2 weeks later
South Dakota
"How do I look?" I asked as I spun around, my white sundress spinning along.
"Beautiful cora." Makkari signed. She hugged me and sersi handed me flowers.
"You look absolutely gorgeous cora." Sersi said as we all looked in the mirror of the house we stayed in.
"Is everyone ready?" I asked. I reached for my necklace that held my ring, a nervous tick I got used to but the ring was no longer there. The chain was still clasped around my neck but the ring was being held by phastos child.
My ring bearer.
"Everyone is ready! The pizza just got here too!" Sersi smiled and left me in the room to look at myself in the mirror one last time.
I looked at my sundress and the daisies that I carried. My chest rose as I took a deep breath.
I turned to open the door but as my hand touched the bedroom door knob I froze.
I smiled at myself thinking where I was, what I was doing, and who I was with.
I walked out of the small room and walked out the the back yard.
All eyes turned to me. Music started to play as I looked at my family by my side.
Sersi, makkari, phastos and his family, Thena, and druig at the end.
I walked to druig and he held my hand.
"So officially this time, this century, this lifetime. Do you druig. Take cora to be your forever only light?" Phastos husband officiated.
Druigs smile was bright as his eyes never left mine. His leather jacket that held a single daisy in the top pocket looked amazing.
"I do. My only light." He softly spoke.
"And do you cora? Officially take druig to be your forever only light?" He asked me. I nodded my head roughly, no hesitation.
"I do. My only light." I repeated. His smile grew and his grip on my hands tightened.
"The rings?" Phastos kid came to us and handed us the rings. Druig slowly put the ring he held on to for years on my ring finger and looked at me.
He smiled and let me put his black ring on him.
"You may now, kiss the bride." As he spoke druig grabbed me roughly and I giggled as his hands wrapped around my waist and dipped me into a kiss.
Every cheered as we broke the kiss and turned around. I ran to my family and hugged them all at once. I turn to see druig happily smiling at me who finally got her family back.
"Okay let's go get pizza!" Phastos spoke as we all went inside and ate.
I grabbed a plate and sat down next to druig on the couch. Makkari to my right and phastos on the edge.
I lifted the pizza in the air and teased druig by letting him try and take a bite only to pull it back.
He rolled his eyes and kissed my cheek and snatched the pizza back taking a huge bite. I rolled by eyes and turned on the tv.
"The sudden appearance of an enormous stone figure in the Indian Ocean has left more questions than answers for authorities. U.S. and Australian naval ships are maintaining defensive positions." The news lady spoke. I laughed and looked at druig who laughed with me.
"You guys did that?" Phastos husband asked us as we all ate.
"I love you so much." Phastos said and I smiled.
"We we're safe about it don't worry." I winked and laughed. I took the slice back from druig.
"Can you just uh one second." Phastos left his plate of food on Makkari legs. I looked at druig who was already staring it down. I rolled my eyes and hit him. I gave him his slice back.
Once we all finished eating it was time to go.
We walked back to the domo as I was hand in hand with druig.
"Hey Phastos. Take care." Druig let go of my hand to talk to Phastos.
"This world is lucky to have you." Druig continued.
"Thank you, I know you're not a hugger, so.." Phastos spoke but druig pulled him into a hug. I turned to Makkari and smiled.
"So dramatic." I signed to her. We both smiled.
"You think when we find the other eternals out there, that they'll except the truth the way we did?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Because the truth will set them free." She signed and I hugged her.
We all walked back to the domo leaving Phastos on earth.
"Oh how I missed my room!" I laughed and ran the halls into my room. I grabbed my blanket and wrapped it around me, my white sundress showing still.
Druig followed me to my room and leaned against the door frame. Watching me grab my books, I looked up to him with bright eyes and he smiled.
"I love you." He spoke.
"I love you too." I answered and I kissed his cheek. I grabbed my book and we walked back to the main room where everyone was. I had my blanket wrapped around me and my book in hand.
Druig sat down and I sat in between his legs and opened my book.
Weeks later
"It's been weeks. We haven't heard from any of them it's like they've disappeared" makkari signed as we flew through space in the Domo.
"Arishem." Thena spoke.
"We have to go back." I suggested. Druig stood by my side eating.
I felt it, a weird energy.
I looked at Thena who drew her swords. I raised my hands in the same direction.
"I feel it too." Makkari signed. I nodded and walked closer to the hallway.
"What?" Druig asked taking another bite. He's lucky he's cute because he's so clueless.
We look at the hallway as a bright light appeared out of nowhere, and a flying small person fell from the light with a cup in his hand. He fell to the floor and started laughing, I looked at Thena and scrunched my eyebrows in confusion.
"Oh wow my ears. My eyes are numb. No more drunk teleporting for you!" The small man child spoke.
"Umm.." I started to say but he continued.
"Hang on hang on.." he cleared his throat and I smiled at the small man child trying to stand straight.
The light came back as we all huddled near the hallway.
A man appeared as the small man child mimicked an entry trumpet.
"Behold, the royal prince of titan, brother of thanos, the Knave of Hearts, defeater of black Robert..." he introduced as the man walked to us. Druig walked behind me.
"Roger." The man corrected. The small man rolled his eyes.
"Defeater of black roger, the great adventurer, Starfox of Mystery Planet" he corrected himself as the man walked closer to us.
"What a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my fellow eternals." The man looked at me as a hand wrapped around my waist. Druigs grip was tight and I smiled.
"You know you don't have to do the whole thing every time?" The man looked down at his man child.
As they argued about the introduction being impressive then Thena spoke.
"Who are you?" They quieted down and answered Thena.
"I'm Eros, this is pip. And you are as beautiful as legends say Thena. Same to you beautiful cora." Eros looked at me and smiled.
"What do you want lads?" Druig asked and held me closer. I smiled and looked at him.
Jealously is kinda a hot look for Druig...
"Pip and I are here to help, aren't we?" Eros spoke and pip burped. I giggled at him.
Eros pulled out his connection sphere to arishem.
"Your friends are in big trouble. And we know where to find them." He spoke. I smiled and turned to Druig who held a stare at eros.
"Ready for another battle?" I whispered.
He looked down at me and smiled.
"As long as you're by my side." He spoke softly.
"Obviously..." I said
"Good because guess what." He pulled be away. I followed and asked him
"What?" I looked up at him.
"You're my only light ." He sealed it with a kiss.
