where nikalus and dad are me dreading every step we take.
Once we get to where dad and he who shall not be named are Xander starts introducing us
"Valentina this is nikalus my best friend "
why does he have to be my brothers best friend
"Nice to officially meet you, Valentina," nikalus says with a smirk
Oh how I wish I could smack that smirk off his face right now
"It's nice to meet you too " I respond through gritted teeth
"nikalus is usually over at our house but since we didn't wanna make you uncomfortable he hasn't been over " Xander explains

"We were just about play hide and seek you down to play?" Xander asks

"okay count to 60," Vinnie tells Giovanni
"1" gio starts counting
I run inside into my room but before I could run close the door someone stopped it from closing with their foot.
"what the fuck-" before I could even register what was going on I was against the wall with Niklaus in front of me.
