-Third Person P.O.V-

It was now late Sunday evening and once again Peter hadn't gone to see Bucky. He wanted to, he really did, it was one of the only places he felt, and was, safe. But he had been too distracted with being Spider-Man and helping people.

Currently, he was sat on top of a building, listening for any form of danger and for someone who needs his help. Even though he had only started to save people yesterday, his name- or well his alter ego, Spider-Man's name was everywhere, news papers had his face stamped on the front and whenever he was spotted photos were taken of him.

Peter had been able to avoid May the whole weekend which he was very happy about. Although he had a high chance of it being thrown back in his face tomorrow morning when he left for school. He knew May would be more than pissed at him, but he didn't care much, he knew now he was helping people when he was out and that was good enough for him.

He was hoping to see Bucky again, but he knew he probably wouldn't have much time with how busy he was with having to help people, and now having to go to school. Luckily as well, he had still been able to go to Delmar's and get his sandwich and sneak food when he got home, as now he was able to be a lot quieter and stealthier.

An echo of a scream reached his ears and he jumped up from where he was sitting and listened closer to where it was coming from. As soon as he knew, he was jumping from the building and catching himself on a web before moving closer to where it was heard, intended to go and stop what was happening and help the person who needed it.

-

Peter was right when he though May would be angry at him. He got home late last night, at around 2AM and woke up again at 6AM to get ready for school. As soon as he walked out of his room he knew he was screwed.

He heard the thumping feet of May and knew there was no escape.

"And where the fuck have you been," May growled, walking over to Peter with a sneer on her face.

Peter swallowed down his fear, or at least tried to. He couldn't help but hate himself for how scared he was while being confronted by May. Within the last couple days, he had been able to face any form of bad person, ranging from a thief to a robber with a gun pointed at him, and he wasn't scared then. But now, being faced with someone who was meant to be family, and who he had known for as long as he could remember, he couldn't helped but be scared.

"I'm- I'm sorry, I was out," Peter mumbled, knowing no matter what he said, it would still cause May to lash out and hit him.

Her eyes narrowed in anger and she took a threatening step towards Peter, Peter wanted to step back, however, he couldn't take anymore step backs because his back was already against the wall. Peter really wished his Uncle was here, he knew he would stop her, but he couldn't now because he wasn't here anymore.

And it was Peter's fault.

'It's okay to miss him Pete, it always will be. And I know you blame yourself for it, but you shouldn't. You weren't the one to pull the trigger and there is no way it was your fault it happened, okay,' Buckys words echoed in his mind, pushing away some of the thoughts that were consuming his mind.

"Not good enough Peter, I thought by now you would have learnt," May mumbles before her fist flew towards his face.

-

Peter kept his head down as he made his way to school, thankfully he wouldn't be late, even with May hitting him for a good half hour, and then having to go get Delmar's. His face throbbed with pain and he knew he more than likely wouldn't be healed until tomorrow, his chest was more than likely bruised and he wouldn't be surprised if my ribs were cracked or even broken.

Thankfully he knew Ned wouldn't question were it had come from, after all, he was used to Peter coming into school with cuts and bruises all over him. He never questioned it however, thinking it was just from Flash the day before.

He used to want Ned to know, or work it out that something wasn't right. But now, after what happened, he couldn't help but be grateful that he doesn't know, he really doesn't want anyone to know anymore, it would be bad and he knew it wasn't something that would end well anymore.

Peter carried on walking towards school, knowing he didn't have much time to spare. Thankfully he wasn't too hungry and knew he would be able to hold it off until later at lunch. When he had got home last night he had taken some more food to eat, guessing there was no way he would be able to eat when he left.

The school finally came into view and Peter winced slightly at how loud it was. After being bitten on Friday, he had been working on trying to stop his senses from being overloaded, although he couldn't help but be a little worried about going into school; after all, even without his senses he had found it hard to go into school with how loud it was.

Taking a deep breath he pushed open the main doors, flinching at the onslaught of noise that reached his ears. Peter took a deep breath though and made sure to try and block out most of it, only allowing small slivers of the sound to reach his ears rather than all of it at once.

After a moment of concentrating and making sure he wouldn't have an overload, he began to make his way down the hall, making sure to keep his eyes open and to look for Flash anywhere to see if he was about to come for him. Peter was never sure if he would come for him before or after school.

Walking to his locker he heard some snippets of conversation, he was shocked when he heard people keep talking about Spider-Man, he knew he had a lot of publicity from all the videos, pictures and articles written about him, but he didn't think people would be talking about him with so much interest. He heard many of them saying how Spider-Man was the new hero and could have something to do with the avengers, and Peter couldn't help but smile at that.

Getting to his locker he begun to get his things out when he heard someone walking towards him. He didn't panic though because he knew it was Ned, and not Flash.

"Oh my God, dude. Have you heard?" Ned asked, jumping up and down on his toes and skipping over anything else he would say.

Peter had a pretty good idea what Ned was on about, he knew Ned had a big obsession over the Avengers and any kind of 'hero,' or 'villain,' that was out there, Ned would know. Part of him was put on edge knowing that Ned was going to be talking about him, well, Spider-Man. He wanted to tell him, but he knew deep down that would be a bad idea, it could put Ned in danger, it felt the same with telling people about May, as though it would be the same consequences.

"Heard what?" Peter opted to say, hoping Ned wouldn't say what he thought he might say.

His hopes were shattered before they could even begin to grow as Ned was quick to respond, "there is this new hero. Spider-Man, he's been spotted all over the city over the weekend and has been stopping all kinds of crime. Dude, this is- this is crazy. Like, who is he, is he an Avenger, how does he do what he does, I just, oh my God."

Peter widened his eyes in shock about how quick Ned was talking and silently shocked himself that he was able to understand what his best friend was saying.

"Oh yeah I heard about him, although I'm not sure how to really answer any of that," Peter shrugged, hoping Ned didn't suspect anything. He could lie about bruises and what had happened to him -he had been doing it for so long now-, but this was new, and he couldn't help but worry he might give something away with his strange answers.

Ned didn't even stop to think about Peters reply before he was gushing over more things that Spider-Man had done. Peter let out a breath of relief as Ned continued to speak, he knew this would be a long day with how many people were going on about Spider-Man.

-

Lunch rolled around suprisingly fast and Peter was grateful as he was beginning to get starving. It seemed Spider-Man had become a hot topic to talk about as through the whole day, that had been the main thing everyone spoke about.

Peter found it rather funny about all the speculations going on about who Spider-Man really is. Some say he was an experiment gone wrong, and that was how he got his powers- which in some way he thought was true, but he didn't really believe that.

Others said the reason he wore the suit was because it was literally who he was, and if he were to take suit off it would be nothing but a faceless being with no features. That one confused him to no end and he wondered where it had come from.

Another he heard a lot of was that he was actually an avenger, and he had been kept under the radar to help people without all the commotion and reputation that the others held. Peter didn't mind this one, although it was still very farfetched.

Ned carried on to talk about all kinds of theories as they ate lunch. Peter had just eaten the last bite of his sandwich when his senses picked up someone walking up to their table and Peter couldn't help but tense up, knowing exactly who it was.

"Penis Parker, what a surprise, you still look like shit. I also heard you losers talking about Spider-Man, I doubt he would bother saving you Penis, anyway, him and I are friends, so I know who he is, and he for sure wouldn't save you," Flash bragged, making both Ned and Peter roll their eyes.

Peter wanted to laugh at how stupid Flash was, he really just said that didn't he. Peter is really doubting he can actually help people if this is the standard.

"Sure you do Flash, keep dreaming," Ned retorted, shaking his head. Peter was a little shocked by this reply, as Ned wasn't someone who would say something like that, at least to his face, but from the face Ned was pulling it looked as though he was just as fed up of Flash's bullshit as Peter was.

Flash didn't reply, seeming shocked by Neds reply, however, instead of taking his anger out on him, he turned to Peter. "I hope you're ready for late Parker, Spider-Man won't be able to save you from what's going to be coming," he sneered before walking off, his friends following closely behind.

"I really can't stand him," Peter sighed, knowing there would be no way he can get away in time after school.

Ned turned to Peter with a guilty expression, "I'm really sorry Peter, I didn't mean to say it aloud and now he's going to hurt you because of it."

Peter sent him a reassuring smile while shaking his head lightly, "don't worry about it, really. It would have happened either way. If anything, I'm glad you said it, it's about time he gets put in his place."

This seemed to cheer Ned up a little as he sent Peter a smile while nodding his head.

-

Peter was now sat atop a building, his suit back on and a small smile on his face. After school Flash had been there, and although he got some good hits on Peter, Peter didn't allow it to damper his mood too much.

The pain was bearable, as it was just a little more than this morning, and he knew as long as he ate something tonight and got a good nights sleep then he would be fine.

Part of him wanted to go and see Bucky, but he knew he needed to help people so instead he pushed back the need to go to where he felt safest and listened for anyone to help. He knew he should probably take it a bit slower, but he really didn't want to, he had just started and he wanted to be able to help as many people as he possibly could.

A scream was heard and Peter jumped up from where he was and looked around, focusing more on his senses then before. He could distantly hear a deep voice speaking about handing things over and Peter jumped down, ready to help whoever it was.

He wouldn't let anything stop him from helping people, he wanted to make sure they were okay and safe, something that he hardly knew of anymore.

*Location- Bucky's hideout*

-Third Person P.O.V-

Bucky settled into the comfy sofa, a book, like always settled in his hands and a small, almost unreadable smile on his lips. The peace was nice and he couldn't help but be thankful he had found this place when he had.

Although, it wasn't all peaceful for Bucky. It was currently Monday and Bucky hadn't seen Peter now since Friday evening. Don't get him wrong, he knows Peter doesn't always have to come here, but it still felt wrong for Bucky. He was worried for the kid, he knew this place was like a safe haven for him- much like it was for Bucky- and that he would always be here for as long as he could on the weekend. But this time, there was no sight of him at all the entire weekend.

Though Bucky was worried, he had a pretty good idea about where he actually was. News had spread quick about a new 'hero,' apparently called Spider-Man, and when Bucky heard this, he couldn't help but be happy.

Deep within he knew Spider-Man was Peter. It didn't take much for him to work it out, for Peter had said about a spider biting him. Bucky had also helped Peter when he found out about his powers and made sure to help him with it. And to top it off, Bucky had even suggested Peter using his powers for good and helping people.

With a sigh Bucky shut his book, the smile- albeit small- vanished as he began to think more about Spider-Man, and Peter. He knew realistically that Peter would be fine, he could handle it himself, but that didn't stop Bucky from worrying. Bucky knew the reality of being a 'hero,' or at least helping people, sure, Bucky didn't have the best track record in helping people, but when he was trying to redeem himself and make it up to people, he knew the struggles of helping people.

Bucky was also worried about the repercussions of being a hero, the people that would be after him would cause a lot of issues. The main person Bucky was worried about right now was Ross. He knew as soon as he heard about there being a new hero in town, he would want Peter- well Spider-Man to sign the accords, but Bucky really hopes it doesn't come to that, Peter is too young to be controlled by some corrupt government figures, but he also knows if Peter doesn't sign them, he would be sent to the raft and that would be terrible.

He silently hoped that Peter would come and see him, he really wanted to check in on him and make sure he was okay. He wasn't used to not seeing Peter for so long, sure, it hadn't been long, but since the day they met one and another they haven't gone more than two days without seeing each other and speaking.

Looking at the clock he saw it was already quiet late and decided it was time to head back, knowing it'll be harder to get home if he leaves it too much longer, knowing a lot of people seem to go out at night and he didn't want to be spotted.

Bucky hoped Peter wouldn't arrive when he was gone or need help when he wasn't there, part of him wanted to tell Peter where the other hideout was so if he ever needed he could come and find him there if he can't find him here. But he knows that's probably not the best idea right now as the others don't know about him and might not like the fact Bucky had told someone.

Shaking his head he put his book down and stood up before leaving, making sure to lock the door behind him to keep everything in there safe. He used to not bother, but now it seems a lot more important, seeing as Peter also goes here and he doesn't want someone to come and take all their things.

Bucky listened carefully before he stepped out from beside the door, making sure there was no one around him to allow him to be spotted. Once he heard nothing he stepped out of the shadow of the door and began his walk back to the others, although he made sure to still stay stuck to the shadows of the streets, not wanting to be spotted or lead someone to where everyone else was.

*Location- Rouges hideout*

-Third Person P.O.V-

Once Bucky stepped through the door he felt as though something had changed. He didn't hear the commotion of one of them arguing with another, or someone complaining. Instead, he heard nearly dead silence.

Looking around he spotted everyone crowded around something and all whispering about something.

Bucky narrowed eyes when he saw that and made his way over. Steve was the first to spot him, and when he did, he sent him a rather strained smile. Bucky lifted a brow in question and the others then noticed his presence.

No one said anything for a moment and allowed room for Bucky to come through and see what they were looking at. Once Bucky was close enough to see he looked at what they were doing. A newspaper was sat in the middle of the table, the front page on full display and a big image of Spider-Man plastered on it.

''WHO IS THE NEW HERO IN TOWN''
'Is he on his own, or is he a ploy to get the avengers to look better?'

He read over the article one last time and held back a sigh, this wasn't what he wanted at all. He knew if his friends were to find out about it, they would want to know everything about Spider-Man, who he is, how he got his powers, everything and anything about him. And Bucky really didn't want that for the kid.

Not only that, if they were able to easily find out about him, that would mean Ross would hear about it too. And if he heard about it, it would mean Peter would be hunted down and forced to sign the accords.

Bucky took a deep breath before replying. "New hero, cool," Bucky cringed a little at how he phrased it, although no one seemed to take notice of it other than Steve who sent him a confused look, and maybe a hint of worry in his eyes as well.

"I think we need to find him before Ross can and see if we can get him on our side. We would also need to make sure he's not doing this for the wrong reason and see how he got his powers, if it gets to the wrong person, it could easily cause havoc," Natasha spoke, her eyes flitting from everyone in the room to make sure people know she's being serious.

"I agree, although it may be hard, seeing as we can't be seen out," Steve said.

Everyone stayed silent for a moment thinking over what they could do when Sam turned to Bucky. "Maybe you could do it, seeing as you're always out and are one of the best at staying unseen. He seems to go out most nights so you might be able to find him."

Bucky internally winced, knowing there was no way he was actually going to do that. However, he didn't let that show and he stayed silent, opting to nod instead.

"I can go to, it would make it easier to find him if there is two of us looking, and I'll make sure to stay hidden too," Natasha spoke making the others nod in agreement.

Bucky was silently panicking but he didn't allow any of it to show, seeing as Steve kept looking at him in worry.

They all spoke a little more about it before they all split apart, Bucky went his own way and Steve followed close behind. Once they were away, Steve started to talk. "Is there something wrong, you seemed quiet tense talking about this Spider guy."

"Spider-Man, and it's nothing, just thinking about some stuff," Bucky replied, not wanting to tell Steve just yet, especially as he wanted to talk to peter first about it.

This seemed to confuse Steve even more but he didn't comment on it, instead he sat silently beside Bucky allowing himself to give at least a little comfort by just being there. Bucky appreciated it as he liked being around Steve, after all, they had been friends for a long time now and Bucky didn't want to be alone right now as he didn't want to think more about what could go wrong.

The pair sat there in silence, both gazes on the outside world, with the moon and stars shining discreetly in the sky as the light pollution began to grow.

Bucky really hoped Peter was okay out there and nothing too bad would happen to him.
